This tour was great for our group of 4, and I would recommend for groups of all sizes. Communication was great during the planning stages, pickup from hotel was timely, Dena our guide was friendly and professional, and we thoroughly enjoyed the 2 wineries we experienced. The price was affordable, the amenities were great, we got picked up from our Airbnb, food was delicious, and the wine tours were so fun and beautiful! Dena was our wine tour guide and she was super friendly, educational! Our group just had a blast. There are a lot of wine tours that just offer tasting rooms, but we wanted to also see 3 vineyards and take cute pictures and my expectations were met! Dena would also take us to different pit stop areas, teaching us about how grape were grown and produced. She also took us to a vineyard to where we were able to sample the grapes right from the vine!!! This was an experience I never thought I would get. She is also a grower and a local, so we got a lot of food recommendations. Wine was delicious, views were fantastic! Would highly recommend to everyone! read more

We never felt rushed from winery to winery. Personally I loved the experience at "Pessagno Winery" They had live music & our lunch that was provided from Luigi' s was delicious, their handmade Pizzas baked in a outdoor wood burning oven made the pizza so tasty, the side salad was perfectly dressed. Dena was absolutely amazing in helping me celebrate a milestone birthday with my husband and friends while staying at Carmel Valley Ranch. I have planned and participated in many wine tastings in Northern CA over the years and I really wanted to just enjoy and not worry about planning, scheduling, timing, reservations, etc. We entrusted Dena with EVERY detail including winery locations, tasting appointments, timing, lunch (an amazing bbq hosted by her husband!) and she was the perfect knowledgeable guide. Had some out-of-state relatives in town and wanted to go on a nice wine tour without all the hassle of driving up to Napa (from Hollister) and trying to figure out which wineries to visit. Found Behind the Scenes Wine Tour and reached out to Dena. Communication with Dena was easy and she answered all my questions. We went with the Deluxe Tour and it was perfect! We visited Odonata, Puma Road and Pessagno. The wineries we visited were beautiful and the people there were so nice and welcoming - not to mention all the delicious wines we ended coming back home with. We were able to talk to one of the wine makers while we were at Puma Road and another person while at Odonata. It was very educational. Dena also prepared a very delicious picnic lunch for us. Dena is the Bomb! When we walk into the tasting room with Dena, who knows everyone or is actually cousins of the growers and owners we felt we truly had preferential treatment and had so much FUN! Dena has access to all the back rooms, processing sheds, vineyards and personally lives the life, actually growing 40 acres of grapes with her husband. Top that off with someone who loves to have fun, can read people and give them that personal 'couples' time. Dena really opened our eyes to the wine country just a few miles from Monterey! From the first contact, she was great with providing all the details and scheduling our visits.
