I got a tattoo done by Kenneth back in November. I put off writing this review for so long because he was a very nice guy, but I feel the need to warn others about my experience. I was planning on getting a very small four-leaf clover tattoo. Since it would be so small, I decided to just do a walk-in. I showed him a reference photo, which was a dainty, simple line art tattoo, and I'll include a picture of it below. Instead of going off of the reference photo, he proceeded to google four-leaf clover designs and scroll until he found one I agreed to. I am obviously at fault here for not standing my ground, but I found it kind of weird and I felt too uncomfortable to say no. As he was tattooing me, I felt him pressing SUPER hard. My first tattoo was on my chest, yet it was less painful than this one was, because of how hard he was pressing the needle into my skin. I still have some raised lines on my tattoo which I'm worried is permanent scarring. I wanted fairly thin lines (like in the reference photo I showed him) but he gave me pretty thick lines, without asking me or communicating with me about it at all. Almost immediately after I got the tattoo, I noticed the ink was starting to blow out. Again, this was my second tattoo, so I already knew how to care for it properly and I followed the aftercare instructions to a T. The lines on my tattoo have blown out and become even thicker, while some spots are missing a lot of ink. It's overall very splotchy and uneven. i'll attach a photo of it below. Between the lack of communication and the seeming disregard of what I requested, I have been very hurt by this experience. I paid $118 (not including tip), and I honestly feel like I was completely ripped off. I would have been fine with paying that if the tattoo had turned out decent. Now I have to pay even more to find another artist who can try to fix it. I realize I have fault in this too for not sticking up for myself or even just leaving, but I still feel like this experience is worthy of a negative review. I don't know about the other artists working at this Beelistic location, but I would advise not to go to Ken for your tattoos. read more

I'm visiting from out of town and had been wanting to get a tattoo for a minute. I started following a bunch of local tattoo artists and reached out to many shops. My artist @tatigaiart reached out immediately. I sent her some ideas and she responded quickly. When I arrived the day of, we finalized my design. I opted to just chill rather than talking. It was a tribute piece for my fiancé who passed away and I just wanted to enjoy the moment in his memory. She was so amazing and I was so relaxed that I fell asleep. I didn't think that would happen because people said the back of the arm is painful. I will definitely continue to come back to this shop. They had great music. The art on the wall. About a week ago I took to Beelistic's Facebook to see if anyone was willing to do inner finger tattoos. Not many places around have artists willing to do them. Neither did Beelistic. However, just the fact that they answered me on FB really makes me a fan. Most shops ignore social media DMs and require you to stop in. For me, it is not that simple. Regardless, the mysterious person behind the FB messages referred me to a few artists that do finger tattoos (no inners). I live in Mt. Washington so it only made sense to go with Neil Glenn. Shop minimum is $60 which is very fair considering how well known Beelistic is. They sport their blood borne pathogen certifications which is always nice to see. This shop is clean and sterile, everyone here is legit. I emailed Neil and he gave me his number to text right away. I wanted a super tiny, simple tattoo that I honestly didn't even think he'd want to do but he got me in within a week. He was very timely and got us going right away. You digitally sign a waiver and state exact what you expect from your artist. I like how thorough the waiver is. Neil is a very cool, down to earth guy. Even when I told him I was a wuss when it comes to tattoos, he still was super calming and cool. Neil specializes in black and white portraits. My tattoo took all of 8 seconds to complete. My husband wrote a letter "m" and Neil copied it exactly onto my skin. It's intricate so I'm very impressed! I was in and out of the shop in 27 minutes!! Highly recommend. read more

Walked in there, super nervous, but the front desk people were kind and welcoming. However, when I told them what I wanted, just a very basic one-word prompt, they went over to one artist, and said, "Would you do [prompt]?" and he said yes. We went over possible designs and he said, "I'll draw something up tonight, how does tomorrow work?" and I said sure. I am a student and was looking for a smaller linework/blackwork(?) tattoo, and for some reason, he kept insisting on shading/highlights that I did not want. Said it'd be easier somehow. Asked other tattoo artists in the shop in order to convince me, said "this would look sick, right?" and they all agreed. Except I did not want shading or highlights. I did not want any color. I did not want any of that. I repeated multiple times that I did not want any of that and somehow he insisted. There was a LOT of peer pressuring in this store! The day of, I got super nervous, because as the person that I am, I am insistent on getting something permanent that I feel matches me as a person. I ultimately ended up thinking really hard on it while in the chair, and was told that I would have to pay a 50 dollar "needle fee". My tattoo artist, who I did not choose mind you, told me that "If I didn't like it, I could laser it off" which is ABSURD. I ended up leaving and paying 47 instead, since it was all I had in my wallet and he was kind enough to let me go with three dollars less, I guess. read more

I got my tattoo from tati. She is an amazing artist although i feel it is a bit overpriced. I paid $350 for my tattoo and was told that adding my birthday wasn't going to cost considering she forgot to add it the first session. I go back to add my birthday and got charged another $100 dollars. I paid a total of $450 plus tips so probably almost $500 for this one tattoo. I feel very ripped off as well as many other people think it was a ridiculous amount to pay. read more

