How sweet is that? I always tell people I'll pray for them, but I've never been brave enough to stand on a corner and flag people down to offer one. As I continued on my way, I realized I had plenty of things I could use prayer for myself. There's power in prayer, right? So I turned that car around and marched right over. When they asked if I wanted a prayer, I shared some concerns about my Dad & Mom health . These wonderful people took the time to listen and pray over my family and I . It was such a comforting and uplifting experience. There was even a cute little puppy there, which always helps! They wrote down my prayer request, invited me to come back, and let me know they do this every Friday morning. I think that's incredibly cool. As if that wasn't kind enough, they even sent me home with a loaf of bread. Such a thoughtful gift. My message to anyone who sees something like this happening: don't be afraid to pull over. It might end up being exactly what you need. I know it was for me. I need all the prayers I can get, and what these volunteers are doing is truly God's work. As I was pulling away, someone else rode up on a bicycle looking for prayer too. Looks like I wasn't the only one who needed a little hope that day. Five stars.
