Sleiman Electric - ChargePoint EV charger installation done by our electricians in Birmingham MI

    Sleiman Electric

    (2 reviews)

I hired Joe at Sleiman Electric (Jonathan was the electrician) to come check out my rental property…read morebefore I put it on the market to make sure it was "up to code" and safe for the new buyers. I did this before even listing the property for sale. PLEASE NOTE after having problems with Sleiman Electric, I tried finding their business address (none on website, invoices or business card) and also searched LICENSED ELECTRICIANS on the state website - Try it yourself - they are not here. Don't believe me? Check yourself on the state website : https://www.michigan.gov/statelicensesearch/ Joe came out and did a report showing what needed to be done. He said the house needed to be grounded and that I needed a GFCI installed in the kitchen and bathroom). I paid him to do the work. He claims he followed guidelines for electricians by installing GFCI's within 6 feet of any water source in the house. Problem 1: He never applied for a permit to do the work with the City of Inkster. That is $90. As a professional, standard of practice for an electrician is to know this and do it as part of the job. Problem 2 : He missed installing GFCI's in the wet bar downstairs as well as the electrical outlet for the kitchen garbage disposal (sloppy work). When I called Joe to ask him to fix the problem with the permit that he negligently didn't not file, he told me he would not pay it even though I hired him to do the job correctly. He also offered no excuse or legitimate reason for not completing the work I now have to do delaying my real estate transaction because of basic incompetence. Thanks Joe. I recommend finding another electrician for work if you want someone quality and honest. This is report of the City of Inkster after he did his work showing the mistakes.
