The young lady didn't even look up to make eye contact. I walked over to the counter to ask another associate a question--she was much sweeter and more approachable. She turned to the first young lady to confirm if the two products I picked out could be used together. The response I got was a dismissive, "Yes, I guess," which felt rude and uncertain. I had to ask if she really knew, because it felt like she either didn't or just didn't want to be bothered. When I mentioned calling my cousin to double-check, the same young lady finally said, "Hold on, I wouldn't use that particular powder with the other product." That's the kind of guidance I needed from the beginning--especially because they carry items I haven't seen in other beauty supply stores. The customer service was poor and the prices were too high for the lack of support. I won't be returning.

I went back to exchange it, and as I was walking in, three young black men were also approaching. One stepped back and opened the door for me and then they walked in. As I'm at the counter making my exchange, the owner came out of nowhere (I hadn't seen him the first time I went) and rudely told the boys they needed to leave. I was the only other customer in the store. The owner told the young men that they had to leave because the sign on the door says, "2 students at a time". He was nasty about it. The "sign" on the door is literally a loose leaf piece of paper with some writing with a marker. He never told the young men that there were only 2 allowed in at a time. He simply told them to get out. This is where I jump in to defend the young men. It is Saturday. There was no one else in the store. They weren't bothering anybody. They genuinely looked confused. After a little back and forth between me and the owner, I told the cashier to refund me my money because if they weren't allowed to shop there, I wouldn't either. I told the young men to put back the one item they had and that we were all leaving and we did. The owner ran off to the back room like a coward. I left but I was still stewing, so I went back to confront him and recorded this time. LET'S TAKE A STANCE AND NOT SHOP THERE!!!
