This is an order at the counter, they deliver to your table kind of place. The eating area is large for a cafe, and it's pretty. After choosing our items, my husband did the ordering, and I picked a table. We ordered La Firenze and La Venezia. They only had half of La Firenze left, so I got a cup of soup - Wild Rice. They have "help yourself" water, so I went and they were out. The counter was super busy, so I waited. I went again, it was still out, so I asked for some. The lady was helpful, but sarcastic (I'm SUPER sarcastic, and I've found it doesn't work well in a service environment. I have to just be straightforward and nice.) La Venezia was SO GOOD!! La Firenze was good, but nothing compared to La Venezia-it's flavors kind of explode in your mouth. The wild rice soup was okay, it had lots of wild rice, which was good, but the flavor was a little dull. The extra seating area is really nice - has lots of light, well decorated. Such a cute little coffee shop in downtown Park Rapids. Full coffee menu and a large food menu as well. Breakfast served all day, paninis, antipasti, soups, and baked goods. The staff is remarkably friendly, especially the owner, she is a gem and makes you feel so welcome. Bella Caffe is maybe the only spot in Park Rapids to get a decent cup of coffee. It's a large space with sandwiches and baked goods, albeit no vegan options, sadly. I got a latte with their homemade oat milk ($4.50). While it's awesome that they make their own oat milk, it was too sweet. Also, it barely registered in my latte. If this place added more vegan options and upped their game on the oat milk, it would get another star. That said, it's a good spot for tea or coffee. read more

I did this little spot in Park Rapids and wish I had discovered it sooner. The food - far better than I expected The drink - fresh and tasty, served with a smile The pricing - fair, very fair The service - extremely pleasant and genuine I was glad to see such a diverse lunch menu and enjoyed my sandwich. I was even happier to see the assorted cookies and or desert type options as well as I wad craving some sweets big time. I do not drink coffee and the Café offered several alternatives, I went with my staple of iced tea which is fairly easy for places to get wrong. Not here, good tea makes for a happy me! They have a gluten free option that they make to order! I had the #5 on GF bread and it was savory and delicious! The other people in my party enjoyed their paninis. They also have a selection of coffee drinks. I got a dark roast on tap and it hit the spot! The staff was helpful and informative about their menu and the various option they had! Ordered the La Firenze for myself yum! 2 kids grilled cheese meals. Only Change would be chips instead of animals crackers on the kids meals or carrots something along those lines. Food was yummy. Liked I could get a glass of wine with the meal. read more

This place is basically the extension of the 3rd street market, and the lady who runs them is fantastic. So nice and accomodating. My wife had a sandwich that was made with the wild rice and cranberry bread. She loved it so much we came back to see if we could buy a loaf...she went way out of her way to make sure we got one and even brought one from the freezer as she knew we were going back to Kansas City. Just visited the Bella Cafe for the first time with family, and enjoyed it. They serve coffee drinks, and have about 8 different sandwiches ($5-8 each, or around $5.50 for half), 2 different salads ($7.50 for full size, half for $6.50), and pastries and desserts. They have gluten free bread if you need it. I ordered the Chicken Spinach salad, which had cubed chicken, red onion, roasted red peppers, walnuts, cranberries, blue cheese and a Maple Mustard Dressing. I got the full size, and it was still small. It came with a slice of crostini and fruit slice. It was okay, but not outstanding and I would not order it again. The big draw here is the venue. It is a charming coffee shop in Park Rapids, and the perfect place to meet family and friends. Quiet music, very clean, friendly staff. For those handicapped, it is easy to get inside, and there are a few tables on the main level. Take care if going up to the second level - the stairs are narrow and a bit steep. But once there, it is an enclosed sun room, with windows all around. Great for getting some sun and people watching. The bathroom is up a few steps and then in the back of the building, and is shared with 3rd Street Market next door. Spotlessly clean. Overall, I would go back and try something else. And certainly return to try coffee drinks and pastries. Sweet, friendly place. read more

One of the best mochas you will have in your life. They even use chocolate whipped cream on top. The baked goods are all great and homemade.
