But this year, my significant other decided at the last minute to join me. While separately searching, we both found this gem, BarDew Valley Inn! And what a find it was! The owner, Perry, was exceptionally accommodating to us and the other guests. Our room, New Orleans, was absolutely stunning! The daily 9 am breakfasts were prepared with care and incredibly scrumptious. The house was beautiful and nightly movie nights in the Theater always the best way to top off the day. Perry is a wonderful, sociable, hospitable innkeeper!…read more BarDew Valley Inn is about 7-8 miles outside the Bartlesville city limits, about 45 minutes north of Tulsa and near the pioneer woman headquarters, for those who are into that. There are several themed suites. I stayed in the New York suite, which was a cleaner, more modern feel with several NYC motifs. There is also a New Orleans suite, a cowboy suite, and a French suite. He is currently working on an Asian themed suite. Each suite has its own bath and private entrance, as well as patio space to enjoy the evenings. There is wooded space and a pond out front with sitting areas. Very quiet and on a dead end, so no traffic. The rooms have comfy beds, wonderful, luxurious bedding, and a mattress warmer, which I loved! Each room has a refrigerator and Perry supplies bottled water, a keurig, coffee pods, glasses/cups, an ice bucket, extra blankets. A booklet with info on local restaurants and attractions. Everything you'd need! While I stayed here for work and kept to myself, Perry checked in with me often to make sure I didn't need anything. Other guests used the common areas more, like the movie room/game room and the kitchen. One night Perry built a fire in the fire pit. It would be a great place for people who want to socialize and meet new folks. Perry also makes breakfast every morning. I had to start work very early, so didn't partake, but other guests have raved about it. Perry really does open his home up to everyone and is very gregarious and gracious. It would be a great getaway for anyone wanting to explore the area. My suite was 139 a night, a great value.

An older TV in the room, but with plenty of channels. The Rudd hotel is the only hotel in town in Nowata, OK. The Silver Saddle is owned by the people who run The Rudd Hotel, but was closed at the time we visited. There is no ice machine on sight but you can go to Homeland Grocery Store for ice or anything else you need. Sonic Hamburgers is directly across the street.

We were about a month out from our trip to St. John when I started looking for rental cars. I knew…read moreI wanted a Jeep as they are fun and you need the 4WD to go to certain parts of the island. Everywhere was full and even though their website looks sketchy and doesn't have the ability to book, I emailed them and was able to get a reservation. I was skeptical that it would all work out, but it did. Their office location in Cruz Bay was convenient, and not too far out of the downtown, maybe a 5 minute walk. Everything was waiting for me and I was able to pick up my white Jeep 30 minutes early. The car was not 100% clean, but it worked out and sand is obviously an issue here. I took it by the vacuum place to do the best I could getting the sand out before returning it, avoiding the $75 cleaning fee that is at their discretion.

My daughter and I stayed here for a total of 11 days. The staff is exceptional and so friendly. We loved every day we stayed and were treated like family. Every time we returned from our day's activities, we were greeted with smiles, "hello ma'am", and overall joy. It was delightful. Rupes, Sweety and Meela of the front office staff were always extremely accommodating. They stored our luggage for 4 days while we traveled to Bhutan, arranged for a doctor to come to the hotel and give me my PCR test for travel, and negotiated cab rates for us. We both got a massage at the spa by Jinisha the spa attendant and enjoyed the using the gym, as it had all one needs to get a good workout. I will most certainly be staying at Baber Mahal whenever I visit Nepal. I love the hotel and the staff is what makes it like home. GO!
