The atmosphere is nice inside the Artesian Hotel. We had the fried green tomato BLT (it was good) and the club (it was bland). Service was very slow for two sandwiches at lunchtime. It wasn't very busy but still took a long time to get our food. Drinks were empty for a while even after asking for a refill. Maybe they are just short staffed. Would be better if servers worked as a team and other servers offered to refill drinks or clear plates. Don't know if I'd go out of my way to go back unless just staying at this hotel. read more

Weekday experience was poor. Waited 13 minutes for a host at breakfast at 9 am. I even walked through the restaurant to see if there was a waitress or anyone who could help us. We were staying at the hotel but almost left due to the wait. Finally, "sit wherever you like" appeared. Waited a while longer while looking over menu. They automatically serve water in nice glasses. Then ask "do you want anything to drink besides water?" It comes out in a styrofoam to go cup. Orange juice and sweet tea. From sit down to food arriving it was 33 minutes. Presentation was okay. Food quality poor! We were so disappointed. My husband specifically requested his hashbrowns to be crispy. She wrote it down. They came out raw and full of grease. Added a side that consisted of 2 slices of microwaved bacon for $5. I ordered French toast, eggs and sausage. The French toast was BLACK on the bottom. I mean burnt!! The sausage tastes good but was also burnt. Eggs were just okay. Never offered a drink refill. Overall we paid $55 for two people to have 2 drinks, an omelette, side of bacon and hashbrowns. French toast, sausage and eggs. This place looked nice, I didn't have my phone out but I wish so badly I had taken pictures. We stayed for 2 days and did not return to the Springs due to the poor experience. Won't be back if we stay there again. read more

Fancy looking located inside The Artesian, we had high expectations, but ended up disappointed. The crisp watermelon salad was supposed to come with spinach but mine came with spring mix. And the spring mix was not fresh and had black rotting edges. Had to send it back, and they replaced it. The smothered chicken was okay, but nothing to write home about. Hubs got the monte cristo sandwich and that was just okay too. Only the appetizer pork rinds were decent. Didn't really need the pimiento cheese nor pickled tomatoes. Stumbled on the Springs by accident looking for a buffet at the Artesian casino, which they don't have on a regular basis. I had the pan seared talapia and wild rice with a side salad and rolls and my husband had the southern catfish meal. The food was really amazing and not as pricy as I thought it would be. The ambience is upscale with white cloth napkins and high bench seats and the service was very attentive but not too invasive. Very nice discovery! read more

We are staying at the Artesian for a spa day! The girls and I decided to dine in the hotel and this was the spot! We were greeted quickly and seated. The waiter was very timely and responsive to our questions. He had a great disposition and described the food with so much excitement, we thought it would be fabulous. Just alittle disappointed all the hype wasn't accurately conveyed in the taste. Presentation pretty but good just okay. I had catfish dinner and the hush puppies were the star of the show. My vegan friends had vegetables and didn't like the hard uncooked carrots, or the mashed potatoes.. the french fries looked okay. Long story short, bad food & bad service. Full story.. we called and asked if it was busy and if we needed to make a reservation. They said there was plenty of tables, and no reservation needed tonight. We live very close.. so we were there in 10 minutes and when we got there we were told there were no tables. That's fine but they took our number and never called us back. Bus boy in the blue shirt took our name and number and said give them 15 minutes to clear a table and they would call us when one opened. Went downstairs and waited, went back up 45 minutes later to check and there was a bunch of clear tables.. got seated right away by a different person. And we had never received a call back. As far as the food both of our risottos had very hard undercooked grains. I attempted to eat some of mine because I had already taken insulin, my husband just left his untouched because he said he couldn't eat it. We are big foodies who eat out a lot, love the casino and bedres cafe and the candy shop have all been top notch. So it's a little bit disappointing that the restaurant experience wasn't that great. read more

