Wow! Sausages are wonderful and so are the sandwiches. Friendly place to pick up lunch and meats.read more

TLDR: Galvinell Meat in Havre de Grace lives up to the hype. Massive, beautifully built hoagies,…read morefriendly staff, and a butcher counter full of unique house made offerings. Easily in the conversation for best hoagies in Maryland. This butcher has been on my short list for a while thanks to its recent fame in the Hoagie Gurus Facebook group, where their Old World Italian has become something of a legend. After finally making the trip, I can confidently say it deserves every bit of that buzz. We stopped in on a Saturday around lunchtime and the place had a steady flow of customers. My wife and I ordered the Old World Italian hoagie along with a hot roast beef and gravy grinder that was running as a special. While we waited, the staff was incredibly nice and helpful, and we took some time to browse their butcher case. Everything looked fantastic, and we ended up leaving with several packs of house made sausages that were too interesting to pass up, including a chicken crab cake sausage and a brisket cheddar. After a short wait, our subs were ready and they were both absolute units. Since they have a few two tops for the lunch crowd, we did not even make it to the car before digging in. The Old World Italian was exactly what I hoped for. Piled high with Italian meats and cheeses, sharp provolone, roasted red peppers, and prosciutto, all served on a sturdy yet soft seeded roll. The meats were perfectly layered so every bite was balanced and flavorful. No dead spots, no overwhelming salt bombs, just a beautifully constructed hoagie. The hot roast beef grinder was equally impressive. Freshly shaved beef, rich gravy, and melted provolone came together in a way that felt indulgent without being heavy. Comfort food done right. Between the quality of the sandwiches, the welcoming staff, and the incredible butcher offerings, Galvinell Meat is a destination. It is absolutely worth the drive and firmly belongs in any serious Maryland hoagie conversation.

Morning Sun Marketplace is a flea market located outside of York that is open on the weekends. I…read morerecommend entering from Route 30 as it gives you the easiest access to the parking lot. Parking is not an issue with plenty of spaces. In the back of the complex is the outdoor Flea Market area, which vendors vary on a daily basis. You'll find a little bit of everything, because it's essentially a giant yard sale. In the front of the complex are the sheds, which are literal sheds vendors can lease and sell from. The main complex is three connected buildings with various vendors. Morning Sun Marketplace, unlike some flea markets, has a wide array of dining options. Vendors included video game booths, toy booths, trading card booths, and many others. The selection was rather impressive. All of the buildings were clean and well kept. Our biggest surprise was the booth style collectible and antique center in the middle building. It was full of high-quality items including many retro toys and collectables. If Morning Sun Marketplace is your local flea market, it's a great place to stop in at regularly. We were here in the off season, so we can't speculate on how many produce vendors show up during the months with better weather. Overall, it was worth the visit and I would return.

I have to admit that the advertising for this place is excellent! THAT is the only good thing…read moreabout this place. We arrived on Saturday around noon and right away knew something was off. There were people selling stuff out of their vehicles scattered around the parking lot. No designated area just hap-hazard and very sketchy looking. We parked and walked inside and right away we noticed that it was dirty EVERYWHERE. There were multiple empty spots where there might have been a vendor at one time. The lighting was terrible, and the place smelled as well. Everything looked outdated and most of the food vendors looked like they hadn't seen a health inspection in months. After a quick walk around the first building we headed back to our vehicle and couldn't get out of the parking lot fast enough! We won't be going back.........EVER!
