ATTENTION BUSINESS PEOPLE!! Today our C corp attempted to start a bank account here at the Everett branch, what Is required to open such an account is either the original Articles of Incorporation or Certificate of Incorporation & FEIN # ALL of which we HAVE! the issue occurred because we changed our co name and so the original Certificate of Incorporation has the old name and not the new name which is reflected in the amendment to our articles which I also provided, when I explained to the BRANCH lead that there is no such thing as what she DEMANDED RUDELY repeatedly even though NO SUCH DOCUMENT CAN EVER EXIST! So I had to GO back to the OFFICE after DRAGGING my 5 year old into this appointment at 1 pm which has me waking up at 10 after a 4am shift!! working all night! So I go to our office speak with the official at the State corp division who re explains to me what I already explained the the SUBORN ILL INFORMED RUDE LEAD at the BECU branch in Everett WA so I tell him , yes I know there can be no new articles or certificate but the lady at the bank has decided that she is the official of stupidity so I ask him to email me what he just explained and to speak to her explaining to her that there is no such document that she requested foolishly still not accepting the answer even after I return to the bank!! with the communication from the State Corp Division and the Original Articles of Incorporation! She still continues to tell her agent who is trying to open the account that it is not good enough for her and that she simply Trust her own judgment and NOT the state! She told me that even though the state can NEVER issue a new article of incorporation with the new name that because her banking institution requires it that the banking institution supersedes the state and that I must meet her demands which I just proved to her were ABSOLUTELY WRONG, this woman cannot STAND to be wrong, cannot admit that she is WRONG after 4 god damn hours dealing with her! they are acting like it will be all ok now and at THE LAST GOD DAMN MINUTE having me god damm sign and fill papers stringing me along!!!!!! as if it will be ok , after the final hours she says OH well the lead has just decided that this information is not good enough and that she will ask her boss!!!!!!! who just left for the day 10 min ago!!!!!! wtf!!!!!!!! you couldn't ask the boss earlier!! when I god damm told you that you were wrong and that I consulted the STATE!!!???? you waited until he leaves for the day when I have been in your god damn office with my 5 year old all morning being patronized my you acting like you are going to be kind but all the while act SUPER FAKE AND FULL ABSOLUTELY FULL OF MICRO AGGRESSION YOU ACTUALLY STUNK TO HIGH HELL OF AGGRESSION YOUR ENTIRE DECISIONS WERE BASED IN AGGRESSIVE !! The only reason I keep this account is I needed a credit union outside of CA (for tax reasons) that doesn't charge a foreign trans fee for debit or credit card transx and moving to Europe.  Otherwise, after a month since I joined, it's been a thoroughly miserable experience  dealing with member services, for the simplest of requests.  (1).  I needed a direct deposit from form from my employer signed.  It took three weeks, with holds of over an hour, faxed forms (Why fax? because you can upload an attachment to the secure message on the site, but they say they can't print it, only view it. Lame), and being told it takes two weeks, and then the rep the task was assigned to sign it sent me a form letter verifying account, when my instructions explicitly said the employer only accepts their form with a bank signature.  (2).  I requested for paper CC statements not be mailed to me, i.e. e-statements only.  After the requisite FORTY TO NINEY MINUTE HOLD TO SPEAK WITH SOMEONE, a really nasty rep who was groping for the right answer, directed  me all over the website on a wild goose chase, then asked me if I received a letter with the paper statement that came in the mail saying I was ineligible for e-statements?   I told her I don't understand.  Her reply was "What part of that don't you understand?"  I said about not being eligible.  She said if my email was rejected.  (Ridiculous).  Then she finally stumbled either into another guess, or possibly the right answer, which I won't know until the next CC statement is issued.  She said with new accounts they send the first statement by mail.  The upshot is, I would look elsewhere unless you need a debit and credit card account outside of California without foreign trans fees.  I will miss Redwood Credit Union in the Bay Area, which has great service and no foreign transx fees.  I already switched my linked accounts and bill pay, and direct deposit to this lame credit union, but if I hadn't I would have gone with Pentagon Federal Credit Union, or State Dept FCU, which are both open to the public.  Message. TO BECU:  HIRE MORE STAFF!   I recently got an extension to bypass the hold, and when the person picks up, they say HOW DID YOU GET THIS NUMBER?  Here's how you save yourself an hour on hold if you're a glutton for punishment, or you already have an account (my condolences):  call 800-233-2328, then option 1, then 7333, then 2, then 3.  You'll get a live person in "Account Servicing" (which they should rename because the service is poor) , ...the last time I did this, they were live, but not necessarily helpful, and transferred me back into the queue because they couldn't solve my didn't have the knowledge to answer my question. read more

