Nothing like supporting another indigenous culture as I am also part of one, Native Hawaiian. I tried their Milk Chocolate and Dark Chocolate ground coffees. I mixed it with a regular brew I use, and they both added delish chocolatey notes to my morning iced coffee ritual, the dark one being a tad more intense and my favorite of the two. Cute 50's diner vibe, but the food was not good. I got the padini and although the ingredients were fresh, it was so doused with dressing that the bread was mushy. A small little shop with sandwiches, soup, and some sweet treats like chocolate and ice cream. We wanted a quick place to grab a light-ish bite for lunch before heading to the water for the day. Not a ton of seating inside, but it's part of a strip of shops and there's some seating outside. We sat outside which was nice, other than the flies! I considered doing their half sandwich and cup of soup, but they were sadly out of soup (even though I think it was just then noon?). At least it made that choice easier! I liked that there was some uniqueness to the sandwiches here. I was intrigued by the pesto mayo and wheatberry bread in the Caprese sandwich (and always love turkey for my sandwich meat), but ended up with the Blue Patsy instead, which had some fun ingredients too. It had pastrami with marbled blue jack cheese, garlic mayo, lettuce, and tomato, on a croissant. I was a bit skeptical about the pastrami, because I really don't order much but chicken or turkey, but wanted something different that day. Plus, I had a turkey sandwich the day before! It was pretty good. The meat thankfully wasn't fatty or anything, but it wasn't cut how I was expecting. I thought pastrami was more like a pepperoni type texture, but here it was more like a roast beef texture. Not a bad thing though. The flavor of the garlic mayo was a great addition, and took it a notch up from if they had just put plain mayo. The marble bleu cheese was a standout! I had never had bleu cheese marbled before so that was cool. I couldn't really taste the pepper jack cheese. It was almost more like bleu cheese mixed with provolone cheese. It mostly just seemed like it toned it down a bit but was still prominent and pungent (in a good way). They had miss vickys brand of chips, which I like! I almost always go for the jalapeno flavor, but again I felt like mixing it up that day I guess. I got my second favorite instead which is the salt and vinegar. I thought it would match well with my sandwich and I was right! They also gave us two little chocolates, which was a happy surprise. We got the dark chocolate raspberry and the milk chocolate fudge. We decided to split them so we could each try both. We agreed the raspberry was better, but both were good. It was a nice end to the meal! read more

The food tastes greasy like they don't clean their grill. The two women that worked in here the other day was a red headed girl and a short black haired woman, who was the manager. The attitude of these women was awful, they do not need to be in customer service when they act like their customers are annoying, you are here to work. You need to actually work, the bathrooms have not had paper towels in them for the past two times I've been in the restaurant, and the trash cans are never taken out, every time I go over to dump out my trash it's full! lazy workers, they do not represent the Chickasaw nation very well at all. The only problem I had woth Bedre is the fact they shut down their grill an hour before closing. I wanted a Panini at 615 and they don't cook anything after 6. The sandwich I had was very good and the dessert was excellent and the price was right. Just make sure you're there at least an hour before closing if you want anything hot. This is one place we have to stop at every time we are in Sulphur! Never had any kind of dessert there that I didn't like! My personal favorite is the chocolate ice cream, though! I love that they don't charge tax because they're part of the nation. The variety and stock is awesome! The prices for bedre goods themselves are kind of high, but that isn't the cafe's fault. We have also had great service on every visit. I appreciate that they have outside seating because of COVID right now. I also appreciate that the staff is wearing masks. Many of the stores downtown the staff were not wearing them and they weren't required to enter. That definitely made me want to give them my business. Putting my health and safety first! Came to Sulfur for a girls weekend. We found this place Saturday evening for dinner and we're pleasantly impressed. I ate the chicken salad sandwich and my friend has a spicy chicken wrap. My chicken salad sandwich was absolutely delicious! I'm not a fan of pecans in my chicken salad but this thankfully didn't have many. It was perfect combination of cranraisins, celery and chicken on a croissant. We finished with the caramel shake topped with a chocolate candy. We enjoyed it so much we went back for lunch on Sunday! I ate the Turkey Caprese sandwich. Again it was delicious! Only reason it wasn't a 5 was the trash situation. We had just eaten in the hotel, so when senior day in the casino awarded us with a Bedre meal coupon, we were almost disappointed. We decided to check it out, and were excited when we were told the coupon would work for ice cream. We knew the coupon had a $6 value, so we were looking for a menu with pricing for ice cream. They must have been having trouble with their menu boards, because there was nothing available to help us make our decision. I'm telling you the ice cream was SO good! Rich, creamy, thick, perfectly flavored---I could go on. And, the scoops were the size of tennis balls (or larger). Bedre is one of a speckle of store fronts at The Artesian. Parking and entry is right off the street, so you don't have to navigate the hotel to find it. It's a simple place with a tight range of food - mostly sandwich type stuff, along with soups, coffee, ice cream, and desserts. Of course, they sell Bedre chocolates for what I assert is a fair price and the chocolate is pretty good. Blu Patsy (3/5): Not a bad sandwich overall. My favorite part was actually the jack cheese with garlic. It brought the pastrami and croissant together well. The croissant was a little too dense for my tastes, but the flavor was good. The pastrami didn't make much of an impression on me; good but not memorable. Broccoli soup (2/5): Bland and inoffensive. It didn't taste bad, so it was easy to eat. While staying at the wonderful Artesian Hotel/Spa/Casino on Thanksgiving 2013, we decided to go down and get a bite to eat and were pointed in the direction of the Bedre Cafe (associated with the Bedre Fine Chocolates). When we entered the cafe, there was no one there except a man sitting in the back booth looking like he was doing work and an older woman leaned over the counter (from the customer side) talking on the phone. After waiting a few minutes, a group of women came in behind us and greeted the woman on the phone, and after she acknowledged them, she went back to her phone conversation. Finally one of the women said 'Mary, I think these people are here to get something". Mary muttered something and went back to her phone conversation. So we decided to walk out and try to find somewhere else open (and I know it's Thanksgiving, but if you're open, you're open and it's not my fault, it's your boss's fault). After finding no where else to get a bite to eat, we went back to the cafe and Mary was finally behind the counter working. She said she had been talking to her supervisor, but according to her name tag she was the manager. So we ordered our lunch. I had the roast beef sandwich and my fiance had the chicken salad. The sandwiches were mediocre at best but what really aggravated me was that I noticed manager Mary had added 7.50 to the price of our already over-priced lunch. I went back up with the receipt and asked what the grab and go $7.50 cost was. She said it must have been something her new register software did. So after Miss Mary fumbled for 10 minutes with her new software, she finally said I'll just give you cash and proceeded to hand me the $7.50 back. I asked about the tax also and was told that it would be too hard for her to figure it out and take the $7.50. My review is if you want ho-hum food and piss poor customer service, stop by Bedre Cafe in Sulphur. Maybe if you come on another day and have another employee, you might have a better experience, but if you walk in and Manager Mary is working and you have somewhere else to eat, go there for a guaranteed better experience. read more
