First time buying furniture in the state of Texas and decided to buy from here because we seen several stores. should have read reviews before going. We purchased our furniture June 2022, it's still under 2 years and our king size mattress is already ruined it started getting bad about 4 months ago just called to ask if they can help us since it is a mattress and they usually have several years warranty well the woman that answered one was rude and second said there was nothing they can do since it's only one year manufacture warranty for a king size mattress. I am only leaving a review today because I was very disappointed when I purchased my couch. Yes, my furniture did finally come in four weeks later, but it was a lot of back-and-forth. Meaning I will have to call them each step to receiver my furniture I had to call and see when I was getting it when I first made the first call. No one told me that it was in stock and then when he finally came in, I had to call them back again. They was like oh we received it Friday even though it was already Wednesday of the next following week I felt like nothing would have gotten done unless I called them. There was no updates. My initial visit to the store was great. I worked with a taller brown skin man that was skinny. My furniture got delivered and it had stains on it. I took videos literally while the workers took the plastic off and zoomed in on the stains. After going back and forth with the store for over a month they finally agreed to replace my furniture. I paid for a flight to get back home because I was out of town and agreed to end my trip 2 days early. They called me 3 times to confirm the date of delivery, once was to see if I can change from December 7th and I explained no Im ended my vacation early to come back to meet you. Today I get a call stating they wanted to clean my furniture instead of replacing it. I didn't purchase furniture with stains, I purchased a brand new set and that what I expected. I'm not sure if it was used or not. It came with 6 large pieces and an ottoman. Literally all but one chair had stains on it. They tried to blame me for the stains. I explained to them my original photos have time stamps on them with the date and time. And I did not cause the stains. I have videos I sent to them with the delivery guys literally taking the plastic off and you can see the stains. It should've never taken this long to resolve this issue and only reason I think it got resolved this fast because I drove 30 minutes back to the store and spoke with them in person. Horrible service, I highly recommend going elsewhere. My bedroom set that was supposed to arrive in 2 weeks is now 5 more weeks. I received a call the day before the items were supposed to be delivered that it's going to be a month! I tried calling and talking to the manager, she won't even return my calls. HORRENDOUS!! (PLEASE VIEW PHOTOS AS PROOF). STAY AWAY AND HERE'S WHY: - ILLEGAL BUSINESS PRACTICES and sales guy named "Marqus" - Sales people will say anything to get your money/commission - Bel exercises "bait & switch" - Sales people lie about return policy, exclusions, limitations etc. - They will tell you in store you are getting a new item but will sell you a used floor item if you don't know any better, don't take photos, or otherwise don't catch their lies - Also they will sell you a floor model AT FULL PRICE and not even tell you about it. - They use their malicious delivery system to make more money in commission On 6/16/2020 I went to the location in humble and worked with a sales rep named Marqus (a heavyset African-American man). He seemed friendly and genuine but I knew better because at the end of the day he is still an experienced salesperson who knows how to talk slick. Luckily I am a conscious consumer who does research. I picked out a sectional sofa and dining set. NOW HERE IS WHERE THINGS GO LEFT!! I asked him if the pieces I was getting were going to be the display floor items or brand new items from the warehouse in Katy. He then says "If you want all new furniture from the warehouse, then you have to pay for HotShot delivery which is $199 and delivery will be next week" (I know sounds crazy right...but it gets better). If you do regular delivery for $99 we can NOT guarantee you will get new items and your delivery won't be until next month (July 2nd). Because I wanted brand new furniture I agreed to "HOT SHOT" delivery. I then have Marqus confirm im getting brand new stuff. He says yes and we close this BS deal. I then get my receipt from the cashier and leave. When I look at my invoice it says that my couch is coming from the warehouse in Katy which if fine, but then it says my table is coming from Humble (aka floor display from the store)!!! This man lied to my face and assumed I wouldn't/couldn't read. The next day I go back to the store to cancel my whole order and lo and behold there is a sign on table I ordered that says "SOLD by Marqus" He was gonna have that scratched up dirty floor display delivered to my home when I paid for brand new items!! Also, I read the delivery fee schedule on their website and it says that if you pay $199 for hotshot delivery your items will be delivered the next day! He scheduled my delivery for 1 week out! So I would have just paid $199 for nothing! Also note that the "HotShot" delivery is only supposed to expedite your delivery date....but what the hell does that have to do with getting new or used/floor display furniture??? Last time I checked when people want old furniture they go to Good Will, or antique shop!! The nerve of these people. People BELIEVE the negative reviews about this place! Cheap is not always good...just save your money and go to Star furniture or a department store! Thank God I cancelled my purchase within the 72 hour free cancellation period. P.S. FREE ADVICE 1. Never buy the warranty unless you are getting electrical powered furniture. Warranties are 100% pure profit for the sales person...that's why they try so hard to sell it to you. Also, those warranties are not so easy to use when you actually have an accident and you have to pay to have your item delivered to the store/facility for repairs and they still have the right to deny your claim if they choose to do so! Peeling/Fading will never be covered with any warranty. 2. Also, ALWAYS buy furniture from a furniture store that has their own delivery trucks! If not, you will get screwed on 2 different levels like at Bel furniture. Here's how: 1. They have so many orders from all of the city so you will never get your items in a decent time frame because they have to contract out...they will keep canceling/rescheduling your delivery. That's why they tell you to pay extra fees for so-called expedited service. This is non-sense...if that's the case you may as well take the $199 you pay for hot-shot service and pay some relatives/friends or professional movers and just do a pick-up for the same price or less! 2. Because they contract out, if you find something wrong with your items upon delivery the drivers will NOT take it back to the warehouse and just tell you to call the store! my review is about the service. The salesman was very knowledgeable and helpful. However I was quoted a delivery date that made me ineligible for the 48 hour reschedule. I called with the 48 hours but was still charged a $149 rescheduling fee, because the furniture was already on the truck 20 less than 24 hours after I purchased it, and therefore it could not be rescheduled. After talking to many staff, everyone came to the same consensus that I shouldn't have to pay another delivery fee. However, if I wanted Bel to deliver my furniture, I was going to have to pay and did pay a rescheduling fee. I would not recommend this store to anyone who wishes to have a pleasant experience with delivery. There is no wiggle room or compromise for mistakes made on their part. oh did I mention that my purchase was paid in cash while I like the furniture and I was happy with the salesman. My purchase made on November 10 is now being delivered on December 18 after I went into the store on December 7 and paid a total of $162.36 for a redelivery fee. This is not a good way to do business. I will never let me say that again never use our recommend Bel furniture to any one that I know. read more

