I decided to try Katherine as my acupuncturist because my old practitioner had retired and Katherine had wonderful reviews.

Dr Short told me I have one leg that is shorter than the other, prescribed a heel lift to correct the uneveness which was the underlying cause of my scoliosis, and gave me a series of treatments to bring my spine back into alignment. That has been over a year and a half ago and today is the first time I have been back with any back pain. Just a couple of adjustments and I am on my way again!! Dr, Short uses a non force adjustment method with a tool called an activator which applies a specific amount of force directly to the discs of the spine that taps them back into proper alignment. None of the twisting, cracking movements of the older style of adjustments. This is just right for me!! He has opened up my range of movement and removed my pain.

The atmosphere is welcoming and clean and his technique has worked with me over the years far better than any other He has relieved me from a variety of issues: shoulder and neck pain, hip and back misalignments and rib subluxation. For years I frequented a very busy and popular Chiropractic office with unpleasant staff and always crowded. I was always leery of the invasive "bone cracking adjustments" especially on my neck and they never worked for very long. Dr. Short's technique is gentle and far more effective. When I follow his advice, I am pain and symptom free for a long time. I have had wonderful experiences with Dr. Short and HIGHLY recommend his chiropractic services.

I used to come here when Dr. Heinz was there. I would get cortisol injections in my lumbar spine. I…read morefelt like I was treated well. Like I was a person. I felt like they were sympathetic to my issues and sympathetic to my pain. I just recently got a procedure done, and they moved the actual surgeries to the St. Vincent building instead of where they did them before. I totally felt like just a number for them. I did not feel like they were very sympathetic to my pain, or my anxiety. The nurse that did my iv was very sweet and kind. For my initial consultation the person who examined me was super nice, and down to earth. They are the only reason I am currently giving this place 3 stars instead of one. I have real issues that are extremely painful, and these shots help if done correctly. I suggest anyone thinking about getting them done then they should. Especially if you are living with chronic pain. However you will want to go to a place that makes you feel like a person and not a number. With that said maybe it was an off day for the Dr. So I will try it with her one more time. Hopefully the next time around I will feel like my issues actually matter instead of feeling like a number in an assembly line. I also made a request after my consultation for big John to help with my procedure, but they didn't take my request seriously and I said some random person helping the Dr. Instead of him. I have a very serious anxiety disorder I let them all know a head of time. I explained to them that he was always very good to me, and I wanted him for a specific reason. The person who checked me after my consultation said she would make it happen if he still worked there. He does, but they did not give me him. I was saddened by the lack of attention they gave. I always try to give people a second chance. I am giving them one more shot to fix this, and if they don't my rating stays, and my business will go elsewhere. Even if it means that I have to go to Albuquerque to get it done.

RI but they didn't reply to X-ray associates. For them to send them the referral for me to have an MRI I live in Los Lunas, and I had to drive over here twice to not be able to have an MRI done my shoulder is killing me. My boyfriend dislocated his knee in a snowboarding accident, and we were referred here. We were walk-in patients the first time we went and met with the Physician's Assistant, Dr. Cook, who was thorough, and even pointed out elements of my BF's knee to us on the MRI. We were told to come back in 2 weeks to meet with their knee specialist - Dr. Gossman, and at that point we could also hopefully start PT. Dr. Gossman walked into the room and immediately began to interrogate me as to who I was: I introduced myself, but he wanted to know my relation to the patient - which I don't really see as any of his business. He poked a few places on my boyfriend's knee, which were obviously very painful, and then he sat down and asked him what he wanted to discuss with him about his knee. He never once asked my boyfriend how much pain he was in - currently, or since his last visit. My boyfriend also told Dr. Gossman that the brace he had was ill-fitting, and that he would like another one, and Dr. Gossman flat out said, "no", and told my BF that he needed to wear the brace 24/7 and not to work - at all. Dr. Gossman also asked why we were back in the office so soon, and after spending 5 minutes with us, told us to come back in 2 weeks. This orthopedic group is supposedly the most popular orthos in town, but after a visit with Dr. Gossman - I cannot, for the life of me, understand why. As we were checking out, the receptionist even remarked to us, "done already? My, that was fast." We called back to cancel the followup appointment and were told by the office manager that Dr. Gossman cannot refuse a patient a new brace. She apologized and tried to get us to see another one of their doctors, but by this point, the BF was done with Dr. Gossman, and make an appointment somewhere else. The new doctor was totally appalled that my BF had not started PT by this point in his injury. This new doc knows Dr. Gossman and said, "he should have started you in physical therapy weeks ago," and told us that he has told Dr. Gossman before that he cannot be so dismissive to his patients. The new doctor was also shocked that my BF had not been given another brace, as the one he currently was wearing was not fitting properly and even starting to come apart. Needless to say - the new doctor did his job, and Dr. Gossman did absolutely nothing, but seemed happy to schedule us for more appointments. Anyone considering Dr. Gossman should take their business elsewhere.
