BeeKind is a great neighborhood shop, and it's owned by two sisters from Tipp Hill. I'm a big fan of their seasonal decor, such as pretty watercolor dish towels. Their hand poured candles come in lots of delicious scents. They also offer a fun and unique variety of things like drink mixes, keychains, and earrings. I often visit to buy gifts, and love that they sell cards as well- I'm especially a fan of their plantable seed cards. A gorgeous little shop right next to Recess coffee in Tippery Hill, Beekind specializes in sustainable and local gifts, particularly their 100% soy wax melts and candles. I previously brought home the Peach Bellini candle and not only does it smell AMAZING, but it lasts so long! If you bring back your finished candle jar they will also give you 10% off your purchase, which is a great incentive for sustainability. They also offer items like a rechargeable lighter, which I'm in LOVE with since it reduces the waste associated with candles (plastic lighters, lighter fluid, matches, etc.). Aside from candles, you can also find various pillows, throws, kitchen utensils, bath bombs, plant accessories, jewelry, and locally made treats... for both humans and pets alike and most are locally sourced brands (e.g., 210 Teas, Syracuse Soapworks, etc.)! This is a great place for gifts, and they even offer recycled wrapping paper! The most charming part of the store, in my opinion, is their variety of bee-themed items. The bee pattern they use on their fabric items is super cute but they also have items like decorative metal bee-shaped wall hooks and, of course, honey. Their wax melts are in honeycomb shapes, as well! If you like to decorate for the holidays, you're in luck, because this shop also offers rotating sustainable seasonal items! Last time I visited, they had picks for Easter, which included items such as painted wooden eggs and ceramic egg trays. Currently they have a gift set for Mother's Day which includes sustainable self-care items from several local brands. Every time I come in there's something new and different! I have been meaning to visit this shop since it recently opened and finally got a chance to!! Honestly easy to spend an hour or so in this cute store. I got to meet one of the owners!! Its owned by a sister team and they feature other items that are also local. If you have not had a chance to visit yet its a MUST!!! This time I bought a cute arrow ring, a candle, and shower steamers that release essential oils. This store is such a great place to shop for that self-care as well as a great gift for someone. read more

Ok, so I don't live in Syracuse nor do I live anywhere in New York but I did receive an amazing "Secret Santa" gift from Yelp CM, Angela R. from BeeKind products and I couldn't be any more pleased. Based on the very small amount of items that I added to my "wishlist", Angela was attentive and knew precisely what to shop for. My gift package included a 1 fl. oz bottle of beard oil (Cedarwood scent), a small, wooden beard comb, Adirondack Pine bar of soap (smells like a forest after a fresh rain) and a BeeKind candle (Bound Book scent) which smells like fresh leather when burned. Everything smells amazing and masculine. I love leather so the candle was a nice surprise. There are so many options out there in regards to beard oils but I do prefer the ones with all natural ingredients such as coconut oil, almond oil and so forth. This beard oil is glorious. It smells woodsy but not overpowering, is light and provides some body to the mane on my face. After application, the wooden comb just glides, providing equal distribution throughout my beard. It does not clump, it's not sticky and keeps my skin hydrated as my beard continues to grow. Love this stuff. The soap is just as good. If you close your eyes when you're lathering your body up with this Adirondack Pine, you'll feel almost as if your butt-naked in the middle of a Midwest forest, getting cleansed in the most natural way. The scent is enough to linger on your body without you smelling like a Paul Bunyan later. I'm going to be definitely checking out more of BeeKind's products for future use and I cannot thank the Community Manager for Yelp Syracuse enough for this well-thought gift.
