When I asked about it, they explained their crossing of normal parental boundaries as a community service. This is gas-lighting and not an acceptable apology. My son also broke his thumb at this studio, which he did not have permission to go to. When I asked about this, I was told he should not have "hit that way." This is a ridiculous and dangerous response. The studio claims to offer their services out of the kindness of their heart, but they are funded by [insert funding source here]. This information is not readily available on their website, and I had to ask for it directly. I do not want my kids boxing or receiving direction from people who do not respect the rule of law. I urge other parents to be cautious about this studio.

The method focuses on very slow and controlled movements to activate specific muscle groups and create a shake, similar to Pilates but also its own thing. I like that every move has a challenge and modification to make it easier, so that everyone can participate in the guided workout! Their 4 for $40 offer for newbies is a great deal (just remember to use them within 14 days of your first class!) and their social media pages have a ton of info readily available. I wish that they were more on top of enforcement for mask wearing for coaches and participants. They do ask you to wear a mask when coming in, but coaches seem to not respect it (pulling it away or pulling it down their face to talk) and this spills over to participants. Some people had it off the whole time.

I enjoy the type of workouts he provides much better than the time I've spent in gyms, and I see more results. I find myself hearing Josh in my head throughout the day when I remember to squat instead of bend, and do other daily activities which had caused me pain, and which, thanks to Josh, I am now learning to do correctly. I highly recommend Josh and Forgotten World Fitness. It truly has been life changing for me.

Not too sure of all the complaints below here…read more This seems to me like there is a large population of old-timers that have experienced an operational change in the business that they are personally not satisfied with. I'm a Calisthenics athlete, with much experience in a variety of gyms. This is one of the only locations with a Sauna, Steam Room, and two Olympic-sized pools with multiple lanes readily available. Their core equipment is fantastic - there are no bent barbells as mentioned in the reviews below (again, no idea where this is coming from) You are paying to stay healthy. So focus on staying healthy. As far as the staff - they are young, but attentive and kind. I myself am 30 and I have literally never had a problem with them. If I have locked myself out of a locker, need education on the available personal trainers, or if I (like one of the posts below) mention a ***particular*** (1/1000) towel hasn't been washed properly - they take it right off my hands. I personally love Genesis and the staff as an athlete who needs a local place to hit all muscle groups. Do not let the below comments from individuals below who probably couldn't pick up a toothpick sway you from a fantastic center. As far as cancellation goes, I have heard nothing but that is an easy process. "Predatory" does not describe the cancellation process at Genesis. What I find remarkable is that Genesis Health Clubs Miramont South continues to ask members for more money while simultaneously expecting them to tolerate broken equipment, maintenance delays, and facility issues that seem to have become the norm rather than the exception. Your response actually highlights the problem. You mention having thousands of members, which means Genesis has access to substantial revenue. That makes the persistent state of disrepair even more difficult to understand, not easier. The fact that your defense is essentially "we are big and things take time" is astonishing. As for the spin room, claiming that members are providing "great feedback" is frankly insulting, and either profoundly out of touch or intentionally dishonest. Either management is completely disconnected from member experience, or it is choosing to ignore it. Anyone who regularly uses that room knows exactly how miserable those conditions can be. Members are not blind, and they are not stupid. We know the difference between a problem being fixed and management pretending it has been fixed. What is most frustrating is the complete lack of accountability. Every problem comes with an explanation. Every complaint comes with an excuse. Every concern is met with a canned response explaining why members should lower their expectations and continue paying anyway. At some point, Genesis needs to stop blaming parts shortages, policies, and circumstances, and start taking responsibility for the quality of the product it is selling. The reality is that Genesis charges premium prices while delivering an increasingly substandard experience. I no longer believe management is interested in hearing criticism, only in defending decisions that have already been made and in complete denial of the state of the facility. Setting up my appointments was quick and easy, and I found the facility clean with good equipment. All the staff I encountered (Andy, Sam, Max) were always helpful and friendly. My assigned trainer, Addison Huck, worked with me for all eighteen of my appointments. I found this beneficial because Addison would adjust my sessions based upon my progress. Addison is always super positive. which was especially helpful during the first three weeks when recovery is tough. ProActive (Addison) got the best out of me over these six weeks, and I strongly recommend them.