Horrible customer service. We were supposed to get a sectional delivered today that we purchased during Black Friday. They call us today (on the day of delivery) and say that the last sectional they had was damaged and that they weren't going to get any more to the warehouse. We waited 5 weeks for this furniture to get delivered for them to tell us that we can't have it. I'm so pissed. Then they say that we can't get the full value of the sectional ($498); we can only get the exact value that we paid ($398). We got there early during Black Friday to get $100 gift card and so now they can't honor the $100 gift card so now they can only give us $398 towards another sectional. It is NOT our fault that Bel furniture damaged the furniture and we lost out on out $100 gift card . I will NEVER give Bel furniture a dime of my money ever again! To whom it may concern: I would like to express our concern for your staff at the Humble location. Unfortunately, rather than walking out with a bedroom set as we had planned we walked out with nothing this evening. I'm very sad and disappointed at the way my husband and I were treated by the manager of this location. We walked in wanting to purchase a king bedroom set. We asked if we were able to purchase and an extra night stand and chest of drawers. The set came with a mirror and we kindly told him we did not need it since our TV would be hung on the wall above the dresser. We asked if we could use that as credit of the mirror towards the rest of our purchase, obviously because we didn't have a need for a mirror. Hence, we were still going to be spending more then the whole set with the extra furniture we wanted regardless. The manager, who went by the name of "Mo", said he wouldn't be able to do anything with an extra mirror laying around. I responded to him that we would have the exact same problem with the mirror. His response to me in particularly was that he would rather sell the set to someone else than. I find this to be very unprofessional as a manager. Not only that, I was a customer willing to pay and pay extra in cash.Now to due to his behavior we don't feel comfortable walking in and purchasing furniture we truly really wanted.Another gentleman named Dawn who works there and heard the entire conversation. His response was that he knew the manager didn't handle the situation appropriately. The manager then made a comment as we were walking out that his store was closing in 20 minutes and we had come in late. Worst Experience ever.... Be careful when you deal with this furniture company especially with the delivery. They require customer to inform at least 48 hours prior to your delivery date to reschedule but they only inform customer the date of delivery the time frame they will deliver which might be as late as 11pm. This is a joke!!!! The customer service is useless, all they would say is, "I will email you the invoice so you can look at the policy"... Take my advice, stay away from this practice. read more

