Recently I received an email checking in on me and my condition. I was confused until I realized that the email was not only meant for someone else, but that it was sent to dozens of other patients, all with our email addresses listed on the email. Unfortunately, an unsuspecting patient replied all to this email so we could see her private correspondence with her provider. This reply happened THREE days after the initial email. It took them that long to realize their mistake and when I reached out about my concerns regarding privacy violations, I got a curt response with a brief apology about not sending the email as a blind copy. I take my rights as a patient very seriously and am not happy when these rights are violated and the violation itself is addressed in a cavalier manner. If you feel similarly, I would not recommend you visit this practice.
