Drinking drip while working on a new drawing in one of Nordic Coffee's booths.

Living in the middle of nowhere Minnesota, to say that I am delightfully surprised with this coffee shop would be an understatement! :) The food and the drinks here are excellent. I was shocked when the flavor of their espresso, their drip is great, and I love the little pitchers they use to give you the half-n-half! :) Most coffee shops that serve food and coffee are lacking in one of the departments, but this place serves both well! Plus, there are SO many food and drink options, with salads, teas, Lotus Drinks, specialty coffee beverages, and fresh sandwiches. All of the workers are polite. This is definitely the kind of place that you want to sit down at. I wouldn't describe this place as super fast, but that is no bother! No matter how busy it is, you still receive the same high-quality product with your drinks and food. As for seating, bring a large group, or come alone; there are SO many comfortable seating options here, from booths and comfortable leather chairs. Every time I come here, the food, drinks, and the workers here exceed my expectations! It is totally a hidden gem in Menahga, Minnesota. :-)

I ordered a chai latte with oat milk and no foam. About a quarter of it was foam and even that wasn't to the top. As expensive as drinks are, it make a difference not getting that last quarter. I should have just paid for a small. I gave 2 stars because the latte tasted pretty good.

Kahvila, which means "coffee shop" in Finnish, is a fun little hidden gem in small-town Menahga. It feels like a big city spot, but despite modern decor, still embraces the town's Finnish history andheritage. It's not just a coffee shop. Their extensive menu includes wraps, salads, sandwiches and flatbread pizzas. Their interesting flavor combinations left us wanting to come back and try more. Service was friendly and prices were reasonable. Highly recommended!

Amazing coffee, outstanding scones and exceptional service! It's so great that Menahga has a DRIVE THROUGH coffee shop that truly does serve great coffee. If you want to sit down and enjoy your coffee, the ambience is relaxed with a hip, upscale vibe. plenty of places to plug in your device and of course WiFi. If you're there for lunch the sandwiches are EXCELLENT! Go get some coffee! Seriously, put your phone down and go there. Right now. Coffee. Get some.

Casual sitting areas for hanging out. May need to work from here in the future. They also have many tables with chairs for eating.

My elderly mother recently moved to Park Rapids, and when she visited me in the Twin Cities, she brought along a Dad's pizza - good stuff. BTW, I love the humor in the written baking instructions! LOW CARB: I was thrilled to discover that it's easy to eat low carbohydrate carnivore style at Dad's. They have a Keto Pizza with no crust. (They also offer a cauliflower crust if, for some reason, you can't live without stuffing some plants in your gullet.) The crust-less pizza features all of your toppings, artfully layered in an aluminum baking pan. Of course, I got the meat lover's version of the Keto pizza. I noticed they layered the bottom with slices of ham too. Very clever. I loved it. If I lived closer, I'd be treating myself to the crust-less Keto pizza every week. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and I'd eat there again any time. Support a local family owned business and eat some Dad's Halfway There Pizza. Thumbs up! -Maxx

Rocky's caught my eye, and I'm glad it did. From the outside it's an unassuming place, but once you step in you're greeted with that old-school small-town charm that's getting harder to find. Think comfortable booths, classic décor, and the kind of atmosphere that feels like it's been bringing people together for years. The hospitality was outstanding. It seemed like every person who walked through the door was either greeted by name or welcomed like they had been coming there forever. You could tell this wasn't just a restaurant, it was part of the community. The menu is packed with comfort food. Along with burgers, sandwiches, baskets, and hearty entrées, they offer a great lineup of specialty pizzas, build-your-own options, fresh salads, and a smorgasbord of appetizers from cheese curds and onion rings to wings, mozzarella sticks, and other favorites that made it hard not to order more than I needed. The whole menu felt thoughtfully put together, like the owners actually know what people enjoy eating instead of trying to be like every other place. I ordered a pizza and salad, and both were excellent. The pizza had a flavorful crust, plenty of toppings, and tasted like the kind of pie people keep coming back for. The salad was fresh and a perfect complement on a hot summer day. One of my favorite parts, though, was simply looking around the room. There were families sharing lunch, couples on midday dates, retirees catching up over coffee, and friends enjoying a meal together. It was a snapshot of small-town Minnesota at its best. If you find yourself in Park Rapids, whether you're headed to the lakes, Itasca, or just passing through.....Rocky's is worth the stop. Great food, genuine hospitality, and the kind of place that reminds you why local restaurants are often the best part of the trip

We wanted to start off with the scotch eggs, but they were not temporarily available so we had the fried pickles which came very quickly. I am a pickle fan by nature and the fried pickles were good. They came with a spicy sauce which was a find complement but a little too spicy so we got an order ranch dressing as well. My understanding is the pickles are a little thicker than they used to be, but I was fine with what we got. Shortly after getting the appetizer we placed our order for entrées. Unfortunately, this is where things deteriorated, apparently due to problems in the kitchen. The entrées were delayed by 30-45 minutes. We eventually got a side salad and a Caesar salad. Neither salad was anything special, but nurishing. The artichoke pizza finally came and was quite good. The pizza was an artichoke and spinach paste base with chicken, caramelized onions, and mozzarella on top. This was hot and flavors a lot of artichoke, chicken, caramelized onion, and mozzarella were all distinct. The tavern burger that came next was plentiful and tasted good, but was slightly overdone from the temperature requested. The tater tots with the burger were warm, but could have definitely been hotter. The service throughout was mostly attentive, but clearly struggling with the kitchen service issues and didn't have much to tell us through most of the meal. The restaurant was busy but not overcrowded and they had plenty of seating so I don't think this service is typical and I think we got there on a bad day. Had we been given an option a half hour into our seating we might've skipped the entrées and just ordered more appetizers if they had been quicker.

This place doesn't actually brew their own beer which was a bit of a bummer. It is actually what I would call a taphouse. Nevertheless they have an insanely good tap beer list. There are many styles of beer to choose from sure to please any palate. They also offer craft cocktails on tap. The decor is beautiful. A very open, inviting, and comfortable space. There are a handful of tables in the front as you walk in and a bar in the back with an exposed kitchen beyond that. We ordered wings, nachos, and pizza. Wings were cooked nicely and the sauce was flavorful but not quite as described. Nachos had a beautiful presentation but were cold. Pizza was OUTSTANDING. This place is super new and has a good base going. I fully expect them ironing out some of the issues with the food. Staff were all very fun and friendly. Didn't have to wait to order food or drinks.