Stay away!!! We have had nothing but problems with the Humble and shipping center. My husband went here in their grand opening. Stood in line forever for all their prizes they advertised and they were all gimmicks. The employees were extremely under qualified that day, rude, couldn't answer hardly any questions and our account is still messed up from whatever information they entered that day. My husband finally bus the furniture and then they took forever to deliver furniture, over a month. Pieces were brought on different dates. When we ask and they do finally confirm the rest of our furniture will be delivered, they tell us from 3-7pm. I call at 8:50pm to ask where they're at and the lady in the store tells me it's an estimate not a guaranteed time of delivery but that they're on their way. They arrive a little after 9pm. They deliver the mattress and one night stand. Two weeks later they deliver the bedroom set and the furniture is damaged and one nightstand doesn't match our set. They agree to come back a week later with replacements. They told us a different time than when they were actually going to come to replace damaged and wrong furniture. Then told us we were liars, that they had told us it was for an earlier time and they told us that. when we couldn't make it home within 15 minutes to meet them, they refused to reschedule without a another $130 delivery fee. They said we would have to bring the damaged furniture to their store to exchange. They also said we could swap our mattress out if we didn't like it if we bought their mattress cover. So we did and then they tell us we have to sleep on it for two weeks before we decide.. then they flat out refused to exchange it after two weeks. On top of all that their supervisors were completely rude and refused to do ANYTHING to make anything right. They just told us to call corporate. We call corporate and they just tell us they'll look into it... And nothing. No call backs. This place is the worst. I have NEVER had such bad customer service from a company that your buying over $3,000 worth of furniture from. Their wood furniture is not solid wood either. A lot of the carved parts of the wood furniture are cast resin, which is like really hard plastic.. and veneers glued on top of wood. Many of their couches are faux leather! They don't tell you unless you point it out. Never again. If you want quality furniture, I suggest you pay just a little more and go somewhere and get quality furniture where they will treat you right. Monday morning I will be contacting Better Business Bureau as well. read more

Delivery service was very POOR!!! They cause damage on my hardwood floors and doesn't want to pay. I have dealt w/Bel's before but was a different group that delivered and they were very careful but this last delivery was HORRIBLE. I have been dealing w/this issue since in June and its yet to be dealt with professionally. I have attempted to contact the MANAGER TROY and he still has not return my emails nor call'd cause I have lft my contact # in the email. Now that is very unprofessional. I have videos, pictures, and text mssgs. The drivers name is Romero that caused the damage to my floors. I have waited for them to bring in their own people to come in a give me a quote but in the beginning I was to for me to get someone to give me a quote. I did try but everyone I attempted to contact said they were very busy but as soon as they are available they would contact me. I did call to let the store know and also texted and was told that they were looking as well but everyone was busy. I was told to continue to look and when I do get a quote to let them know. I did get a quote months later and when it was sent and partial payment was made but now they are not wanting to make the final payment which was agreed that 1st payment is to be made on the 30th of Oct which was not and sent in on the 31st and the last payment was to be made on Nov 10th and still no payment. I will suggest that when BEL'S come to deliver you take all before pictures and when they are done all the after pictures. I do have videos & pictures of the delivery driver taking the nail that was under on leg of the chair and him attempting to color in the damages on the floor. There is no denying of who and what cause damages. The deliver manager Margarita made all of her notes in system and also was the one that I accepted the payment arrangements with. Now nothing put excuses and trying to play w/my energy and time. I will eventually hire an attorney nothing but LIES & more LIES. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE & VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. read more

Would give Bel Furniture negative stars if I could. Bought a table and chair set and was convinced by their staff to also purchase the guardian protection. However, when we went to make a claim as the bench seat cover was damaged and screws kept falling out, despite Guardian agreeing to the claim, Bel Furniture said it would not provide a replacement seat "as it is only sold as a set". The staff there could not or would not make any decision on their own and would defer to someone else....totally unsatisfactory and will never shop there again. read more

