FYI: No laundry detergent here! Or any supplies of that sort. Just food and drinks. Which was a…read morebummer to me because I was hoping to not make multiple stops to get things I needed to take back to my cabin. But I think I was expecting too much from a gas station. Because other than not having the specific things I came in for, this BFS itself is nice! There's a huge walk-in beer cooler, a wine section and a selection of liquor. There are also two little restaurants inside -- Little Caesars and Subway. Which is convenient for people who enjoy those restaurants. BFS is a local gas station slash convenience store, with locations all around West Virginia. I had to look up what BFS stands for, because I kept hoping it would be an initialism for Best Friend Store, because that would be cute. It's just Bruceton Farm Service. That makes more sense but is also not at all cute.

BFS is a fucking rip. I've had multiple locations now with a sign up saying their Starbucks…read moreFrappuccino drinks are 2 for $5.50 but the sale doesn't ring up at the checkout. False advertising in the worst way because when you point it out to the clerk they just look at you like you're speaking Greek. Y'all need better training! And the managers are no help, and it turns out the manager's manager is also no help. No one employed with this company can figure out how to price match their own shelf prices. It's ridiculous...

Well, if you're here reading this you likely also made the mistake of not stopping earlier. Can…read moreconfirm Wildcat is the only food market within an hour + radius. We brought some food up from home, but stopped here to get a few things to get us through the weekend. Wildcat is definitely more of a convience store than a grocery market. The options were limited, but there's definitely enough to get you by! (Granted if you're a vegetarian that's a different story). Pricing is definitely expensive, but what really got me was that there's no prices on the items in the store!! Nor can you see the cost per item when they're ringing you up. Had I not read these reviews I def would've had more sticker shock when it came time to check out. The last review outlining what the store had in stock is a bit dated so I'll update yall who are reading this in 2024 - this is a list of what I remember seeing - Fridge items: Meats (chicken, ground beef, steak, etc), milk, creamer, eggs, sliced turkey/ham, sliced cheese, yogurt, soda, juice, & beer (have beer den) Frozen items: frozen pizzas, pizza bites, pot pies, meatballs, broccoli, green beans, other frozen/steam veggies, chicken/veggie pasta options Shelf items: lots of chips/snacks, bread (white and honey wheat), pasta sauce, pasta, soups, ramen, on/jelly/nutella, etc

If you're staying at the mountain for a week and plan on cooking most of your meals, I would highly…read morerecommend you shop at an actual grocery store before getting to Snowshoe (at least 1.5 hours away), and not expect to do a lot of it here at Wildcat Provisions. It is closer to being a convenience store than it is to being a grocery store. What I wished somebody else would've done in other reviews before I came here was to list some of the items to be found here, so that's what I'm doing now-- There is hardly any fresh produce. What was there was: oranges, bananas, blueberries, apples, avocado (presliced and sealed), peppers, tomatoes, baby carrots, lemons/lime. There are eggs, but they are $4 a dozen. There's butter, cheese (no fancy cheese to go with wine, though), milk, yogurt, some meat (pork chops, chicken breasts, NY strip steak, bacon, bologna). There's a variety of ice cream. For pantry items: an assortment of chips and snacks, oatmeal, canned beans and other canned items. I was not impressed with the bread selection (lots of white and some honey wheat). There's bagels, but its $7.50 for a bag. There's stuff for baking- sugar, flour, etc. There's wine and beer, like others have mentioned. I was hoping for some fresh local goods, like pies or breads, but there's none of that to be found here. There are also some basic items you find in convenience stores- toiletries, plastic plates and utensils, toilet paper, paper towels, foil, plastic wrap, ziploc bags.
