NO MORE BELK !!!! I remember going to Belk's when I was a kid, and it seemed to have a good reputation. I just visited today (26F) to buy some flannel sheets. When I googled "flannel sheets" it popped up that Belk had these really pretty green checkered ones for under $25! I got in my car and drove down, walked the WHOLE STORE twice before a nice lady asked me if I needed help, so I explained I was looking for flannel sheets. She gave me a sympathetic smile, and informed me that I was at the WOMEN'S STORE, and that the sheets would be in the MENS. I asked if it was upstairs or something, and she shook her head "no", and explained how to get there. Apparently, there are TWO Belks. They are less than .5 mile from each other and NOT connected. On apple and google maps it only show the address for the women's location. I get BACK in my car and over to the men's store, and locate the sheets I was looking at. Turns out the sheets that were advertised to me by my google search were in fact MICROFIBER sheets. When I asked an associate a question about how the bedding section was arranged I told her that I wasn't a regular shopper, and was curious since it seemed all the microfiber sheets I was looking at were FULL size; she proceeded to look me up and down, and respond " obviously , now can you move so I can get a ladder." I was kinda in shock at being treated like this. I snagged a set of flannel sheets from the sale table on the other side of the bedding section ( not really the ones I wanted but oh well) and made my way to the register. The lady there rang me up, and told me my total. I figured that the sheets would be close to maybe $22 since the microfiber ones were $14.98 to my shock they were $30. I asked the employee that if I could find them cheaper online if they would price match. She scoffed and looked down her nose at me. "If you can FIND them for Cheeper then 75% off I'll be in shock." She said sarcastically to me with a role of her eyes, and this was not a young person either! Needless to say I spent $10 extra at JC Penney's for better service. Just because I don't fit the "norm" of thin, white, and over 65 doesn't mean that they can be rude to me. I'll be returning the sheets and never spending a DIME in that business. Needles to say I can see why no one under the age of 45 shops there. read more

They are understaffed. It is so irritating to have to hunt a clerk down. The store could use a deep cleaning. It has really gone down hill over the years. They could use some improving on their customer service for sure. I think I have been here for the very last time. read more

I like this store!! They have a nice selection MK shoes....love them. Ohhhhhh im drueling....Oh wait, I forgot that I came in for some new clothes. Ahah! Nice selection. Clean store, great helpful associates. Pretty reasonable prices. Now, back to the MK shoes---ahhhhh. I'll take this pair and that pair and that one and those too. read more

My daughter and I were wasting time this past weekend due to us being in Knoxville for soccer games. I decided to check out the Clinique counter. I was in need of Foundation. I have never went to the counters before and did not know quite what to do. I asked one of the sales associates if it was possible to get matched for the correct foundation. When, I tell you the way she looked at me and answered that question; I was immediately caught of guard. I was in just my regular soccer mom attire and was tired from the drive up. She started matching foundation to my skin, however she put two different colors on each side and never wiped it off or gave me something to wipe my face off. So, needless to say I looked like a clown until I could get back to our hotel. At check out, another sales associate came over because the other lady started to cough. I was looking at coupons on my phone and did not realize she needed for me to pay. I was apologetic, but after we left the store my daughter was like momma; that lady looked at you mean and was making mean faces because you were looking at your phone. Needless to say, shame on you!! You are the face of that Belk, and if that is the service that is provide then that is a shame! Will never shop at this Belk again!!! read more

If your only a women's store, then put it on your sign. Being a man, I park and go into the place after being referred by a friend to go here. Waste of time, had to drive around to another Belks for men, but of course they did not have what I needed. read more

Sales associates aren't friendly, and one looked me up and down when I asked for help finding something. I won't be back.

Great deals sometimes. But good luck finding an employee to help you and checking out is a nightmare. Difficult to find a register with an employee at it, so the few checkout counters that have a cashier at them are busy and slow (takes forever)! read more

I wish I could score it higher. I ran in to get a nice button down (ANY BRAND) shirt for an 18- or 24- month and they had nothing. Also had to guess if this store had the children's clothes. Add a description on the outside. read more

I went into this store recently in a very busy day because I usually love shopping at this location, but on this day I received the most aweful customer service from who I think had to have been a manager by the name of John. I was looking for a shirt in the men's store and they did not have the size I was looking for. He was very dismissful and seemed to be very bothered by helping me search for this shirt. This store use to be a nice place to shop but recently over the last year the customer service has gone down. I hope that they teach their people how to relate to their customers since we are the reason they have a job. read more

Very poor and narrow selection on clothing, only few cosmetics brands and mostly older, rather unpleasant sales associates.

I applied to the Turkey Creek Belk location towards the beginning of the Holiday season and was told by the Human Resources manager, Betty Dillon, that they were indeed hiring. I called after about a 2 weeks of submitting my application and was told at that particular time that they haven't started their seasonal hiring yet and was told to call back. I called back after following Betty's instructions to do so only to be told that they rather not hire someone of "my" background. Now I was under the impression that "Human" Resources managers were supposed to have more of an ability to work with the public hence Belk feeling as if she was capable of doing so but this wasn't the case. I of course was applying to other businesses but the unprofessionalism of this Betty Dillon really rubbed me the wrong way. She raised her voice at me as she told me that if someone was interested in my unqualified application that I would receive a phone call. She went on to ask me did someone call me, after replying no she asked me why was I wasting her time. Now at one time this Ms. Betty Dillon was on the side of searching for a job so you would think she would have more compassion but I suppose after achieving the success of being hired she forgot her humanity. I would like for her procedures to be examined because it is very insensitive to talk to someone only looking for employment like everyone else (and not even to be regularly employed) this search is hard enough without having to deal with a rude "Human" resources manager. My wish for the Turkey Creek Belk in Knoxville, TN is that they put someone in that position that will only make themselves look great in public relations. Thank You for your time. read more