Went in for the first time today, Tuesday, at 11:45am. Struggled to get through the two sets of doors with a stroller, and I am 37 weeks pregnant. I was quite appalled that the two salesmen were so into their conversation while lounging on the store furniture that neither man offered to help me through the door. The place was otherwise empty! I was greeted shortly after I huffed my way in and was simply pointed in the direction of what I might be looking for so that the salesman could go back to his conversation. My family just moved to Houston from Nashville and we went to Bel Furniture and loved their selection and really loved Marcus (our salesman) and we spent well over $3000 on new furniture. We got the furniture the first week we were in Houston which is a plus because we were off work to get all moved in. When the kitchen table arrived it was damaged while it was being set up. They screwed the legs through the top of the table. Accidents happen. We totally understood. We were told we would get a replacement and that it would be set up for a Tuesday. We told them that Tuesday would not be possible because we werent able to take off at our new jobs yet unless we were guaranteed a first thing tuesday morning delivery. The lady over the phone said she would call us back and let us know. Never got a call until the day before confirming Tuesday is okay. We told her only if its the morning. She said she cant guarantee anything. We asked to speak to a manager since we werent at fault for the damage. Mariah with Bel Furniture told me i could not speak to a manager multiple times and would not take my name and number for a call back. So my husband and i drove up there. Tiffany the store manager told us she would get her guys to have it delivered to their store on Friday and it would be at our house first thing saturday. We were extremely happy with that and we went on our way. Friday we get a call confirming our appt between 0800-1100 on saturday. We thought we were good to go. Saturday morning comes and the driver calls us and tells us he will be at our house between 4pm and 7pm. VERY UPSET I call Tiffany he store manager and she instantly answered the phone with an attitude and told me she never said and that and raised her voice multiple times. I asked if we could just get our money back and was told its a 25% of sale fee if they take it back. I hang up with her and try to call the corporate office and got no answer. I finally gave up and waited for our new table to get here so we could be done with it. just arrived with more damages, when telling the driver Jose about the damages he got rude with us and told us to just call the store and see if they would do something about it. The Customer service is unsatisfactory. They had a pretty good sale and we purchased a sectional. They told us they had it in stock in the color we wanted. You can either have it delivered or pick up at the warehouse (in Katy), we picked it up. Got home to find out they ordered the wrong color which was inconvenient but we figured it would be resolved. We called and they kept telling us we were wrong and what we picked up was the item we ordered. We took the time to drive over and show them the color was wrong and they had us waiting while they checked if the correct color was available. After about 40min they said they would call us later but never they did. The next day I called to check in and they said I would be called back. Never got a call so I called again and they said i could either take the one on display at the location or keep the one I got. Typically when a sales team makes an error in their inventory they compensate the customer for the inconvenience. Good customer service would have at least made a follow up phone call or apologized for the mix up, not make you feel like it's your problem to handle. The products seem great but customer service makes all the difference in any shopping experience. read more

We purchased a "leather" sectional a little over a year ago. The quality is horrendous. It's been barely used and the recline mechanism has broken twice, the frame underneath one of the sections cracked, and now the bonded leather is disintegrating. We purchased the extended warranty so they have come out and fixed the structural problems but the leather flaking off is not covered. NEVER again will we spend a dime in their store. read more

My husband and I bought a living room set from Bel furniture in Humble, TX. Marqus was our sales guy, and was very helpful. Our problem came when we got our delivery. The delivery guys put a big dent in our front door and didn't even say anything about it. They were very rough with the furniture as they were setting it up. My husband inspected the furniture as they brought it in, and discovered that the two end tables were broken. We sent them back. They scheduled the next delivery a week from the first one. When they brought the replacement tables these were also broken. My husband at this point was fed up with the company and wanted to return everything we had purchased, but they charge a 25% restocking fee for anything you want to return. The customer service is severely lacking with this store. They don't care if the customer is happy, they only want to make the sale. They obviously don't inspect the things they are delivering. We will never buy from this store again, and will strongly discourage everyone we know from using them as well. We are hoping that when they deliver our end tables again they are the brand new tables we paid for. Please do not buy from this store. read more

One of the worst experiences ever. This company ONLY cares about you until they get your money. After that, they don't care anything about you. They damaged my home and the furniture they delivered. Delivery guy got mad when I mentioned it was damaged and needed to be exchanged. They scheduled a re-delivery time late at night and refused to change or accommodate the customers schedule. Manager "Mo" made a point to say I will not receive my money back if I don't want to keep the damaged furniture or commit to a time convenient for them.