Overall, from sitting down at our table through our meal, we were pleasantly surprised to be waited on hand and foot by our waiter Chance the Friday before Fathers Day. It was our first visit to the Artesian, let alone first experience at the Springs and I couldn't complain; my friend got the beef tips and stroganoff and I had the sirloin- both were delicious. I loved this restaurant. The ribeye 12 oz was amazing cooked well done so juicy and the mashed potatoes and asparagus was amazing ! I have paid $120 for steaks at top notch restaurants , and by far this steak is very delicious and tops one of the best steaks I have ever enjoyed in my life . This is the best restaurant by Chickasaw national park . My son had the Citrus Salmon 6 oz with fries and it was phenomenal to end the meal we got the brownie skillet dessert it was really good . This place is a pretty good spot to eat in Sulfur, OK. The food was good and the service was not bad despite the fact that they seemed understaffed. If I have to be picky about something, I would say that I paid $50 for a $20 ribeye. A $50 ribeye should be between 1" and 1.25" thick. Mine was probably 3/4" thick. This was a belated birthday gift from one of my dear friends to me. We met this morning and the hostess was super kind and sweet. We ask for a table by the window and we got it :-). We started with a couple of mimosas. I had a pineapple mimosa and it was super delicious! Like, you could tell it was real pineapple juice, maybe even fresh squeezed! I could've had 10! For an appetizer, we chose the fried green tomatoes because I'm a huge fan and after all, it's my birthday celebration. They were my least favorite thing of the whole entire meal. There was way too much breading, which took away from the wonderful taste of the tomato. It didn't need a dipping sauce. Well, I took that back, because of the breading, it did need dipping sauce LOL. For lunch, I had the Sorings salad with blackened chicken. The greens are super colorful, beautiful and they had an awesome taste. The chicken was welcomed, real chicken with just the right amount of seasoning. Or to die for. I am not supposed to have any gluten but I couldn't stand it and I had to! Pair it with the apple butter and oh my gosh, heaven on earth! Better had small chunks of cinnamon that were delicious! For dessert, we had the turtle brownie, which was out of this world. I would love to go back and try some other options. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon the Springs of Artesian after we found out the two other dinner places we wanted to go to were closed. It was a delightful surprise and I am so glad we ended up here! Parking is very easily though finding the location can be tricky because it's on the second floor. It is part of the Artesian casino, hotel and spa. Tip: Do yourself a favor and get yourself on the reservations list with Yelp or any other app of your choice! The influx of people are hit or miss, and it just makes life easier during COVID19 times. Staff were very friendly and definitely enforced the social distancing and mask policy. Everything was very clean and spaced appropriately. I think this was one of the first places we went to post COVID19 and we felt very safe. The food is delicious and we enjoyed every bite! Our waitress recommended the fried zucchini and it was great! We are from The DFW area and come up to visit the Chickasaw Heritage Museum. I am Chickasaw and have read many times about the Artisan and have wanted to visit for sometime now. The ambiance of the Springs from the moment you walk in reminds you of a very upscale restaurant in Dallas or Ft Worth. The young man who waited on us was unbelievably helpful as well as pleasant to visit with. He was so polite and yet willing to give us his recommendations. Which were perfect. He also gave us suggestions from the bar, appetizers and deserts. We will definitely back very soon and will be staying the weekend at the Artesian. I wish I remembered our waiters name because he not only needs a raise but recognized as an amazing ambassador for your Hotel and Town in general. Superb job! read more

I don't usually leave poor reviews and the food was good, but the service was mostly terrible. Our server rarely came by for our large party of 20, and guests went through most their meal without any water refills. There was a hair in my salad (gross but sometimes happens) and I asked for it to be comped, but afterwards the server dropped dirty utensils on me twice as they cleared the table. I'm sure it wasn't done on purpose but it made for a very poor overall experience. The next morning we had breakfast here, and while the service was much better and the food tasted good, the sausage and gravy biscuits were warm at best, bordering on cold, as if it had been sitting out for a while. I feel like my expectations were too high: anticipating a finer dining experience, but it came off as just a casino cafe. read more

While staying at the Artesian we decided to have dinner at The Springs. I would definitely say this is probably the nicest restaurant in Sulphur. It was a Saturday night and the place was packed (Covid version of packed so less tables than normal) but definitely glad we had a reservation. The highlight of our meal was the fried zucchini appetizer! It was amazing! Overall the food was good nothing crazy to write home about, but good. We spent the weekend with the fam in Sulphur, Oklahoma so we could spend some time at the Chickasaw Recreation Park with our kiddos and Grandson. We were ready for dinner, so of course, we hopped on Yelp and found this restaurant at the Artesian Hotel, just down the street from the Bed and Breakfast we were staying at. It has decent reviews, so we decided to check it out. It looks fancy when you first walk in, but it's not. They sure are trying to be though. You can pretty much sit where you want. Of course they take your drink order when you're seated. But they also bring out a basket of this awesome bread with cinnamon butter on the side. Great start! Our party was pretty large, and most everyone ordered a different meal, so we were able to taste each other's sides and such. The portion sizes were pretty large. Two of us had their chicken pot pie, it was huge and delicious! They both added sides as well. One Mac n Cheese, one a side of French Fries. I had the meatloaf w mashed potatoes and gravy and bourbon glazed carrots. It was also a big slice of meatloaf. It was ok, but the mashed potatoes and the carrots were amazing. I ordered my Grandson their kids Mac n cheese with French cut green beans, he inhaled them! My Daughter ordered the Cobb salad, it was delicious too. My Son ordered their Tilapia w asparagus. Everything we tasted was really delicious. Since the town is so small, we thought we were going to have to eat dinner both nights there, but we were lucky enough to find Smokin Joe's for our second dinner! We've eaten here several times. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is elegant, and the wait staff is friendly. This time we were able to sit at the bar in the restaurant. We love to sit at the bar when we eat, so when we found out that seating was available here now. We were excited. Christi was our bartender, and she was delightful. We enjoyed visiting with her, asking about the menu and the wine choices. We decided on Fried Zucchini, Meat Loaf, and a Baby Kale Salad.
