Shaded far back right corner of the rec center, I didn't even know this was back there. Don't forget your mosquito repellent! Park towards the back right corner, walk park the ball fields, over a babbling brook and you will find two fenced in areas. The bigger one for big dogs and a smaller grassier one for small dogs. Glad this is here for people without a yard to let their dogs run.

    Rocky enjoying the park!

After a failed attempt to find the dog park at West Ashley Park, we tried to find this one and were successful. This park is great! They have an area for small dogs, all other dogs, and wet dogs (if your dog loves to jump in the water). The small dog area is just grass, but the other dog area has mulch and sticks on the ground with many trees. A great outdoor escape for our pup! When we went in the morning, there were no other dogs there, but in the afternoon our pup had 5 others to play with. Our pup still wore himself out both times. This will be our go to place for our pup when we are in town to get some energy out! To find it: Go to the Bees Ferry Landing Center and park on the back right side of the center (near the dumpsters). It is to the right and back.

A little muddy after the rain

Pretty nice dog park for small & large dog's but unfortunately, I came here after the rain and it was muddy & buggy! No other dogs, but probably because it just rained. On a sunny day, should be good!

Large open space for our pup to run around in. The only reason this isn't five stars is because every time we go either the poop bags are completely out or some part of the gate is broken making it a struggle to get in and out if it's busy. Nonetheless, my dog doesn't know the difference since all she cares about is running free and sniffing butts. There's always a ball or two left behind as well which makes for a fun 30 seconds of me throwing the ball really far so she can run and fetch it and then she just ends up staring at me like "you didn't really think I was going to get that, did you?" So yea, if you're looking for a place to meet other pups and get some energy out of your dog, it's perfect...just bring your own poop bags :)

Its nice but there's not much more lame than an empty dog park. It's free, WA where are my dog lovers? Maybe I came at the wrong hours

This is a nice, big dog park. But where are the dogs? It's really depressing to see it empty!! I went on a week day afternoon so maybe that's why it was empty. But my puppy loves to play with other puppies. Here she explored a little then just layered under a tree. Unless I hear of this park being used more, I'll just have to drive all the way to James Island I guess!

This dog park is great, but yes, as others have mentioned, it is very hidden. When you pull into the Rec Center, go all the way to the back right, near the baseball field. We almost didn't get out of the car, but I saw a very small sign that said 'Dog Run'. Go to the right (as if you are going to walk behind the field), it will seem like you are walking into the woods, but then you'll see a path that leads to the park. There are 3 fenced in areas, one HUGE area with lots of shade, benches, a pump hose and a water fountain; a smaller fenced in area that is for small dogs, and another big fenced in area at the very back that has a kind of a swampy ravine and a muddy 'swimming hole'. The 'puddle' is pretty big but not deep, my lab was able to swim right in the middle (though I think he could touch with his feet). The dogs absolutely loved it. After they got thoroughly muddy, we walked them back to the fenced in area, hosed them off and let them run some more to dry off. **Update - a friend told me to make sure you check your pups for ticks as she has found them on her pups after playing here. We have been lucky so far.**

Little hard to find but worth the search! My pup and I love this park! It's like a mini Forrest he can play in, Love the cute little trail too.

When you turn in toward the rec center, go straight and stay to the right, as if you're aiming straight for the dumpsters.
