I know that some people might think this is all just woo-woo nonsense, which is totally fine, but I wanted to experience something new and was open to it. The atmosphere that Christine provided was very relaxing and comfortable. I laid on a comfy bed and closed my eyes as Christine walked me through the process. I did some visualization and just listened to Christine's soothing voice as we talked about what I was experiencing. I was a bit apprehensive about being "hypnotized," but it wasn't really like what I was expecting. I didn't ever feel scared or uncomfortable, I was totally relaxed and still had awareness of everything around me. It was sort of like lucid dreaming. I definitely cried during the session and did feel a lot of emotions, but Christine was amazing at holding the space and guiding me through the journey. We spent significant resources interviewing therapists to find a perfect fit for her. We thought we had when we narrowed down to her provider with Great Lakes. Despite miscommunications, overcharges, and conflicts in her personal life - we were flexible and understanding. We understand that everyone has their own issues and try to be as empathetic as we can be. I get that everyone starts out immature and needs room to grow. I certainly did when I began my career. A line was crossed when we were charged for missing two appointments that she chose to cancel. She cited reasons like finding out bad news in her personal life to justify wanting mandate in-person visits last minute instead of televisits, deeming it a "missed" appointment when we wouldn't comply. When I confronted the issue, more excuses were made. She then decided she would fix the issue, but she will be closing my daughter's file. Between all of that and recommending I take her to the emergency room but refusing to provide the psychiatrist any notes because of "company policy," it's probably for the best. Unfortunately, that will not prevent my kid from feeling abandoned and devastated. She was treated like just another paycheck by that therapist. The joke is on her though. She's an intelligent, vibrant, creative, AMAZING little girl. Anyone who has the honor of being part of her life should count themselves lucky.

Carmel greeted me right at the door and was so friendly and accommodating! If you park in the lot, she will validate your parking ticket for you. Doctor Monica spent over an hour with me for a consultation and adjustment. We spoke in depth about my pain and concerns, and then she explained what she believed we needed to work on. She said she really focuses on muscle therapy, in addition to adjustment, which has already made a world of difference after one visit. I've been dealing with a shoulder injury for 8 years, and it has recently worsened. After one session with her, I am feeling much better. I then had a massage with Alicia, and it complimented my adjustment perfectly! I've never had a professional massage focus time on my head and feet, and it felt so nice! Important to point out, the practice is currently only accepting BCBS insurance. I'm fortunate to have that so I only have a co-pay for the adjustment and massage, but if you don't have BCBS, the massage would be $80, and I'm not sure the cost of the adjustment. Also worth noting is that the office space is so nice! It's clean, modern, inviting, and has spa vibe to it, as opposed to a medical office. Finally, it's located in Gaslight Village, so after my appointment, I ventured to Starbucks for a coffee and to read my book. Great day!
