So I got on yelp and started to get quotes. I was I a rush as well. Able showed up. Told him what I wanted to have done and he told no problem. So we agreed on the price and he started. Things were going well. Then my done by date came and went. I will say overall the work was completed but the attention today detail is lacking. Overall I would recommend AMT. Able's communication was okay. His team was good except for the tile guy. I was super annoyed that all the tile that was needed to be cut was done inside the condo so I got dust all over my furniture and freshly painted walls and ceiling.

When it got time for me to get the bathrooms done I had the tough task of finding someone I could trust to do the work; as a single girl in the city I didn't want to get taken advantage of. Luckily, my handyman got me in touch with Tim at LA Remodel. Tim and his partner Mike are great. They came out, we talked about what I needed done and gave me an estimate. The work they did was excellent and completed quickly. Since they knew I was on a budget they consulted any time something unexpected came up that would cost more or let me know if there were ways I could save some money, which is why I decided to paint the bathrooms myself and save some cash. I felt like Tim was psychic, I told him what type of look I was going for and all of the samples he brought for me to choose from were spot on. He even picked the faucets that I would've chosen myself. They were also really neat and clean; you get to one bathroom through my bedroom and you could hardly tell they'd been there they cleaned up so well on a daily basis; my rug was cleaner than it was before they started! Tim even called so he could return my cat's favorite toy, which they accidentally took when finishing the job. I thanked him from avoiding a potential crisis since watching her diligently search for it was pretty sad. You almost forget she easily has about 50 other toys she could play with. Tim and his partner also did some work for my parents. They too were thrilled with the quality of work they did for him. As my mom said, their estimates may not be the lowest, but they're spot on - so no surprises. Bottom line: Tim and his partner Mike do great, quality work. Sam is truly a Class Act…read more Having been through our fair share of harrowing and disappointing experiences with handymen and contractors in the past, we were extremely wary as we got started with our kitchen remodel planning process. As a matter of due diligence, we invited 10 contractors to propose a quote. For one, Sam's estimate was very competitive and reasonable (compared to other quotes). More importantly, he quickly grasped what our overall objectives were for the space, and proactively made some great suggestions that gave us the confidence that he was in sync with our requirements. As with most customers that go through a major remodel, my wife and I went back and forth on our choices for the cabinets and countertop, and not once did Sam flinch or pushback. On the contrary, there were certain additional items that were not part of our initial discussions (and estimate) that Sam voluntarily brought up and offered to do for us (at no additional cost) despite knowing that it would mean additional labor to him. Aware that we had wanted the remodel to be completed before Christmas as were hosting a party at home, Sam spent most of Christmas eve literally rolling up his sleeves and working non-stop for over 8 hours (without even meal breaks) and left only after he personally cleaned up the space. It is not always easy for small business owners to consistently put 'customer service' ahead of profits, but that is exactly what I observed of Sam, time and again. He did not accept the final payment until he was certain that we were 100% happy with the final outcome. I do not believe I have ever written such a long review for anyone, and that is hopefully a testimony to Sam's work. We cannot be more delighted with our new kitchen and I am happy to share some pictures. We look forward to working with Sam again on our future home projects.
