Bella is nothing short of amazing! I saw her for chronic neck and back and the relief she provided was nothing short of a miracle. Before seeing Bella, I had received treatment from M.D.s, physical therapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and traditional massage therapists. While some of these treatments helped, nothing came close to being as effective as Bella's rolfing. I've had a couple dozen people work on my body over the years. Bella is the best! She has a deep knowledge of the body and intuitive sense for how to facilitate its healing. When I first saw her, my body was extremely stiff and always in pain. I would get trigger points (knots) the size of golf balls in my back and neck and had scar tissue from previous injuries throughout my body, which restricted my range of motion. I had nearly resigned myself to a life of chronic pain until I stumbled upon rolfing in Cathryn Jakobson Ramin's book Crooked. I decided to give it a try and was extremely lucky to have found Bella. Bella is a miracle worker. Seriously - she will change your life. After many, many visits to chiropractors, acupuncturists and massage therapists, I was done with temporary solutions. Bella is kind, compassionate and has magical healing abilities. She also has a killer sense of humor, which really comes in handy when she's working on a particularly painful area. Rolfing is definitely intense and will leave you in a bit of temporary pain, but Bella will give you little exercises to do between sessions to minimize any discomfort. The long term results FAR outweigh the short term pain - I highly recommend it. Bella is a miracle worker. I am currently a second year Chiropractic student and I have taken my cousin everywhere from Chiropractors to Physical Therapists to Spine Specialists at Stanford and none have been able to make as big of an improvement in my cousin health as Bella. My cousin has been suffering from chronic low back pain for over 4 years to the point where at 30 years old she is unable to walk or stand completely straight as well as sciatica which keeps her up a minimum of 3 hours per night. I was so scared to try Rolfing! Everyone I knew who had done it before told me it was going to be so painful that I would cry. Bella is so super nice and puts you at ease immediately. She also seems to have a sixth sense about how much pressure is just enough. I have had chronic upper back tension for years and although massages helped it would get tight again within days. I highly recommend Rolfing to anyone who has chronic pain. It really helps release everything and keeps the pain away. I am an unofficial massage whore and Bella has the most talented hands around. A definite bonus is how much (or little) she charges. Do your research... her prices are well below the norm for Rolfing. Every time I leave her office I feel 100% better! I first went to Bella for ongoing pain in my neck and shoulder that I hadn't been able to get rid of after a car accident. I work sitting at a desk and by the end of the day I would always be sore, often in pain. That's not the case anymore, thanks to Bella. More recently, I had a sciatica problem that was causing an issue with my leg and she fixed that too!
