You get asked a few questions about your energy and what you want to focus on and then for acupuncture, they'll check your energy levels. After inserting the needles in, they leave you to it. No music or meditation or chants. Just you, and the car horns outside. I think that's where I'm a little disappointed. Other places I've been either give you one of the two and check in on you. I was just sorta left for I'm assuming was 30 minutes? There's no clocks so I lost track of time. Next few times I came, I was prepared to do some meditation on my own and really focus on my thoughts, breathing and healing. I have pretty decent insurance and so it only came out to about 20 bucks per session and at that price, it goes from a 3 star review to a 4 star. But without that, I could easily rate this a 3 star place. I'll be coming back for sure though. Every where else seems to have a wait list or they aren't as nice. Everyone is super nice. You wont find anyone not happy to be there.

However, that was not with Dr. Shani and I was not consistent in my treatments. After 3 months of weekly appointments, which concluded in September, I am still feeling 60% better. Now, for those of you unfamiliar with the aches of aging, this is miraculous. Osteoarthritis is not a wound that "heals," rather a constant, nagging friend that keeps you from your daily activities. To have a 60% reduction in pain is better than most over the counter NSAIDs, without the nasty side effect of destroying what's left of my kidneys. SHE IS A TRUE PROFESSIONAL and her practice is a gift to those of us in the east county area. But they texted me very clear instructions on how to find them so I had no issues there at all. The establishment was impeccably clean. The staff was extraordinarily professional and well trained. Because of a scheduling hiccup, I ended up having two different massage therapist, but both of them were amazing. Truly. I have a regular massage therapist I see at home in New Orleans, so I try not to vary too much. But I end up traveling a lot for work. They did not disappoint.
