Eh. Sadly I was very disappointed by my experience here. Maybe my expectations were high from all the wonderful things I'd heard and I was on this mission on finding the perfect bridesmaids dresses. Before you even go to the store, there is a consultation-type phone call & questionnaire about what you are looking for, colors, venue, what's available in the store, when the wedding is etc... because of this I expected to have a great appointment---everything seemed so prepared! From the moment I walked in, it was awkward. No greeting, so I'm just wandering around front of house. When a lady does come up she doesn't know ANYTHING about my appointment, what I'm looking for...etc. In my head I'm thinking, "why did I do that entire phone consultation and survey thingy??" She was so energy draining. Not very friendly or personable. Didn't ask me anything excpet "what about this?" "Or this?" "Or this?"....Pulling dresses that were no where close to what I liked and kind having this "oh well" attitude when we didn't find anything.... So sincerely I thanked her and left kind of bummed out :( Weirdly, I get this card thanking me for coming that said "I had so much fun helping you find bridesmaids dresses for you!" REALLY? DID YOU HAVE FUN? lol we barely talked and you didn't even care to read the info before I came to the store----- like if it was a great experience, the card would have been a nice touch, but this made the whole thing seem fake and disingenuous. After spending some time focusing on the bride, it was time for all of her maids to join in the fun. We hopped, skipped, and jumped our way down to Bella Bridesmaids after spending some time at White Magnolia. The bride knew what she had in mind and the girl (I forgot her name - gasp!) was able to point us in the right direction. We picked one bridesmaid to be the guinea pig for the first round of eliminations so we could narrow down the dress selection. After we got it down to a small handful, we started trying on the samples to figure out what we would like best. For this group (nine of us in total) it's not exactly possible to pick one dress. We have a couple...ummm...amply blessed (?) maids and several that can put on anything. We did pick a designer, so we know the fabric will be the same. When looking for unique, but classy gowns for my bridesmaids, I was referred to Bella Bridesmaids in Jacksonville. With all of my bridesmaids being out of state, I was worried that this boutique would not work due to the girls' need to be present. I was (thankfully) wrong. I had two of my bridesmaids in town this summer and we decided to make an appointment to check out Bella Bridesmaids. Upon us walking through the door, we were greeted with utter excitement from the employees and amazed by the large selection of gowns. We ventured throughout all of their gowns and found a variety that would best fit and accommodate the different sizes and shapes of my bridesmaids. The process was super easy and very professional. My BMs that we're present were able to get measured on the spot and my other BMs just had to provide their measurements through an online portal made only for my bridal party. The girls were able to upload their measurements and make payments via this on stop shop online portal. When the gowns arrived, the BMs were amazed by the comfort of the fabric and the (almost) perfect fittings. All of the BMs had little to no alterations needed for the gowns (mainly length needed hemmed, I have short friends). Overall, the color, styles, sizes, materials were perfect for my special day. All of my BMs felt beautiful in their gowns and even mentioned, "I'm going to wear this thing again!" which is a major compliment as many bridesmaids never wear their dresses again! The dresses at this store were beautiful and at an excellent price. However, the employees at the store were extremely rude. They did not even allow customers to try on dresses in the store. They also tried very hard to rush customers out of the door, and would only allow you to pay with cash. Ashley is the best!!! Our bride decided to order all of our bridesmaid dresses from here (the gorgeous Jenny Yoo Annabelle dress). We ordered several months ahead and we got them 2 weeks ahead of schedule. Ashley was patient with all of our questions and worked with me specifically when I ordered the wrong size and needed alterations. They don't do any alterations there, but I live in South Florida and she got me in contact with someone at the West Palm Beach store to get an tailor recommendation. She also offered to order extra fabric for me. She really went out of her way to make sure I was able to figure out my issues and I really appreciate that. She really didn't have any obligation to me after finalizing the sale and my receiving the dress. Never once did she make me feel like an idiot for not listening to her when I ordered my dress a little too small. Next time I know to trust her judgment and not my own! Apparently, this has been sitting in draft status for three years! I have worked with Ashley at Bella Bridesmaid twice--once as a bridesmaid and now as a bride myself and let me tell you, she and her store are FABULOUS! I don't even