Thru the years there have been several stores that opened and closed. The largest and nicest Belk is here. There is a movie theater, Apple Store, lots of restaurants and more. I recently visited Dillard's to buy shoes for my 4-year-old, and unfortunately, it was one of the…read moremost frustrating retail experiences I've had in years. I don't typically shop in-person, but I had this idea that we might get help with sizing and understanding of the difference between the brands if we went in-person. Maybe there was SOME reason to still make the hike out to a box store, as opposed to buying on Amazon. Well, after waiting 20-30 minutes, trying on the display shoes, no staff in sight, and my 4-year-old begging to leave - I had no choice but to help myself.... In hindsight, yes, I should have just left and taken my business elsewhere, but my son already picked out a toy...so, I was pretty set on getting him shoes, a toy, and heading out. Anyway, after trying on all of the display shoes that I could find, I finally went into the back to grab several pairs of shoes so I could start fitting my child/hopefully complete my purchase. I was balancing six or seven boxes and organizing them for my son to start trying on when two staff arrived. I was finally asked if I needed help. Ha! I said that yeah I really did need help, but I had everything I needed at the moment. So, then, one member got a real stern voice and serious look on her face to tell me customers were NOT allowed in the back room. Like I was in the wrong or did something wrong - In front of my child. I said I wasn't sure if anyone was working the area, or if it had turned into a self-serve option. (Everything else has). I explained I had been waiting for almost half an hour, and I just wanted to try on some shoes. The staff member then told me that they had not been off the floor THAT long. Again, in front of my child. Like - why are you arguing with me about the amount of time I was waiting without help?? A simple, 'I'm so sorry for the wait--let me help you from now on though, because I'm the one that should be getting things from the back FOR you' would have resolved everything. Instead, the staff chose to reprimand me, argue over irrelevant details like how long they were gone from their post (you think I WANT to go do your job), and generally make me feel extremely awkward and unwelcome. To make matters worse, they stood off to the side glaring at me as I juggled putting shoes on my kid AND putting ones that didn't work back into their boxes. Wouldn't it have been helpful to assist me in that moment? Wouldn't it be great to say, "Hey, I'm sorry we got off on the wrong foot there at first...but, can I help a mom out by putting these shoes away for you if they don't work?" For reference, I purchased $130 worth of shoes and toys from the store that day and had intended to buy multiple pairs of shoes if anyone had been proactive in helping. But, honestly, it was easier to just go to Belk.

Grocery delivery has probably been one of the biggest game changers for me - why go to the store…read morewhen I can have milk in my fridge in 2 hours? All without having to put on shoes. But then, some days, a stroll around the store can be just what you need to brighten your day. Walking around Target, feeling the texture of the pajama pants, comparing lipstick shades - things you just can't do from an iPad on the couch. Of course I ended up with things in my cart that I didn't go in for but I also didn't come home with what I wanted - the skim milk was set to expire the next day and the only available size of the laundry pods that I wanted would last me a year. Target is not much different than a number of stores today - finding help was nearly impossible. I used self checkout which I'm sure got me out a whole lot faster than waiting in the only open check out lane. I'm not about to give up online shopping anytime soon but spending an hour strolling around Target was a nice distraction.

Anything a "good" Target has, they don't. While your average Target is putting out all new Spring/Fall merchandise, this location is 2 weeks behind that. The employees here are the dumbest in the nation and arrogant beyond measure.

H&M isn't a store I visit often. This was probably like my 3rd or 4th time at this retail chain in…read moregeneral. The prices were reasonable. I purchased some shorts and a sweatshirt. The sweatshirt was on clearance. The store was well organized and I really like the style of clothing they offer. I am very pleased with my purchases and didn't have to spend a lot. Win , Win! However, when I saw Stein Mart I was very excited and hopeful that I would be able to find a nice black maxi sweater. I did not want anything casual and if it had a little bling that would be perfect. If you are accustomed to shopping in the Atlanta area stores, you will probably be disappointed by this store which is much smaller and therefore very limited in content. Although they had a couple of cute pieces, I was disappointed overall. I was really surprised by the cheap acrylic sweaters that they are featuring for fall. I will never accept style over quality because I don't like pieces that look cheap and I prefer natural fibers when it comes to sweaters because they just look more polished and will last longer. While I love Stein Mart, this one just does not measure up and so my search continues.

I told them the NEW version was $16.80 and the old was on sale for $10 and change. The manager "agreed" to give me the price for the NEW version. 3) Then, I want to buy a dress and mention that Patagonia has it on sale. The clerk denies me the sale price because of the color. So I have to go BACK in line and show them the color of the dress was indeed there! Ridiculous waste of time.
