They did have a charge associated with having the architect come out that was very small. I can't remember what it was, but it will be baked into the ultimate project payments. Did I shop around? Well... no. These guys have done a lot of work on my house. They have amazing integrity, good pricing from my past shopping around, I can trust them with my dogs and we are mimicking the amazing front porch design they created for me so it just makes sense to stay with a company I trust. The first two places tried to sell me a huge job to dig trenches all along the perimeter and put drains it. Ben immediately told me that wasn't the source of the issue. It was rod holes and a crack in the walls that was letting some moisture in. I had to convince him to quote me a larger job, which he did do (just to be safe) and he was still the cheapest quote from the bunch. I chose him not because of the price (although he was the cheapest) but because he was the most knowledgeable and was not trying to sell me up. To the contrary he was talking me out of the job. It took longer then expected but I'm not upset about that since they seemed to have done a thorough job and were very attentive when I pointed out areas I wanted addressed. Gutter Move - We had our gutter (going from the 2nd floor to the ground) moved from one side of the deck to the side of the house. They got it done in a couple hours and it looks great! They even paint matched the spot on our siding that was discolored from having a gutter in front of it for many years! Master Bathroom Remodel - An almost total re-do of our master bathroom space down to the studs. They replaced the drywall, the floor, the tub, shower walls, ceiling, installed a medicine cabinet, cleaned up the trim for the window, fixed the piping, moved the vanity and replaced it, and probably some other things that I forgot!
