Patio for the New Orleans Room
    Judy D.

My husband surprised me for our Anniversary to stay at the BarDew Valley Inn. This Bed and breakfast is an awesome getaway that has 4 different themed rooms to choose from. We stayed in the New Orleans room which was beautiful, looked like New Orleans. It is a very clean, and comfortable Inn. There is a smartphone charging station on the side table which was great for both of our phones and Apple Watches. Free high speed Wifi. The big ceiling fan had a remote to turn the fan and light off or on from the bed. The bed was very comfortable, the room has a big shower with many different shower heads. The owner is very personable, made our complimentary breakfast however we wanted it. Coffee was ready for us at 8 a.m with breakfast to follow. Each room has their own private patio. The grounds are gorgeous! You can take a walk by the good sized pond, sit in the gazebo or just stroll on the property, which has many trees and foliage. I truly cannot say enough about this place, we will definitely be going back! I highly recommend this place for a romantic getaway or just a place to go to when you need to relax.

We happened upon this place from the pioneer woman's website on places to stay near by. It did NOT disappoint. We had a late arrival, because of the long drive up on Friday night. The BNB hosts were so friendly and helpful. We took a tour of the grounds with the host, had an amazing breakfast, and chewed the fat like distant relatives. The rooms were all themed and beautiful. The attention to detail for decor, and everything else, was top notch. We'll definitely make this a return spot in the months, and years to come. Thank you for a great experience!

    Awesome breakfast!

While I stayed here for work and kept to myself, Perry checked in with me often to make sure I didn't need anything.

The house and rooms are curated thoughtfully, with intention, and the whole house feels like a warm hug. From showing us all the Mabelle has to offer, giving advice on where to go and checking to be sure all is going well, he is the best of the best. The hotel is a converted home, and the living room is a great place to unwind. The entire hotel is full of beautiful furnishings, and has a rare warmth. The kitchen has lots of beverages and snacks, and everything is spotless throughout the entire home. Our room was extremely comfortable. Each room has different bed configurations so be sure the room you have fits your needs. Two of the rooms have bathrooms within the room. Ours was just outside our door. One of the things that amazed me was all of the little touches. I won't list them so the experience isn't spoiled, but James clearly put a lot of thought into making guests comfortable and welcome. I almost hate to write this review because it might then be hard to book a room when we return, but the experience was so extraordinary that I must do so. I have stated at the Pioneer Woman's Boarding House and Frontier Hotel. While they were both truly wonderful. Experiences, I will come back to The Mabelle on my next trip.

A nice employee named Hayley (sp) was there during our stay and she was very helpful. We checked in earlier than we planned to due to arriving in Tulsa earlier than expected from OKC. She was apologetic about not having a cheese plate or fudge ready. I didn't even know these things existed with the room, so apology accepted! Haha. She took us on a tour of the inn and did a great job of both detailing the history/current status and the amenities we had access to. Not too much later, she brought us the aforementioned cheese and fudge. Score! She also took care to note food allergies since they serve breakfast. I have none but my boyfriend is allergic to the Earth, so that's nice. We stayed in the Sage while we were there (Thursday night and Friday night, so two different prices). It's the only room that's not directly inside of the inn, so that was neat. It almost felt like a little cabin! It's attached but the entrance to it is outside while the other rooms are inside. It's a nice simple room. The bed is comfortable but I wouldn't rave about it. The only small downside is that this room doesn't have its own thermostat because it shares one with the Willow, the room it's attached to. Hayley set it for us to a very cool temp since it was hot out. It kept the room very cold. But we were also out adventuring most of the time. If we weren't, then we would just burrow under the blankets in bed. So no big deal, but I'm sure there are more picky people out there. Every morning, breakfast is served in the dining room at 9am. It feels a little awkward almost since the inn is so small and the breakfast is guests only. They're cooking just for you! The first morning, it was only us there. There was fruit, pancakes, and a plate of bacon/sausage/eggs. It was good stuff. Oddly good bacon. Second morning there was fruit, waffles, and breakfast potatoes/fritatas/bacon. The second was definitely the best. My boyfriend hates eggs; they did something to his family, I think. So they double downed on his bacon. Lucky dog. But the fritatas were great, so his loss. Random notes: - The TVs have a lot of channels but the TVs are tiny; maybe that's a hint to spend time with your travel partner. - ^ Speaking of which, the second floor has a drawer of toiletries that includes toothpaste, shampoo/conditioner/soap, deodorant, and *ahem* condoms ~an assortment~. Some other stuff, too. - The gated exit you use during the day is closed at some point in the evening. You'll drive out the entrance and return through the entrance using the code on your room key during later outings.
