I appreciate that level of communication. I like firm pressure without it being deep tissue, and she delivered exactly what I was looking for. The massage was excellent, especially for the price. I was very happy with the service and already knew I wanted to leave a generous tip because I felt the therapist earned it. I asked for her name afterward, and I believe she said it was June. If you're in the area and looking for a good massage at a reasonable price, I would definitely recommend this place. One thing to note is that it's not completely quiet, you can occasionally hear traffic and sirens outside. The brief stretching at the end was also enjoyable and felt beneficial. The cons: outside of the back walking and final stretching, the Swedish massage portion felt disjointed and choppy. The flow never really came together, and it felt as though the therapist may not have been fully trained in traditional Swedish massage techniques. I also wasn't a fan of the oil that was used. More oil had to be applied between what felt like nearly every stroke, which interrupted the experience, and the scent was quite antiseptic and clinical rather than relaxing. She even did a free facial to go along with the massage that lasted longer than the hour that we paid for. The price was a bit more than other places on Coronado, but we can honestly say it was well worth the extra money. At the end of the massage, my wife was completely relaxed and Antje even gave her some free Mediterranean bath salts and EmergenC due to the toxins that come out after a massage. With Antje, it's not like that. Not only is she absolutely great, but she brings an 'aura' with her. I'm not one to believe in the 'aura' stuff and hocus pocus, but after the first session I felt amazing, 100% better. I went back to the parlor/spa's to save a few bucks, but I went back to her a few hours later because IT IS NOT THE SAME. Give her a try, I can't say much more without repeating myself :).
