I can't recommend Dr. Michael Behymer enough. I originally started seeing him because I deal with chronic pain. Living with constant discomfort can be exhausting and frustrating, especially knowing that my condition may never allow for complete relief. While I still experience aches and pains, my mobility is better, my tension is more manageable, and I leave appointments feeling less restricted and more comfortable than when I walked in. His use of Active Release Techniques (ART), along with chiropractic care, has been especially helpful for my muscle tension, tightness, and mobility issues. Dr. Behymer is knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and easygoing, which makes appointments feel relaxed and comfortable. I was nervous to see a new chiropractor... he made it easy to feel comfortable and explained everything to me.... Dr. Behymer was very busy on the day I came in. I had an appointment, so I don't know if he was overbooked or if perhaps people just drop in without appointments . . . it was just Dr. Behymer and his receptionist; he even did my x-rays himself. He was in a rush by the time he did my adjustments and I have never had anyone do the adjustments so fast. Maybe someone else would appreciate that, but I was already in pain, and would have appreciated a somewhat more gentle touch. Dr. Jerry Behymer, D.C. has been in business for about 30 years. He's the only doctor that I fully trust. He runs a successful practice with his wife Jerilee Behymer, D.C. and he shares his practice with the talented Geraldine Mulhall, D.C. of San Francisco. When you join his practice, expect to take on a great friend. You'll see when you walk into his office. All his patients seem to approach his office as if it's a 2nd home...as if he's a family member. I once came in and 3 generations of one family coincidentally paid him a visit at the same time....all have been patients since he was an intern working for the original Dr. who opened this pratice. To me, that says a lot. He even takes care of a family with 8 children and he's capable of taking care of infants. He's just awesome. His wife is great at holding down the fort as well. He'll tend to any medical problems you may have naturally, which is the best part. He's not overbearing and overly aggresive with his approach on gaining new patients (like a lot of chiropractors that join marketing seminars and shove their marketing strategies down your throat). I was referred to Behymer Chiropractic when my neck had gone so out that I was in gross pain, and couldn't work or even move. Jerry Behymer, his secretary Nacine, are completely trustworthy, friendly, and sincere. Dr. B as we all like to call him, was the only chiropractic doctor who gave me Xrays and actually showed me what had happened to my spine after several injuries over the years. For a year I went to him regularly and I have to say that I am so grateful I was referred to Behymer Chiropractic when I was. He is so service oriented and compassionate that not only did he help my back, but when I twisted my ankle, he fixed that too, and wrapped it for me each time I visited. I was healed in half the time because of him. Not only that, but in an emergency you can actually call him at home if he is not in the office, and have a treatment at his home. His lovely wife is also sharing his office now on the days he is not there, and it seems to have worked out really well. I love Dr. B and Nacine. I received the worst service imaginable. Not only was "Dr." Behymer rude, condescending and inappropriate, but he rushed and I did not feel any better. The treatment was expensive and I do not believe after getting treatment that chiropractors are real doctors. I was referred by a neighbor, but I am going back to physical therapy and to REAL doctors, who go to REAL medical school. what a quack. DO not waste your money. read more

I was having issues with my hands and arms going numb while doing the simplest activities-writing,talking on the phone, and even driving. My hands started to become weak to the point I could barely do my job. Holding groceries was painful and even petting my dog would hurt. I found Michael through a friend and decided I would try him out. It took a few weeks to get the strength back in my hands, but it came back!! The numbness started to fade and my neck wasn't as sore. I found Dr. Michael Behymer through a friend and I'm so glad I did! I went in with pretty bad pain and he took xrays and found some issues, which my doctor wasn't willing to investigate any further. He also worked with me on several other unrelated issues as well. Each visit I continued to get better and I feel much better overall now and I'm able to handle more intense workouts at the gym. There was never any lasting soreness after the visit (a common complaint I've heard from chiropractic adjustments). He would always ask how everything feels after the adjustments and offer to do more work if needed. He offers a pretty flexible schedule, which is very nice for those of us with inflexible working hours!! I really feel like he cares about his patients, unlike many healthcare professionals these days. Come here and you will be treated like a real person, even a friend, and not a dollar sign. Dr. Michael is super friendly, and so is everyone else at the office, and I've enjoyed seeing him. The worst part about his practice is parking at the location, I usually plan a couple extra minutes for parking. It's a bit confusing since there's tandem spots you can get blocked in if you pull forward, so it's never fully utilized. But I've always been able to find something down the street a little. I've been a patient of Dr. Geraldine Mulhall for five years now and she is the best around. I've experienced different chiropractors throughout the bay area, but Dr. Mulhall demonstrates the up most professionalism, knowledge, and a genuine love to help everyone around. Plus she "loves helping teachers". I am a physical education teacher, wrestling coach, and personal fitness trainer, so my neck and back go through a beating for more often then would like. Injuries such as a sprain neck, out of place lower lumbar, flair up in the thoracic region of the back, swelling of the traps, and most of all bone spurs that are forming in my neck have all been treated and cured by Dr. Mulhall. She is pretty much the "Life Changer". Before seeing her I could never move or turn my neck from side to side without pain. I always had chronic lower back spasms and asthma. I am feeling a whole lot better now and my asthma is under control. I can proudly say she's changed my life for the better and I now know what normal people feel like without pain. I don't know what I would do without Dr. Michael. I am a full-time fashion design student who commutes 2 hours each way to campus, and I also have two jobs. I spend a lot of time in a chair or hunched over a table measuring, cutting, etc. Even with my crazy schedule Dr. Michael always makes times to see me a couple times a week. The adjustments help immensely and he is able to do work on my muscles as well. Last week I had a throbbing pain from my ring finger down to my elbow and he was able to take care of it for me! He can fix anything from my jaw, my mid back, my hands, my neck, and once I went a little to hard on legs day at the gym and the very next day I was in his office and he was stretching out the muscles for me. If you are looking for a true healer look no further! He will take the time to work on each trouble area until you feel relief.
