I had the worst experience today at Belk. I went in to return a formal dress that I had purchased at Gainesville Belk. Shonda, the associate working the return desk, looked at the dress and found a few pieces of lint inside the bottom of the dress, and told me that she couldn't return it because it seemed, from the two pieces of lint inside, that I had worn it. I tried it on but never wore it. I do have a big dog and he may have brushed against the bottom when it was hanging on the door frame at home. I have never been treated like this. All of the tags were on it too. I demanded a manager and she called one over to me. The manager was nice, and she explained how there are certain things they must check(which I had been told already). She returned the dress for me and hinted I should have gone back to Gainesville where I purchased it. The reason I went to Bethlehem was because it was closer this time and had to be returned by the 15th of January. I have been taught that if you work with the public you do everything you can to provide service to the customer in a pleasant and helpful way. I am 76 years old and I will not be treated this way by anyone. I will have a hard time recommending Bethlehem Belk to anyone I know. read more

Store is practically wiped out. Overpriced. Nastiest bathroom I've ever been in at a department store. No toilet paper either! Gross, nasty dirty and the clerk I told did t seem to care. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Not impressed. read more

Clinique counter attendant was rude and not willing to assist me with a consult. She made the excuse that they were in a free gift and she was busy. May I mention that I was the only one at her counter! Since when does it make good business sense to not consult for potential more business? I knew the way she observed my approach she was not interested in helping me. This Bethlehem store has some opportunity to make some changes. The first one should be customer appreciation. Sorry I'm not your friend or your everyday customer but you just lost the potential to have a new customer. Nice, new, large Belk department store. WAAAAY better than the one I'm usually stuck with. Excellent shoe department. I wish I could find a Belk that carries some of the higher end brands that they carry online like Anne Klein & Ralph Lauren (Lauren). I need some cocktail dresses & tired of going to Dillard's. read more

Omgosh is this store better than the Athens, Georgia store. The lighting is better, the set up and they have soooo much more variety here. Since there were more items there are better sales. The shoe department is congested, squeezed together but all in all I like the store ! read more

I absolutely love this store. Easy to get to! Parking is close. All the employees are very helpful. This is my store now!! I use to be a big JCP customer but have switched to Belk!! As my husband puts it I pay their payroll because I spend too much there! Maybe that is why JCP isn't doing too well!! I recently got a new job so I needed new clothes. I was able to find the right kind of clothes at a great price. Keep up the good work and don't change like JCP and you will keep my business! read more
