Do not let the "language barrier" deter you. I didn't tell the lady a thing and she worked on every single trouble area of my back today. I like deep pressure and it's definitely what I received, he did check in with me a couple times to ensure it was to my liking. It's not fancy, but very clean. Well when I pulled up to this place I didn't have high hopes. You have to climb up a flight of stairs to get there. The place is very tiny and crowded we had two beds in the same room that had maybe 8 inches between them n about the same distance from the wall and the curtain so it looked pretty crowded. They get their water out of the sink in the bathroom so you have to walk out and clean your hands with hand sanitizer is this is where they fill up the tubs for your feet. I am so glad I found this place on Yelp. My back had been aching all week so I finally decided to check this place out. When I arrived, I was greeted by a nice lady. She didn't speak much English but she pointed to the options on the menu and I selected the 1 hour full body massage for $50. She directed me to a back room. Like others on here have stated, I was not sure whether this was a dressed or undressed massage. Unlike other reviewers on here, I was told to take it all off... And so I did. Perhaps that is because I asked for a full body massage and other may have asked for the shoulder/foot massage. Either way, don't be shy. You're going to be well taken care of by these workers. My masseuse, Amy, did an amazing job. She even climbed on the massage table and used her elbows to push in on some tender points of my body. I was in heaven. This is exactly what I was looking for. There wasn't any conversation during the session and she didn't get interrupted. I was her focus for the hour. When they say full body massage, they mean it. She flipped me over and massaged my thighs, shoulders, feet, and just about everywhere. I felt so much better when she was finished. I highly recommend this place and I will be back. Amy, although she speaks little English was very professional. I got to speak a little bit with her afterwards and she was so kind. Don't forget to leave a tip if they do a good job. She didn't pester me for one which I appreciated but that may be because I gave her a tip as soon as it was time to pay at the end. I came here on Saturday at around 2 PM without an appointment and waited about 10 minutes for a massage. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly. My massage was very relaxing, and I will definitely be going back. Do not come here if you expect 5-star spa treatment. While there are "rooms", it is separated by fabric, not walls. It's essentially a "hole-in-the-wall" spa. So if all you want is a well-priced and thorough massage ($50+$10 tip for 70 minute reflexology/back/accupressure massage), this is the perfect place. The only part I didn't like about my massage was an awful lot of scalp rubbing. Of the 70 minutes, I would say only 55 minutes was actually massaging. I understand the prep counts towards the 70 minutes, but I wish it had been at least 60-65 minutes of full massaging. Overall, great customer service (limited English, but it wasn't an issue at all) and I'll probably go back really soon! read more

Made a same day appt., which was great they could take me. It was all down hill from there. So much noise, talking, walls being bumped, no doors, only curtains (which were open 1/2 the time) ...plus....so hot. Was cooled by portable floor A/C units...super noisy...was right next to the table. I wouldn't call it a massage...he only used oil on my back. The rest of the time he just squeezed me over a sheet...no oil, no long strokes...it was painful to say the least...I felt like a piece of clay he was molding into a log. When the painful, nightmare was over...I gave him my credit card and he charged me $120 for a 2 hour massage. I paid him....then he asked me for a tip..not just a tip....he said he wanted a big tip. I recently came here by accident after intending to make an appointment at my usual haunt, U City Foot Spa. I made an appointment here and realized my error as I left the house, but I decided to go for it and try something new. The place looks very unassuming from the outside; in fact, the row of old buildings it's in look humorously out of place against the Clayton skyline which I found almost charming. Upon walking in, I was told that I could only pay with cash and I had to pay beforehand. Neither of these things were mentioned over the phone, and there is a "Mastercard, Discover, Visa, Amex" graphic outside the front door, so I was a little confused. The woman helping me seemed very impatient, and when I told her I didn't have cash, she grunted and gestured for me to come. We got halfway down the main hallway when she stopped, entered through a curtain to a client she had apparently stopped massaging to help me, and gestured vaguely towards the end of the hall. I got to the end, stopped, and pointed at one of the curtained rooms, and she continued incomprehensibly waving her arm in my direction. I decided that must have been where she wanted me to go, so I entered. I realized I wanted to use the bathroom before my massage, so I went back into the dark hallway to find it. There was no bathroom sign, so I quietly said, "Excuse me...." The same woman pushed back her curtain and began waving her arm in no particular direction again. I then pointed where I thought she wanted me to go and said, "Here?" She grunted again, came out of the curtained room and physically pushed me into a small hallway off the main one. I laughed to myself in disbelief before using the bathroom. I considered leaving, but I am weird about not wanting to come off as impolite, so I stayed. I went back to my room and laid down on the table, and I probably waited another ten minutes before someone came in. She seemed friendly, but she could not communicate very well. There were multiple times she asked me to do something that I couldn't understand, and she seemed frustrated. As far as the massage itself, it was completely lacking in purpose. You can tell when you get a massage from someone who knows what they're doing because they work their way around your body very methodically. The person who massaged me here just continually rubbed my back in the same way for the better part of an hour, and it stopped feeling good after a while. After the first thirty minutes, I really just wanted it to be over. There was also no foot massage involved whatsoever, making me wonder why it is called Beijing Foot Spa. With tip, my 1-hour massage ended up being over $70--nearing fancy, boutique massage parlor territory--and I left very disappointed. If you want a great, affordable massage that will leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, go to U City Foot Massage just up the road. They have one, big, communal room which is awkward at first, but the quality of the experience completely outweighs its single con. read more

