Romo's is a company with very high work ethic and we absolutely recommend it. Two years ago we…read morehired Hobert Pools to re-plaster our pool with Luna Quartz [Key West]. Hobert subcontracted the plaster to Romo's who did a great job but Hobert performed the start up which, due to incorrect practices [hot start not recommended by the manufacturer, not testing/adding calcium and not using a sequestering agent during the pool fill up] resulted in an etched plaster with pool dust. Subsequently, when we called for the plaster issues Hobert incorrectly diagnosed the problem as scale and recommended another acid bath which further torched the plaster. After the total lack of service from Hobert, Romo's Pool and Plastering took it upon themselves to buff the plaster that now looks a lot better as the etching is gone. We are very pleased with Romo's professional attitude and appreciate very much their efforts to put this plastering nightmare to an end. Also as we understand, Romo's did the work on their own without compensation from Hobert.

I have had a very poor experience with Steve and Luxe Lagoon so far (we're still in the middle of…read moreit!). We were promised our job would "take 2, at most 3 weeks", but we're going into week 10 with no end in sight. Our pool and backyard were completely trashed for 7+ weeks. Every week we'd hear "we'll be there tomorrow", and every week there was a new excuse why he couldn't be here. Stevie admitted that our project wasn't his priority. He asked for 75% of the money upfront and in good faith, we paid him (our mistake). I asked for my money back, but Stevie has refused. At this point, I'll dispute charges with my credit card company to try to recoup some of the lost money. We've tried to give Stevie the benefit of the doubt for weeks, but we have simply run out of patience. I'll update this post if there's any remediation/progress.
