Strong beer menu. Evening started out well with the pretzel but fell apart from there. 3 parties there so a total of 14 people and it showed the lack of preparation. Food came out sporadically, burnt bacon on both BLTs ordered, dry Mac and cheese with brisket. 4th person of our group order fries...just plain fries. The three others in the party finished eating before the waitress said that it was 5 more mins on the fries. Ok, no problem, we were having a nice chat. That turned into 35 mins for fries. Finally asked for them to go a d the checks. Got the box of fries and our checks. Sat for another 15 mins and finally asked the bartender of he could cash us out. Just a comedy of slowness and lack of care. Very disappointed as it is a slower placed place but this was ridiculous and aggravating. read more

Eight of us met here tonight and it was disappointing. Had reserved table for 8 farthest from live music with guarantee that it would not be too loud to talk. We come here about once a month. Always here for their happy hour special-half price specialty pizza and half price local drafts. They have a great patio, service is good, great variety of beers, more than 50 taps. Bartenders and servers are great, will give you a taste of a beer you might try. read more

Finally had the chance to check out this new Beerhead location in Avon. I've been to the original, in the Flats, and it was a subpar experience to say the least. I'm glad to note that this location offered a fairly good experience! The Beer: The beer selection is phenomenal. Great draft list with offerings from many brews all over the country. The bottled beer list is quite extensive and easy to get lost in. The menu is organized well but it can take a while to decide. The Food: Overall, I'd say the food was average. The New Orleans Chicken Wings were very good! Went with the garlic sriracha dry rub and it came out great! I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap for an entree and it was mostly stuffed with lettuce and very little chicken. Also, there was very little buffalo sauce as well. Another person in our group ordered the buffalo chicken pizza and it was excellent! I'd recommend sticking with the pizza menu. Entree times were great (15 mins or so). The Service: Excellent service! My group was greeted as soon as we entered and were seated. We came in around 6pm on a Saturday and the place was pretty busy. The server took about 10 minutes to take our order but she acknowledged us right away and said she would be right with us. Great service even though she was clearly managing 6-8 tables. Overall, I'd recommend this location strictly for "pizza and beer". The food was underwhelming when compared to other breweries in the area. read more

Been here twice, their food seems overly priced, they had a Mac n cheese special when we went which was delicious. I wish they had more of a various menu, im sure people just go for the food but menu seems sub - par to many other breweries I've been to. read more

The positive points of the visit: The humongous pretzel & beer Now for the negative: Newly added item tator tots, 2 orders ($4 up charge each) completely undercooked, no crisp at all. When manager came out she agreed they were pretty "pale" looking Husbands Kickin Chicken was dry & extremely flavorless. Any extra cheese $1, mustard dipping sauce 0.75 for the pretzel The pretzel is huge & very good but size of the soufflé cups are very small & not nearly enough for the size pretzel ($14) so more is definitely needed Popeye Pizza was average, not much flavor & bc they were having computer issues it was left off the order so wasn't brought to the table until everyone was finished. The server said the pizza & kickin chicken & orders of tator would be comped which it was Pizza was %50 Chicken sandwich taken off as promised The atmosphere is great, unfortunately it doesn't make up for the food. read more

Went for the 'last drink' thinking all beer and surprisingly hit two hand crafted bourbon beverages and deserts, total surprise and unplanned. The old fashioned although a simple concept often messes up into a perfect mix of bourbon forward slight sweet offsetting and who can't love a waffle crisp with tremendous flavor. My family made our first visit there last month. Food was good, service was good at the beginning, then significantly regressed as time went on. During the second half of our stay, the server was no where to be found, and when we did see her, she was talking to other employees at the food window. While waiting for the check, my family actually went to the car due to the delay while I waited inside. After a lengthy wait, I finally received the bill. I did not tip (which is not typical) and left. I just received my credit card bill today and they took the liberty of adding an unapproved $10.00 tip for themselves. To me this is theft. I am disputing with my credit card company. Definitely not going back. read more

Just ok. First time here not the beer experience. One not friendly girl sat us. Then we waited while another table was sat brought waters. A guy came over who was pretty friendly, asked if anyone had been over. We said no so he said he'd take us. We asked a few questions, to which he was very confused about. I omitted an item and subbed an item, but when my meal came out it was missing 3 items. So they remade the sale while I smacked on the first, which was nice. A different gentleman brought out the second salad, who was friendly also. However, this salad was now missing an item, the oranges. The portions are very small, for a $12 salad and really lacking flavor in the chicken. Maybe cuz it's gluten free?? Either way like I said, it was ok. read more

