Gross Employees. When me and my friends went to the mall looking at stores to find prom dresses, an employee decided to berate my friend clearly helping me put a dress on another friend. The friend helping put on the dress was male. Me as well as my other friend are female. You could clearly see what we were doing because the door was open. we are literally zipping it up, a very normal thing for a dressing room. There are no openings in this room other than the open door. Then this evil worker decides to peek her head in and berate my friend about him being inside the dressing room that had no signs for male or female restrictions. and then continues to sass him after he decided to politely explain. This older woman ruined the experience, dont hire people like this if you want sales. read more

Need to get rid of the obnoxious woman in the cosmetics department. She asks how you're going to pay before you even pick out a purchase. Then she is way too pushy about selling more product and getting you to sign up for their credit card. She's a joke in my women's club. We've all turned around when we've seen that she's working the counter. Add in that they are always out of a lot of Clinique products, and it's not the shopping experience you want your customers to have. Otherwise the store is ok. read more

Been a Belks customer all my life since I grew up where it originated in NC. I love their clothes and really appreciate their price point. Always a good sale. Only problem is keeping my Belk credit card paid off. read more

The selections and customer service are not acceptable. There are very few store clerks and very few open check outs. The store is poorly stocked and a mess. There is a lot of clearance in the girls and mens clothing departments, sadly the prices are still high. You'd think they'd mark this stuff down to get rid of it. Literally, more clearance merchandise in the girls department than current in season stock. This used to be a great store to shop, looks as if they are going out of business, and if not now, they will be if they keep this up! read more

Looks wonderful! Updated and clean. The lady at fine jewelry is kind of rude, well she was to us, she certainly carried on a friendly conversation with her friend, and she wears all this tacky jewelry- I dunno, if I'm looking at $2000 rings, maybe this isn't the place to do it! The selection of dress shirts & pants in my size is nearly impossible to find in this place. Actually, I usually have a hard time finding clothes in my size. I'm 6'1" 190lbs. Didn't think that was such an unusual size, but I guess it is. Maybe it's just so popular, that everyone runs out. If that's the case, they should stock up. The issue that I had today kind of confused me. Their sale was buy 1 get 2 free. I picked 3 shirts. All of them were the same brand and style. I went to the cash register and the lady rang up all 3 shirts and said that since one of the shirts was marked as clearance, it couldn't be included. Wait, let me get this straight. I buy a $45 shirt. I get another $45 shirt for free, but since the 3rd shirt is marked at $13.99, I can't get it for free? She actually told me that I had to go and pick out another $45 shirt and put the $13.99 shirt back. WTF! I walked away in astonishment back over to the shirt section and just laid them down and walked out. Are people just robots and don't have the capability to realize when something just doesn't make any sense. I'm sure they are just in the mindset that they can only do what the computer will let them do, but Jesus, couldn't a manager be called over to resolve this? read more

Only giving one because zero not an option. You will not be able to checkout in this store. The only places to checkout are shoes and jewelry which are all people who are busy helping others. Been in a few times with same result nobody to check you out. There are plenty of other workers but they just float around trying to look busy. Poor management clearly. Go to Dillard it's similar expensive with much better service. read more

So waiting for a escape room to do with kids, we walk into Belk department store... I have small feet so I typically can just try in a shoe without a sales person to get me right shoe size etc. so I try on the white pair of these and step down and I got stabbed in the foot with a tack, which broke skin and bled. At first we thought some kids playing a trick and realized after talking to a sales person that they do this will all shoes to keep them on rack. I couldn't believe they would leave tacks in shoes where kids can grab or idiots like me just try on a shoe. The first manger then told me that was my fault bc I didn't ask a sales rep for my size and these were displays. We walked out without looking further or buying anything. After talking to my husband, we decided to fill out a incident report in case it gets infected as now I have an open wound on the bottom of my foot from the pin prick. I walked back into the store and asked to fill out the report, a second manger came to help me and she too told me that even Dillard's puts tacks in the bottom of their shoes, which I replied I have never ever seen this before in any store and how dangerous it was. She said they didn't have a official "incident report" and that she would get me a paper to fill out and put me on spot to sit down and just write what happened on the back of a scrap sale paper and she would take to HR which I also found odd. #Belk #ShoeShopping #stabbedwithtack read more

I love to shop at this place. Amazing clothing that you can guarantee nobody else is wearing but the staff are Debbie Downers!!! I can't tell you how many times I've gone in there excited like a kid on Christmas morning only to get to the register and get an attitude by an employee. I don't know if corporate or management reads these interviews but they need to address this. I'm speaking specifically of the Pensacola store at the mall. I'm so sick of it that I'm reconsidering not shopping here anymore and it bums me out. However, I refuse the experience that has been consistently bad as far as service. It's like going to a really great restaurant with great food and the service ruins your experience. What's the point? I have to question why I even go there anymore. This store is horrible for false advertising and coupons that you cannot use because everything is marked as a doorbuster. Went into the store because the new circular for Belk days advertises Kim Rogers buy 1; get 2 free on fall tops and denim. Even shows it in the picture. Nope, denim is a doorbuster not included even though sign is right above it. Seems to be the case each time I go there. I think this will be my last! read more

I had a great experience the other night. I went right to what I was interested in buying. It was on sale and top quality men's clothing. The assistant was very helpful with my purchase and even a special order. There were additional discounts as well. I was out of there in less than 15 minutes. I was in the store on Friday of last week. I purchased a pair of leggings and when I went to the cash register to pay for them, the store clerk was not very friendly at all. I was glad when I finished with my purchase. Another lady came in back of me and she treated her in the same way that she treated me, no respect. If they are not going to be kind to customers, they should not work in that environment!! read more