I went in for help with a piercing in my nipple that was closing up due to keeping the jewelry out too long. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a very welcoming front desk staff. After explaining my situation to the piercer she was EXCELLENT. I kept putting this off due to fear of the pain and procrastination however I barely felt it when she fixed it! I felt guided to go today on a whim to trust the process, thankfully I did! I don't remember her name but she was beyond professional, explained the entire process before and during our interaction and answered all the questions I had. Her area was perfectly sterile which was very reassuring. I will absolutely be recommending her and will be back for my future piercings. Took my daughter to get her ears pierced (basic piercing) I was told 85.00 for the piercing and we upgraded the earrings from the basic $20.00 pair to the $38.00 pair. I walked out with a total bill of $219.00! There were charges on the receipt that were not told ahead of time. "10.00 medical charge" "15.00 saline charge (which she stated we received with the piercing, but didn't inform us it was for an additional fee), charged $38.00 for the earrings, but then an additional $18.00 for the backs of the earrings. I would assume when you quote the price for a pair of earrings, that the backs are included, and if they're not that should be made clear upfront. Then of course I tipped the girl because she was very sweet and did a great job. It's a clean place and the worker was so sweet, but the pricing is very misleading! The total cost of earrings should be quoted upfront and if you're charging additional $18 just for earring backs, obviously you state that. I also think a $10.00 "medical fee" is absurd. This should be built into the cost for whatever it is. That just seems like a money grab. I was so shocked at the price for a basic ear piercing. I also tipped 20% not having seen all these added charges because their paper was out so the receipt had to be sent to me. So the piercer actually received a 20% tip on the total cost (taxes and all) I honestly would have only tipped on the actual piercing service had I known. $219.00 for basic ear piercing is outrageous! read more

I've gotten 4/6 of my tattoos at this location I also got a piercing at this location everyone who works there is super friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. Frazier was super friendly and did a phenomenal job on the tattoo, he did a great job keeping everything sterile, making sure the tattoo was done correctly and providing great service. I did a walk in and he got to me super super quick, helped me pick out a font and the tattoo looks great . He gave me a great price and I'm overall really happy with my experience and will definitely be coming back for tattoo from here! read more

Listen. This is the place. I don't know what else to tell you. Just go, and get some tattoos done. I was in Cincinnati on a visit this past weekend and decided to get a tattoo I've wanted for a long time. Kaine worked with me on my idea and ended up coming up with something better than what I'd been able to conceptualize alone. He worked quickly but was very confident with his work and he was right to be! The end result draws on black and grey realism which I was told was Kaine's specialty - but is unique enough to appear abstract upon first glance. I'm so impressed! If you're looking for something more traditional, go to Will - a friend of mine got a gorgeous tattoo from him while we were there too. RUDE! Just lost my business after having gotten 2 tattoos in the past there. Older man with beard : RUDE!

Called to book a time for some tattoo work. Was told to come in so they could see my designs. Showed the them my predrawn designs and was quoted a cost. Said I had to pay a 50 deposit to reserve a time. This would be applied to the cost of my tattoo. I was given a slip of paper with the name of the tattoo artist, the time, and on the back the procedure to cancel or reschedule. I called 3 days prior to cancel because of a surgery.. I was told my refund was non refundable. It does not say this any where on their paperwork or in their shop. I have gone to the owner and was told they would hold it up to 3 mos or I could give it (50) to a friend but no refund. I do not understand in this day and age how businesses expect to survive with this type of customer service. I would not let them touch me at this point. Horrible place read more

Wow! I just got a cartilage piercing... it was done so professionally. Anna, the piercer, was very fun and I loved her! She knew exactly what she was doing and did it very easily. I recommend this to anyone wanting a cartilage, since Claire's in Ohio doesn't do it. Also, if you have a child under 18 they need their birth certificate and an ID. Went there for the first time a few days ago. Kaine was my tattoo artist. He was incredibly professional, but still very cool. And his work was flawless. He takes tremendous pride in his work ... and he is very detailed. And because it took him less time than he thought, he charged me less than his quote. Beelistic's East is the first and only place I've been to get (or even think about getting) a tattoo. When we stepped through the door, it was just a really relaxed but fun atmosphere. Will worked diligently to get my own drawing to work where I wanted it to go, words in my handwriting and all... The tattoo is beautiful! Since then, I've had 2 others done by Will. Kaine has been working on me with my 4th tattoo, parts of it are my artwork, other parts he's been able to tweak so the components fit together. This one is being done in several stages and it's AWESOME!! I'll be in many more times this year to work toward completion. I look forward to my next sitting sometime in May... I almost can't wait!! I'm so pleased with my body art thus far and keep going back... if for nothing else, to check in! It's a great place to go!! Call ahead, make an appointment, stop in.. talk over your ideas with the artists.. and while you're at it, get something pierced by Patrick or Autumn!! They have the absolute best jewelry around. I went to Beelistic's East 9 or so months ago to get a sleeve done by Neil (who may not work there anymore). I met with Neil and we talked about the design and the payment. He had me pay a $50 deposit for him to design and tattoo my sleeve, claiming he would contact me within a week to make the first tattooing appointment. He never contacted me, so I tried contacting him but he never answered or responded. I never got the tattoo and I was never refunded for the $50 deposit. I'm not sure if this is reflective of Beelistic's East as a whole or just that tattoo artist, but I would definitely not risk going here and losing money again. read more

Awesome shops. I visited the shop on short vine and the one in Mt Washington. Both shops are clean, professional and I felt very comfortable the whole time I was at both of them. I've already had 2 session done and am planning to go back for my third and final one soon. Will Webb is my artist and I would recommend him to everyone whether it's your first tattoo or 100th tattoo. I came in with a pretty vague idea of what I wanted and over the 2 sessions Will really helped me develop an image that was perfect for me. My tattoos are stunning and I know I will be coming back for more once this one is done. This is the place to go!! read more