know why I looked for dresses for my girls anywhere else! Two of my bridesmaids and I spent a day running all over town looking at every bridal shop in Jacksonville and it was just sad how every other store had their bridesmaids dresses tucked away in a crowded corner in the back of the store. If that wasn't bad enough, it was difficult to get the staff's attention since the store was overrun with dozens of brides and bridesmaids also searching for their perfect dresses. Bella Bridesmaid was our last stop of the day and the experience was a complete 180. We loved that we were the only party in the store during our appointment and that the dresses were showcased beautifully, organized by style and color making it easy to immediately spot our favorites. There wasn't a question we had that Ashley didn't have the answer to--she even knew style numbers and available colors off the top of her head! When my best friend of 25 years decided to tie the knot, I was honored and a little scared at the thought of being the big MOH. I made an appointment (required) and showed up at Bella with a strapless bra and a camera; ready to try on every single Amsale dress they had. Well, they had them all, so I was there for about an hour. The girl who helped me, Ashley, was so sweet, patient, and helpful. She zipped up my dresses, pinned the big ones so they'd look right and offered to take pictures. It was actually a lot of fun! Once all the chickadees saw the pictures, we all agreed on one dress and began the task of ordering them. Again, Bella Bridesmaid made this a breeze. The owner, Ashley English (different Ashley from the girl who helped me before), pretty much took care of everything. She kept a constant e-mail loop going between herself, the bridesmaids, and the bride, and made sure everyone knew exactly what they were getting and when. All we had to do was measure ourselves! My bridesmaids and I had an appointment for over a month with Bella. We arrived and I explained to the "consultant" our needs. Five bridesmaids, just need same color and all of them could choose their style. But my bridesmaids range is sizes 6-18. The "consultant" was not any help (did not tell me her name), was short with us, and did not offer any suggestions as to how all of my bridesmaids could try on their size. I (the bride) did arrive 10 min late but I called to inform them. The consultant said our appointment was only until 11:00 which I did not realize we were limited to that short of time. She said "well we emailed you and called you." I replied, "correct, and I also called you back twice to confirm my appointment but was not informed it was only 1 hour with five girls." After that she only showed us one dress that we asked to see and then went to the back. She did not thank us for coming in nor did she apologize for the appointment not working. I had to thank her on our way out. When you're spending hundreds of dollars on dresses, you need White glove service, and it was not provided here at all. Maybe it was this particular consultant, as she seemed like she did not want to be there and was annoyed with us. Pretty dress but bad customer service. read more

I had 5 maids with me and Ashley was very patient and willing to let them try on tons of styles. Speaking of style, Ashley herself has great taste. Because of that I completely trusted her opinion and felt she was always very honest with me. She was incredibly helpful and responsive (something I have been disappointed with as a whole with other planning aspects). The dresses are on the higher end of price but they are worth it! The quality and selection (not to mention great shopping experience) are something your maids will thank you for. There are TONS of dresses along the same price range as Jcrew. Some might even be less. I did different styles of Amsale dresses and can honestly say the girls are actually HAPPY about their dresses and feel very pretty in them. I haven't gotten my dress in yet, and I'll update once I do. But I had a wonderful experience at Bella yesterday and wanted to make sure they got credit for what they do. I am a groomslady living far from the rest of the wedding party, so I was given colors and told to pick something out that I liked. I'd been to a couple of bridal shops and felt mostly ignored, as they'll only get a single bridesmaid dress sale from me instead of a whole bridal party plus a wedding dress. At Bella, everything was different. I'd left the thing a little late and was cutting it close on the timeline, and the other shops all wanted me to pay a rush fee (even though I was still over 4 months out). Lacey at Bella was careful to work with my price point, whether that was with rush fees or without. She found me a dress that would ship in time without rush fees and was well under my price point. She also had great suggestions for style and color, and, as I was the only person in the shop (by appointment only), I never felt rushed or neglected. I'm soooo glad we found this little hidden gem in San Marco!!! There were so many options of dresses in different styles, colors, fabrics etc. All the dresses were of great quality and looked very expensive with reasonable prices.
