I've been flopping around to different stylists for about 2 years now since my long time stylist…read morechanged careers. My daughter came to this salon and I liked her hair so I made an appt a week and a half in advance to see the same stylist. The salon is located in a strip mall a few miles from my house. When I arrived for my appt a stand prompted me to sanitize my hands before walking further which I appreciated. Any business that takes Covid seriously gets kudos from me. There was some confusion at my arrival as apparently I was booked too close to another appt and was offered another stylist which I declined. I did ask if another stylist could wash my hair in the meantime, simply because as someone with a chaotic schedule I can't afford the time for an unproductive wait. They obliged and said they were going to suggest it and even threw in a $10 deep conditioning treatment "on the house". The wait wasn't as long as expected and my stylist asked me some very important questions in an effort to get to know me and my hair. I liked her immediately and was happy with my results. The cut could use a little more tweaking around the face but overall I'm pleased and will definitely return to her for some other services. I had inquired prior to my visit on how much a wash/cut/style was and was told $23. I do have mid length hair which "might" explain the charge of $32, or they could have charged me for the "on the house treatment". Unfortunately I didn't notice the difference till after I was home and looked at my credit card receipt. It does make me feel a certain type of way and thinking back when prompted for payment I was not told the cost verbally. Going back I will question it, but either way the $10 difference is not unreasonable. I really liked my stylist and will go back to her. I hesitate so early on in our "relationship" to declare her the "one" as many factors will go into that. Several reasons prevented me from giving the salon 4 stairs. It has a rather sterile and generic feeling and at least one of the stylists seemed less than professional. It could have been just a personality difference as I found her too boisterous and thus annoying. It wasn't that she did anything to me personally but her voice was extremely loud, she was chatty, and her appearance was less than professional. The scheduling conflict was another factor. Had I been forced to wait w/out being washed, after I scheduled an appt so long in advance I probably wouldn't have stayed. Also the price difference as outlined above. I do kudos to their strict Covid policy (hand sanitizing, no handling of cash, masks required, and wiping down chairs between customers), as well as my stylists attention to me and my hair goals. Things to know: you can only wait outside if not being worked on, also there's a small fee to adding the tip on a credit card.
