I have been going to BeLeaf for almost six years and I have never been disappointed with a service. The stylists, estheticians and front end staff are knowledgeable and welcoming, and I always feel at home. The space itself is beautiful, clean and smells amazing! Our massages and facials were wonderful and the girls were very sweet however; the customer service at the cash was awful. I am a 65 year old woman who saved up to take my daughter and granddaughter, who are visiting from away, for an aveda spa experience here in the beautiful town of Wolfviille. We were so excited! My daughter and grandaughter were called in fist as my girl was still finishing up with another client . I decided that I would pay then so my daughter wouldn't try to pay where she would be out first. I was feeling rushed when paying as I was waiting for the girl to come for my massage. After paying I went back to sit down to wait and when I looked at my receipt and realized that I had made a mistake with the tip. It was $93.00 and change!! I am a retied senior and absolutely could not afford a tip like this! I panicked and immediately went back to the cash and explained that I could not afford a tip like this., I will not go into the details of the rude and condescending attitude that I experienced from the girl behind the counter. I understood what an inconvenience that I had caused and as mentioned ....I apologized a few times. My apologies were met with grunts and obvious major irritation. This immediately tainted my whole spa experience. and carried through my whole session! To note.... I was refunded the tip in cash so I could then give what I believed to still be a generous tip. My daughter experienced the same attitude when inquiring about prices for some products she wanted to purchase while waiting for me to come out. Have gone here for a couple years for brow tinting and pedicures and had wedding makeup done (very happy with wedding makeup). Had to change aestheticians once because the first woman was a bit rude. I've had positive experiences with all the rest of the staff there. Recently went and had my hair done in their salon. They are being very careful with Covid 19 policies and procedures. I felt very safe (and I am immune compromised so I am extremely careful). I would highly recommend. read more

I took my daughter to Be Leaf Spa and Salon last week so we could get our hair cut. I was quite misled by their advertisements of being a luxury high end establishment. We got there and to start they didn't have a place for us to sit and wait while our "stylists" were getting ready to cut our hair. When they finally came out, they argued with us about cutting our hair.....2 red flags and yet we stay. My stylist shampooed the top of my hair and put me in a chair....3 red flags. They seat you quite far from the mirror, and I am assuming this is because they have no more confidence in what there staff is capable of then I do now, and they don't want you to actually see your hair until you get home. another red flag! I asked for an inverted bob and swooped bangs. I have very short razored bangs that just stick out everywhere. Neither side of my hair even remotely resembles the other, and there are big chunks just randomly cut out. The "belief" at Be Leaf is....and I quote my stylist from that day " curly hair is so forgiving you hardly even notice the mistakes". All the while I sit there feeling like if I get up and walk out it would be rude; yet four staff in Be Leaf found it perfectly acceptable to let me pay for those cuts. That tells you the integrity of Be Leaf Spa. Their motivation is greed, not making their customer look and feel valued. My daughter ended up with a frizzy mullet after asking for long layers. $80 might be not much to the other reviewer, but it is a lot fr me.