Because they say 1 hour $50 but literally I only got 40/45 min massage and it was more like a back rub than a massage , and old lady just came in and rubbed my back for 45 min and at the end I just wanted to pay $5 tip her and the owner or the manager were trying to push me to give her $10 tip but anyway at the end they charged me $56. Had been looking for a Chinese reflexology spa since moving to St. Louis from Dallas, where these are more common, and Beijing is now my go-to place for therapeutic massage. The name is somewhat misleading, as the one hour treatment includes not only foot massage, but a full body massage while clothed. If you are looking for a fancy spa in a luxurious setting, this is not it. It is a very clean, tranquil space with basic, but comfy, massage tables separated by drapes, as you don't disrobe, other than removing shoes. The gentleman who did my treatment provided a very strong massage that did wonders to relieve arthritis and muscle pain in my hands, shoulders, neck, etc. The staff speaks minimal but functional English, and all are gracious and professional. As the prices are so low, I don't think they accept credit cards, so you may want to have cash on hand. You can call for appt., but they accept walk-ins. One hour massage is $40.00, with additional options for longer treatments. They even gave me a coupon for $10 off my next massage. Can't wait to go back! read more

This was to this date the best massage I've ever had. My BFF treated me to what we thought was just a foot massage and it was a full body from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet and all in between for 1 hr. I left feeling like a complete wet noodle. The only issue was the staff spoke limited English so I could not get a clear understanding at times what was being asked or if they could understand what I was asking. Parking was 1/2 block down on a bank lot. Not sure if we were suppose to park there but when I called that's where I was instructed to park. Now I don't have experience with any Chinese massage parlor-type places, so I can't compare, but this place looked very stereotypical from what I've seen in the movies. The staff hardly speaks a bit of english, and the older woman who takes you back and set you up seemed a bit quirky, and unprofessional---not that I minded. She was trying to tell me what to do, and started helping me undress---like taking my pants off, all I wanted was a foot massage haha. Anyways, another one comes in and she lays me down, then basically climbs all over me. The massage was, just okay. I've been here a few times. The massages are pretty good for a reasonable price but there are a few things you compromise on. The biggest issue is the language barrier. Not a single person there is able to communicate beyond an elementary level of english. I did not think this would be an issue until I finished getting a massage and they charged me for 90 minutes instead of an hour. I couldn't understand a thing she was saying during the massage. At one point I thought she was asking if the pressure was good but she was asking if I wanted to extend my time. I don't think that this was an attempt to scam me into getting a longer massage but it still is annoying. Other small things are annoying. The head holes aren't padded and aren't very comfortable. The quality of the massages varies a bit. The masseuses are a bit aggressive about tips. Not sure if I'll go back after the communication thing though. read more

I have always liked this place because I can usually get in immediately and I always get a decent massage. I do think it is too expensive for what it is, however. One thing I just wanted to warn everyone about, for which I do not believe I will be back unless I am desperate for a massage, the last time I went to get a massage, they did not tell me their credit card machine was broken. After the massage they said they would not take my credit card because the machine was broken. I had to go get cash in the snow and ice from the atm. The atm only gave 20s and I did not plan on leave an extra ten for the tip on top of what what I was leaving (20%) so I asked for change. The woman told me she did not have change for me so I said okay I will just have to tip you next time then. It was then she went to get the change I was requesting. This place is legit, I love accupressure massages because they really work out your knots and you don't leave feeling like they just spread oil on you for an hour. The ambiance was calming, dark, and peaceful. I got the $40 foot and back massage for 1hr. The lady who worked on me knew what she was doing, and I've had lots of massages in East/West coasts. Only complaint I have is that I feel Asian establishments have a bad habit of directly demanding tip or even asking for more tip. Wow, Asia doesn't even have tip culture, so what gives?
