I got two seats reupholstered to go from tan to black for a great price. He had even gone out of his way to make some minor modifications to get me some more leg room in my fairly small Miata, as well as spray the plastic bits around the seats black to match. My new covers are slightly modified OEM, so I can't speak to how he does complete custom fabrication, but he was incredibly willing to work with me and think things through. I'll definitely be coming here again.

I had two French style chairs upholstered after I had refinished the wood frames. One was an…read moreantique chair and the other was a good traditional chair made in the 1970's. On both I had updated the chairs by painting the wood frames, one in creamy beige and the other in a beautiful soft grey. I chose my fabrics and discussed the best approach to the seats with Donna, the owner. We decided on springs, foam and fiberfill to create a softly rounded seat and back on the antique French chair. For the other chair we were able to do the seat with foam and fiberfill, no springs. Both chairs look fantastic. The seats are firm and sturdy and beautifully upholstered. The workmanship is flawless. My chairs are showpieces now and I love them. I totally recommend St. Matthews Upholstery. The prices are fair and consistent with other upholstery shops but the best thing is the workmanship is amazing for the price.
