Very disappointed with the service and pricing quoted. We had used this company for a similar…read moreissue several years ago with great results. I don't know if ownership or leadership has changed but current service was much different. The affected area was 50 square feet about 1/3 of which was a concrete floor storage room. Crew was in and out for a total of less than 2 hours which included bringing the equipment in and out. We were billed for 1 man hour emergency response during business hours, 8 man hours set up, take down and monitoring, plus another man hour for moving furniture. Fans were left for 2 days and dehumidifier 5 (only because it was over a weekend). We were billed for 4 days, which they "corrected" for a small decrease. We were charged for 1 man hour moving furniture. We had all furniture moved other than one cabinet that was on wheels, which they moved to steam clean the carpet. They also put the front two legs of a couch on "blocks". I was also told they "blocked" an end table which is not correct. The total carpet cleaning took 30 minutes including bringing the hose in, so... I have no idea how an additional "man hour" was added to move furniture. I was told the additional 7 hours of charges were going from "port to port, their location" or "job to job". Job to job makes no sense unless they charge both "jobs" a transportation charge, double dipping...their location is 30 minutes away from our house. And the 1 man hour emergency response is included in the 2 hour total worked, he came in looked at the area, talked to a boss on the phone, came back in with an estimate all in about 10 minutes. I was told he came from Lowes east about 15 to 20 minutes from our house. Again doesn't add up. I was also told by the tech how there was very "little" moisture because we'd got a giant fan "borrowed from our son-in-law" on the area. Lessons learned on my end. We should have rented a dehumidifier for a week for a $150, then paid a carpet cleaning company and saved ourselves over 10 times what we were charged. Or call a more reputable company. Three calls to the company did not resolve the situation. This is honestly the first poor review I've left on a company website.

They won't tell you they are charging your insurance $450 a month to store your belongings in a warehouse. Their salesmen on the initial meeting tells you, you can access your belongings and they have boxes itemized for those reasons. We had a few requests all which were never followed up on or accessed. After finally giving up on the run around we pulled our stuff from their storage to our own at half the cost. Finally, the bill. Textile/clothes cleaning, pack out, storage. Item "cleansing" which I know was never performed at a massive total of 21k. How can someone charge thousands for cleanings that never actually occurred. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone in times of stress as they prey on the vulnerable and intentionally lie about the quality of their service. I can't imagine if it had went ahead with wall cleaning with their "magic sponge" how much this would have cost me. They should be ashamed of themselves and should really look at what they are selling their company as.

They keep you in the loop of what is being done....if they say they will be there at 2PM, you can COUNT on that. Their work is done efficiently, so smooth you don't see the seams, THEY clean up and you don't. Their cost is within pennies of their estimate, and EVERYTHING IS ITEMIZED, no hidden costs. The office staff are so helpful and make every effort to offer support on things you might not understand. They may sound too good to be true, but the truth is , THEY ARE JUST THAT GOOD ! We couldn't have had better work done in our home and we know that from other experience. Call ACT, they will not let you down.

The initial meeting after our house fire gave me hope but from that point on it was nothing but a…read morenightmare. The crew that came to my house was a group of wonderful people but the people in charge were awful. Example: after work on Friday, a week after the fire, my husband and I went to the house to check on that day's progress as always. We saw many personal items thrown into the dumpster, a practice we were promised repeatedly would not happen. Most of the stuff was junk and we were ok with getting rid of it anyway but in some black, opaque garbage bags were our wedding decorations and homemade Christmas decorations. These Christmas decorations were up to 30 years only and had our children's pictures on them. Clearly they were not things that were "cheaper to buy new than to bother cleaning" as you obviously cannot buy things like that new. When I called the man who initially said "if you have any problems give me a call" he answered and was very irritated that I would call at dinner time on a Friday night because he was "out with his wife". He assured me that we could handle the situation on Monday morning. When I explained that the dump truck was coming the next morning to replace the full dumpster with an empty one he said "well then what do you want me to do?" My husband and I ended up dumpster diving all night for our "date" to salvage what we could. In addition to that nightmare and many, many others we didn't even get everything back. We couldn't unpack all of our belongings until we moved back into our home, 6 months after we got the boxes, so we didn't realize there were missing items until then. When we called to say we were missing the DVDs that we spent over $700 to have cleaned (we have err had a lot of DVDs) they said it was too late. My guess is they were upset with me when I wouldn't allow them to do the 2nd stage work, i.e. rebuilding my burnt home. But why would I after the problems I had getting my personal property cleaned? Going through a house fire is bad enough, this company doesn't help. I recommend you find another restoration company.
