As a stay-at-home mom, my weekly Target run is one of the few chances I have to unwind--but lately, it's been a source of frustration instead. On multiple occasions, I've experienced terrible customer service from one individual in particular. She's consistently rude, rolling her eyes and speaking curtly to customers, even as she's sweet and almost flirtatious with her coworkers. It's disheartening and, honestly, ruins the experience. I'm determined to find out her name because she really needs to be held accountable for how she treats customers. When I do, I will notify Target on the corporate level, district level, etc. She really brings the quality of the store down. That said, not all is bad. There are some incredibly kind and helpful team members at this store, and I want to especially recognize the security guard at the entrance. He always greets everyone warmly and goes out of his way to make people feel welcome--someone give this man a raise!

The store was very cluttered, stock was scattered all over the store, but the one thing that upset me was the employees. I had a buggy full of stuff, I went to the checkout, was the ONLY person in line. The cashier was stocking things in the cattle run (what u call it anyway), the boxes were behind me, she saw us, didn't speak, and insisted of checking us out, she walked behind me and continued stocking shelves. I pushed the buggy to one of the lanes and immediately left. I've always loved TJ Maxx and will continue to shop just not at this location.

On Tuesdays they have senior discounts which worked out great for my mother. Employees are kind as well. Most are college kids from UA. That makes a huge difference. I feel that now since I've moved to Hoover where most workers act like costumers are a huge inconvenience. But again also remember this is in a college town. If you go in July/August or December you won't find anything because 40,000 students just moved in.

It's sprawling enough that you may not want to walk from one destination to the next, but parking is quite cramped and hard to come by (good luck parking anywhere near where you want to go), and people tend to drive pretty inattentively, so I feel like I'm taking my life in my hands just by venturing into the parking lot. And, it's generally very twisty turny confusing -- if I'm going someplace I haven't been, it's a challenge finding it without driving all over (see parking lot issues). So I would prefer not to come here, since it's guaranteed to frustrate me. Also, the one time I attempted to use the wi-fi, it was a disaster. If you're going to provide it, make sure it works; otherwise, don't bother. I get that there are a bunch of higher-end stores here and they are trying to be fancy, but jeez. I am not much of a shopper, so I doubt I'll be spending much time in Midtown Village.

Another gentleman near the empty customer service counter in that section said he had been waiting for awhile. Seeing security cameras on every aisle, I tried waving and pointing to the section where the case was... the lights would flash on, but no one came. Venturing into the store, I found a male associate and asked for his help getting the item. He said he didn't have a key. NOW... wouldn't you think he might find someone who did? I began trying to get someone's attention on the cameras (in every aisle) and singing Walmart, Walmart, we need some help here. NO ONE came. I eventually found a masked associate and asked for her help. She did open the case WITHOUT A SINGLE SYLLABLE OF GREETING OR REPLY. Absolutely ridiculous. I'm glad I don't live in Tuscaloosa and I don't plan on ever shopping at that Walmart again! It shouldn't take half an hour to purchase one item from the personal care section on a Thursday afternoon.