I was told by friends BECU had great rates for auto loans so I applied at the main branch in Everett, took about an hr & was given a list of docs they wanted & gave me a username & password that was the best part of my experience. Emails didn't work ,no return calls from Kim. So I decided to go with the seller to the W Seattle branch ,we met with David after an hr & uploading my paper work that was already suppose to be down we could not complete the loan. now this is going on the 2nd week. We went in again 5 days later & met with a different person ,doc that we had the previous time were not uploaded, I gave my tax returns & they need a schedule E,They needed an emissions report even though I live in Island county & we don't have emissions testing.The Manager had to come sit next to this guy & help him out. So after 2 long hours it came down to "we can't process your loan because the tabs are expired. So the seller need to get emissions & tabs & then I get to buy tabs to register it in my name. SO we are now going on week 4 Schedule E is in my tax returns the seller is Pissed that he needs to spend the money for tabs & testing & I'm pissed that this Bank doesn't know what the hell they are doing,let's see what happens when we go for a 4th time to finish the loan. BECU constantly fails their "valued" customers DAILY by mismanaging fraud situations and restricting access to your own money. I have been hung up on countless times in one day (today) while simultaneously getting told something different from each rep I spoke with on the phone. This is the same poor experience I receive anytime I need assistance with my checking account, savings account, and/or debit card etc. It is a NIGHTMARE to get access to MY funds. This should be illegal. I have a painful + debilitating medical condition and am unable to get my medications due to the BECU reps failing to assist me and give me the CORRECT information. The unprofessionalism and corruption at BECU should be reported to the government as it seems the way they manage customers' money is not legal. DO NOT EVER BANK WITH BECU UNLESS YOU ENJOY BEING LIED TO AND STOLEN FROM!!!!!!!!!! read more

I have been a member of BECU for as long as I can remember. I would never go back to a typical bank. I'm watching as my children get older and get their own accounts at a bank instead of the credit union only because they don't want to drive the distance it takes to get to BECU. The only problem is they keep finding themselves having to pay a fee here and a fee there. They are finding out that the few times they actually need to go to a branch (instead of just a cash machine) is worth the trip for a credit union. We love BECU and have never had any issues with them. They have always been pleasant with us and very helpful. We are life time members! read more

I opened an account 10/7/2011 with a substantial deposit. this morning 10/10/2011 I've signed up for online banking. Now I am trying to access my account to see if my deposit has been posted. I have never seen a site with so much garbage in it. I could not find on-line banking and when I finally did, it would not accept me - "invalid password". I was in the BECU bank in Everett on July 3, 2017. While I was there ALL my money was stolen off my SSI debit card. All of it for the month of July. They do this remotely these days. The BECU bank refused to cooperate with the Police so that they could file a report for me because I'm not a BECU customer!! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE for the community!!! INCIDENTALLY THEY GET NO STARS FROM ME...YOU HAVE TO CHECK AT LEAST ONE STAR AND I COULD NOT UNCHECK IT!!! read more

Becu is the worst bank ever Be careful if you are planning on getting a loan with them. They do not have the info structure to get what needs to be done in a timely matter and can have horrible effects on your lives. read more
