Not only were they rude and not understanding, but they threatened to remove me as a client if I had to reschedule my appt. after having done so a couple times, even though up until I left, I hadn't had ONE no call-no show. I always called ahead of time and re-scheduled. I was working as a nanny at the time, and I'm sure many mothers understand that things come up, and appointments have to be rescheduled, but this office was not understanding about it at all. The final straw for me was when I missed an appointment (which I completely forgot about under the circumstances) because my grandma had a STROKE. She was 3 hours away from me in the hospital under observation and so of course, I decided to drive to her and make sure she was going to be okay. During my drive, I received a call from the receptionist at GLBH saying I had missed my appointment and through TEARS, I explained why I had forgotten and why I missed the appointment. The receptionist showed NO sympathy whatsoever and decided to go ahead and change me the $50 no-call no-show fee, despite the devastating circumstances. I was completely distraught that I was being charged when the situation was completely out of my control. I asked if it could be waved because I had never had a no-call no-show, but they refused. I decided to leave their practice and find a more understanding and courteous environment to meet my health needs. I refused to pay the $50 fee and now they have increased it because I have not paid it. My credit is terrible, I plan on letting it go to collections because it is complete crap that I would have to pay it to begin with considering what I was going through at the time. I highly suggest finding another office for your mental health needs. I now go to Forest View and they have been much more understanding; do not complain about missed/rescheduled appointments and have always understood when something detrimental comes up.

I was curious about the services she offered and how they might enhance my generally-going-great life. I admit that some of the techniques and methodologies she described to me felt a little "out there," but I decided to set aside my skepticism to see where the journey led me. Did I understand when she explained frequencies or energy work? No, but she has the right combination of professionalism and warm personality to make me trust her. During the energy work, my eyes were covered as music played in the background. Although I don't know exactly or completely understand what Kara was doing, I know it affected me. Once I felt a weight on my chest. Another time my hands buzzed and ached. Sometimes my feet tingled. It's difficult to describe exactly what was happening, but afterwards I always felt both relaxed and refreshed. We spent a couple of sessions prepping me--emotionally and physically--for an immersive experience that was spiritual for me. Even more important, we spent several sessions after that integrating and examining the experience. I was surprised what I learned about myself during the entire process, and what I learned that I needed to do to continue to improve my "generally-going-great" life. Kara is insightful, thoughtful, patient, and kind. She guided this 69-year-old to try something new and enriching, and for that, I'm extremely grateful.

Her depth of knowledge on many different medical related areas is astounding. Equally important to me is the fact that she has a great way of dealing with her patients. What she does is she listens to what I have to say and almost every time she patiently explains that while she can see why I think what I think, but in her years of training what the symptoms actually indicate is something different than what seemed obvious to me. In the end every single time she has been dead on in her diagnosis of my ailment. I also got a consultation from Dr Auburn and she knew what was happening and how to improve certain things including figuring out the underlying causes of certain body conditions for me.
