My favorite products that they produce are pepper stick and pepper bologna. I'm not a fan of sweet Pennsylvania baloney and this pepper stick/pepper baloney is absolutely delicious. It's about as spicy as a Slim Jim, but not all greasy and full of fat. I've never had a deer processed here, but it is evident that they do a very good volume of total Deer Processing. What I do is bring in venison, in this year 25 pounds, and they convert it into pepper stick both in the bologna form and in the stick form. There is a nice large refrigerated display case right inside the entrance door featuring beef, pork, chicken, cheese, sauerkraut, and other products that they produce. They assured me that is not the way they do business, and they will not have their employees treating any of their customers the way I was treated. I was going home from work, stopped in with my grandson to get something quick for dinner. I went to the deli the lady working behind the counter had her back turned to me. When I walked up, she turned around to wait on me because she could not see who she was waiting on. she literally looks me in my face and turned her back. When she did that, I started timing her to see when she would turn back around and wait on me. There was a very kind older gentleman working with her and told her she had a customer, he then asked me if I needed any cold cuts and I told him no thank you I was only there for cheese. I waited for seven minutes before another white customer came behind me and she instantly stopped what she was doing to wait on him. Her coworker told her to wait on me first because I've been waiting for a while. she totally ignored him and continued to wait on the white gentleman that came behind me. He refused her service and told her I was waiting there way before him. I reported this to the manager directly in front of the lady who refused me service. The only thing he said was he would talk to her, no apology or sense of urgency to remove her before she treated the next black customer with such ignorance and hatred. Do we as black people still have to deal with the ugly face of racism just trying to get cheese?
