I was diagnosed with a pinched nerve in the solar plexus by an Orthopedic in November of 2023. My pain level was severe to the point I could not function. getting out of bed to go sit in my recliner was the only physical activity I was capable of performing. Meds, including steroid pack had no affect. PT eventually got me to a functional state, but pain stayed in the upper moderate to severe scale. I was later diagnosed with three bulging disks and a bucket of pinched nerves in the neck by a Spine and Pain Center in January of 2024. I received an epidural in the neck which sent me into multiple back spasms a day for weeks with a pain level that dropped me to my knees. Spine Center wanted to burn nerves, but I was done and declined further treatment. I was now on my own, as allotted PT via insurance was used up. I spent the next four months caring for my own body, but could only keep my pain level mid moderate. Quality of life had declined tremendously, and I was no longer involved in every day family activities. I would come home from work and go straight to bed. On 05/31/2024, I woke up with the same level of pain and loss of mobility I had in the beginning. I immediately started researching Chiropractors. I found Dr. Jeremy Cayer at Healing Touch, and was impressed with the amount of 5 star reviews and testimonies. I called and spoke with Graziella at the front desk at 8am on the dot. She informed me Dr. Jeremy was extremely booked, but asked what was going on. I described my situation just as I did above. Graziella's response was, "Can I call you back in a few moments? I need to look at a few things." 15 minutes later, she asked if I would be able to come in promptly that same day. I did, and the entire staff at Healing Touch showed major concern for my current condition and promised do to anything they could. I met with Dr. Jeremy, and for the first time in this entire process I had a feeling that someone cared and wanted to focus on restoring function and quality of my life. He listened, showed concern, and preceeded to do an entire spinal exam. I was asked to come in the following day to go over his findings and develope a care plan. He also did an adjustment after we walked through the care plan. Instantly my pain level cut in half, and a decent range of mobility restored. Just one adjustment in, and Dr. Jeremy has given me more recovery than any other steps I took over the course the last 7 months. Not only did he set aside time in his busy schedule to help me heal, he also gave me the realization that I still have a plethora of life ahead of me to enjoy. I'm a 36 year old man who thought I was permanently broken. I know I have a long road of recovery in front of me, but I am 1000000% confident I am in the right place under the right care. I have been having issues with my back lately and was seeing doctor after doctors. None of them honestly helped, all they did was prescribe me painkillers that 1. didn't take the pain away and 2. it only made me sleepy and fatigued the entire day. I recently moved from California back to my native state of Maryland. One of the first things I did was check out chiropractors in the area. After going through the providers who accept Medicare, I decided on Dr. Jeremy Cayer because he's a recent graduate of chiropractic school and I figured he'd be versed in the latest methods. My move was stressful to the max and of course, moving involves lifting things, so it was imperative I find someone who could put right what my daily activities had put wrong. I have a bulging disc that causes excruciating pain, sometimes making it difficult for me to walk. Dr. Cahill listened to my needs and despite having some reservations about what I was asking of him, (he told me what I wanted was counterintuitive) he went for it. And voila! Healing touch has made a huge difference in my pain management! Dr. Cayer is knowledgable and cares deeply for his patients' well being and wellness. I was having sciatic pain when standing after seated for long periods of time, and after 3 months, that pain is completely gone. Dr Cayer is awesome!! He truly knows his stuff. However, his staff makes it a huge challenge. First I got a bill and was told she just sends them out and didn't look (that in itself is a problem). Then after THREE MONTHS I was told I had a $25 copy and owed FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS!!! The excuse was that they just got the Explaination of Benefits the previous day. I have never worked with a doctor's office that just waits for thr EOB to show up. Also, they never explained to me that 'maintaince' is not based on my health but a generic measurement set by Medicare (and therefore all insurance companies). So I was considered to be 'chronic' by my insurance. So be careful when you are told that you are ready for maintenance and make sure the office calls and get an answer from your insurance company before you got for your first visit. Do not believe them unless they put it in writing that you will not have a copay. read more

Dr Cayer is the best Chiropractor that I have found in Frederick. My wife and I have searched for some time for a Chiropractor that performed a complete evaluation of our conditions, then proceeded to do adjustments or therapy with results. That is what we found with Dr Cayer. He is very knowledgeable, focused on solving your problem, and clearly loves his work. His treatment is not formulaic. What to expect: Dr Cayer's office is very basic, with the roller beds and adjustment beds just in a partitioned off area. There are exam rooms for his very detailed exam or your condition. He has nice soothing music. The Front desk staff is great. His appointments are on time. An initial assessment is made with a level of detail that I haven't seen at other Dr's. Dr Cayer, approaches Chiropractic in a wholistic way. Treatments: Dr Cayer uses his initial assessment to provide a thorough adjustment, including muscle work as necessary. The adjustments are thorough and at first you will feel it afterwards. His treatment plan may seem repetitive, but it gives results, so stick with it. He reduces the visit schedule as soon as he thinks it will not result in regression for the patient. What is different about Dr Cayer, is the usual 30 minutes to hour of being on a roller bed or with electro stimulation is gone unless you request it. We all know Chiropractors who park patients in rooms while they slip their schedules. Not Dr Cayer. The visit is prompt, the adjustment is made and you are on your way. While he accepts most insurance, for those who have visits not covered his fees are reasonable. We highly recommend. read more

I have been seeing Dr .Cayer as a patient now for 1 year. This doctor has taken my everyday burning leg pain and miserable back pain and turned it into a thing of the past! For over 10 years I had been experiencing a multitude of problems that no one could find a cause for. I met with the top surgeons in Maryland who couldn't help me. Went to pain management for injections with little relief, pain medication only made me feel out of it. I was even having mood swings and insomnia that I couldn't explain! I was almost ready to give in to nerve "burning" or a spinal cord stimulator, when I literally found him set up at a local event last year. I figured it couldn't make things worse. We came up with a lengthy treatment plan and I did not have high hopes. After the first few visits, I had already noticed that I no longer had the burning pain in my legs, and after a few more, I was pain free!!! This practice and doctor have changed my life! 11 years I've had back pain, which in turn was referring pain that resonated all over different nerve endings of my body.
