No complaints there. The moment the mail leaves that counter? Another story. My neighborhood has an entire Facebook group that should be titled, "Dude, where's my package?" It's nothing but wrong box, no key to the parcel locker, packages left unlocked in a parcel locker, etc. I get very busy at work sometimes and cannot pick up my mail every day. I use informed delivery to view if anything important is arriving. Usually it shows 1-2 mailpieces, so I don't stress too much about it. Went to pick it up this morning and received a notice inside saying that the residence was vacant and no more mail would be delivered. So. Done.

I found it by mistake some years ago and now I make it my stop for everything that I need to mail of importance. It is out of my way, but it is worth the trip and here's why. There are two amazing people that work there most of the time . One is the Post Master, who is a lovely lady. She is very charming and helpful in all instances and extremely friendly, and the other is a man named Derek. He also has wonderful qualities which just make you feel secure and know that your packages will get to their destination. I have brought both of them multiple packages quite often to go out of the country , and now with the new EU rules it's quite a tedious process to fill out the correct forms and do the things to be certain that everything goes smoothly. The nicest thing is that if something does not go well they are on it immediately and I have found that unfortunately that is quite different than many other Post Office's . Several days ago I mailed a package to Germany and it is very important that it get there. I asked questions about a different way to send it by priority mail , and Derek had all of the answers. Even when I'm sure the questions are annoying both of these people make their customers feel special, and as if they are very important. In this day and age it's quite difficult to find that type of service anywhere. Thank you Derek for your professionalism and your kindness and your knowledge . Several times, I thought she was speaking to me when she was speaking to someone through earbuds on the other end. Not only is this incredibly rude, but it also helps prove the clerk assisting me could not multitask. Her job is to deal with customers, not worry about whatever discussion about tuna she was having and monitoring her kids over the phone. When I tried asking a question about a zip code, she never acknowledged it. Then she took the overnight label I filled out, applied it to the envelope *that she never handed to me* and then sealed it as I was trying to point out that I was still holding the contents to be shipped, she said "Oh, I thought you already put it in". How could I when the envelope was on her side of the barrier? When I asked to start over, she ripped it open, inserted my documents, then taped it back up. Ironically, when the survey popped up on the touch screen, she reached under the barrier and clicked on the green smiley. I WOULD NOT have selected that one and she knew it. This also is UNACCEPTABLE, especially if they are rated on their performance with these. This particular post office is FAMOUS for opening envelopes/packages and stealing gift cards and money, so I won't be surprised if the documents I shipped don't make it.

I'm going to break with a lot of the "hate" here and share that I've had generally positive…read moreexperiences at this location. First, the outer lobby is ipen 24/7 for PO box access, some supplies, and mail drop. There's even a small parcel drop area, and packages often (not 100%!) are scanned in as "received" even outside business hours. Parking is also plentiful. As I'm fond of saying about other retail locations "the customers are often more of a problem than staff." These days, you're likely visiting USPS because you have a task that can't be done online or you have an issue. The same holds true true for probably everyone else in line as well so bring your patience. The USPS is far from perfect but our mailing rates are still generally cheaper than anywhere else. (no, I don't work for USPS).

This post office is open until 7 PM weekdays and 3 PM on Saturday. This is very convenient as most post offices close by 5. The lobby is open 24 hours, so you can buy stamps and send packages using the self-serve machine anytime. How awesome is that?!Probably not awesome but it really works for me when shipping-out items after-hours. Beware of issues mentioned in other reviews because mine is 5 star ray of sunshine in an otherwise cloudy realm.

This is a really neat little historic post office on the outskirts of white Marsh. It's small, so…read moredon't expect the same amenities of some of the bigger places, but because of its location it didn't have the usual lunch time crunch i'm used to when I've tried to do a post office run at noon. The staff was really polite, and was even politely chatting with customers. 4 Stars mostly because I love that these older places are kept up and running. The massive post offices that are popping up more and more just tend to get mobbed.
