Great store for finding deals. I've bought multiple presents here for family members.

However, I got a deal on a nice office chair and a brand new pot! The offerings are quite good - and the staff is helpful, answering questions as it was the first time I had been there. With regard to the reviewer who mentioned price: everyone's going up! I want to blame the resellers, but I think it's just everything going up. Compared to other places, the prices seem to be about the same. So everything's going up - and the number of people this store serves (helps the homeless) are growing, so the need is growing.

Even if that's not the same title given to the firm- they come in convince management they can "save" them and earn them so much more money, charge huge fees and don't give a damn about bankrupting them. They are in their to steal the capital. They don't care about the community and all the multitude of reasons this establishment was in existence. And especially a firm from Tennessee in PA. I know that from living there 25 years now as a "Northerner." When I heard why stores were shutting down and saw how they were running them, It was sickening. So sad that so many are so unaware of the corruption out there. And it is probably all perfectly legal according to laws of by and for the wealthy. I'm so sorry management fell for this. In past few years I was able to purchase some really great items for my home when I finally get moved back to PA. When clients get so disappointed and disgusted, I doubt they'll be pulling in great donations. So sad. Maybe they can find a way out of this to recover for the community. True Goodwills prices have gone up too much. But you can still get multiple discounts for different people on different days. And at least they're still stocked. I wish the best for City Missions recovery. I also wanted to mention the thrift store in Uniontown is so poorly stocked. And the layout of what is there is a mess and the clothes (which is a far less amount) are jammed so tightly together on less racks you can't even go through them. I just walked out. Sorry but it's true.

So, Zicknacks and Treasure Trove Fleatique both share same address and signage is for Treasure Trove Fleatique. Once inside, the downstairs has used furniture while upstairs has booths for different vendors of used items, a lot of it vintage. There is even a plant booth which I loved and purchased a couple plants at a good price. Sooo, after coming home and searching online I am deducing on my own that Zicknacks occupies the main floor/downstairs portion of this venue of furniture and furnishings (I never saw any signage-- did I miss it?) And other vendors occupy upstairs. I must admit this particular visit there wasn't that much furniture but I can see that this is a good option when searching. The cashier is on the main floor near the front door. Searching online it shows Zicknacks also does donation pickup and has Hauling services.

I've been coming to Friends Thrift Shop ever since I was a kid, and it has changed quite a bit!…read moreThere was a change in management a few years ago and it was definitely for the better! Over the past couple years, the whole place has become better organized and a lot cleaner. The prices and weekly deals are definitely better than they used to be. Friends carries a wide variety of items. The first floor is furniture, kitchen items, household decorations, toys, and books. Within the past year or so, someone has really stepped it up by staging living rooms and kitchen sets. Looks great! The second floor has clothes, shoes, purses, bedding, and more furniture. They have an elevator if you have difficulty doing steps. The clothing selection is mostly older stuff, but occasionally you can find some neat items. They do have a dressing room. Overall, Friends is a pretty good thrift shop, especially when you compare it to what it used to be. All of the volunteers are very friendly and helpful. A lot of locals come in and shop. Friends used to get a lot of organs and there was an elderly man that would come in and play old rag time music on them. There are some treasures to be had at Friends! They run weekly specials, so even if you do feel some items are overpriced, it will likely go on sale in the future anyway. You'll always have a good experience at Friends!

Seeing that you are always getting new merchandise to move. I appreciate that you don't take advantage of charging higher prices. I've been to Goodwill's & I can buy a $5.00 blouse brand new, at WalMart on clearance vrs GW that charges more for a donated blouse. How is that helping , folks with a lower income ?