Food is awful but beer selection helps to not make me as irate as I should be. Ordered Nashville hot chicken sliders. They weren't hot! Kitchen forgot to put the sauce on it. Served with a huge dollop of pimento cheese that was horrible. How can you screw up pimento cheese? Grocery store has better quality! Bun was ice cold like it came out of fridge or freezer. We checked out the place a couple times. I really really really like their interior design. I also think they have incredible patio in the spring and summer months. Two visits. Both terrible. If you like beer, go drink. But the food is awful. Five people at the table and all five shocked at how crappy it was. No flavor. A brisket with 3" of fat? Server says - Oh yea, we are known for our fatty brisket. Very expensive food that is 'fatty', or no flavor, or cold and messy put together. Pretty solid place. I want there with my dog and sat on the patio. Had a couple flights of beer and a chicken salad sandwich. Tons and tons of beer to choose from and great service. The menu selection was just ok for me nothing mind blowing but this place is certainly all about the beer. I'd recommend checking it out for sure. read more

Establishment Needs Growler Pricing. Went here with Growler-in-Hand to save a trip down to West 25th Street from Westlake. No Pricing for Growler fills are listed... instead, after tasting a few brews based on the Beer listings on a clipboard, selected an Austrian Pils. The Growler was placed under the tap, and loads of suds came out... when asked how many Ounces my Market Garden Brewery Growler Contained, a calculation commenced with the result being an algebraic expression of the following from the bartender: We figure that Growler holds Five Glasses of beer ($6.00 per for this selection), then we multiply that price-per-glass times the number of assumed glasses to fill the Growler... then, we deduct 35%... So, the $6.00/glass is reduced by $2.10/glass for a total of $19.50 before tax. Fine and dandy... pay the bill, leave a gratuity and head home. Few hours later, decide to have a glass from the Growler... when I put the brown glass up to the window, the growler is 2/3rds full. The Suds that were exiting the Growler during the Fill at Beerheads has settled. We called the establishment to report our findings... stay tuned to see how they deal with this situation. Spoke with Kristen, bartender was Alyssa who had already closed out her day and left. We suggested they incorporate a plastic tube to fill without the suds as is done at Market District (former Giant Eagle) in Westlake. Update: For our troubles, a complimentary fill of the Same Beer (No. 26) in the Same Growler, sans the suds! read more

They have a great selection of beer. I tried the meatballs that were very tasty. The bartender was very nice and had a great conversation when I took a quick visit to check the place out. I have had the pizza and the pretzel at the downtown Cleveland location which were good but have not tried them at this location yet. I will definitely come back to try some other foods but a good experience during my short initial visit. read more

ALWAYS have a good experience here. LUV LUV LUV the Bannana Beer, especially on draft. They allowed us to create our own pizza (sweet BBQ, hawaiin pineapple and chicken) and the bar server is always upbeat and attentative, even though they are often hopping busy. Great beer selection! Came on a Saturday night and it was super busy. Got seated next to the band so it didn't make for the best date night conversation. Luckily the band was decent so it wasn't the worst thing. The food is clearly an afterthought here. Gluten free nuggets were boring and the pizza was super doughy and lacked the right flavors. Love the location downtown, which we have frequented for years. Service at Avon location is not very good, which is a shame since we like concept and original location. Walked out on Monday after being seated and waiting 10 mins without anyone approaching our table. It wasn't busy, only 6 tables in the entire place were occupied. 3 employees standing around 2 talking to each other and 3rd checking her cell phone. Took our business elsewhere! read more

Beer was good but service was slow due to lack of workers and workers more involved in standing by bar rather than serving customers. Watch out for "bait and switch" where they say they no cans for chosen beer but can give you a draft of that same beer and it is 25% more in price for 2 ounces more! More training on customer service and attention to communication is required, was not made aware of the possibilities of ordering flights of drafts. read more

Went today for first time and hopefully things will get better. The acoustics are terrible so you can't hear each other let alone the waiter . Service very very slow but Pizza was very good . The beer selection is amazing. I always enjoy a place where I can sample a flight of beers. The restaurant itself is very noisy. The food selection seems like kind of an afterthought. Nothing really outstanding other than the blue cheese potato salad. I always wonder about a restaurant that can't cook a hamburger. The hostess was extremely helpful and attentive. Just left Beerhead. I was at the bar with a friend. No hello or how you doing when we sat down. Took about 10 min to even be helped. Finally got a beer after we said something. Got a beer, and decided to put in an appetizer knowing it would take forever to put a food order in. Got our food, had to ask for napkins/silverware and plates after we ate half of our apps with our hands and used my sweatshirt as a napkin. This terrible service continued on when our beers were all gone, had to wave down to get our check cuz at that point it wasn't worth it for us to stick around. By the time we got our check after we had to ask for it and no one asked if we needed a refill or any other meals especially since we were looking to eat dinner here. Decided better to leave now cuz it wasn't getting any better. We sat at the bar too which should have been faster service. Would never recommend this place. read more
