I spent at least 45 minutes with an attorney talking to me about my specific situation in language I could understand and in a way that helped me sort things out. I honestly believe that if they did not think it was a good idea that they would of told me so. It was just like getting advice from a family member, except Mr. Berkhimer really knew what he was talking about. I gotta admit that I was terrified to meet with an attorney but he just has a special way of explaining things - I know that I'm only a single client to them but I honestly came away knowing they did care. I can't put my finger on it but this guy is different, not pushy, just down to earth and there to help. Can't believe I just said that about an attorney. He tells you right up front that his goal is not to get mine and my husbands business but to help us out of a tough jam and if we wind up retaining them then great, if not, then give them a call if they can ever help out. I reopened my case in 2023 and it has been the worst experience ever. My attorney lacks communication and does not follow up via emails or phone. He gave me misinformation about a deed that I have in NC and made it appear to be my fault. I am in the process of trying to get approved for a car and he told me that he did not know because he does not handle that. My sister recommended this firm to me but I would never refer anyone to them! Bad choice!
