We knew we would get a decent meal as we know the chain, and Queensway didn't disappoint, up our arrival no booking just a walk in, we were greeted by Charmaine who allowed us to choose a qui table in the corner and gave us time to peruse the menu, once we had made our selection very quickly received our starters and again the same with the main, very tasty and able to add the garlic bread I forgot to order, extremely attentive but not over the top, very happy with our meal, so much so we intended to return the following evening too, du to the convenience and staff efficiency and tasty food , plus not overly busy or loud and bonus not having to wait for a table either read more

Service is really good they are very friendly and attentive. Place is clean and did not wait that long for the food to come out While the garlic flatbread offered by our server was delightful, the main dishes left much to be desired. Regrettably, the calamari had a distinctly fishy aftertaste, and similar issues were present in the lasagna and pollo cacciatore pasta. The flavors seemed off, particularly with the sauce in the lasagna, and the pasta dishes were just average and not something I would be inclined to order again. read more

They have both pizza and pasta for those looking for a gluten-free selection and they have a large variety within those subsections. I reviewed the other Bella Italia in Bayswater that's only about a block away. Well, now I'm reviewing this one and I think this location is so much better than the other one down the street. Whenever I come to this location I consistently get better customer service each time. Since they're both Bella Italias, the food is pretty consistent. The great thing about this location is that they also have specials. I also like that this particular location because they have a heated outdoor seating space which is nice for even the chillier of days. Very slow service(but friendly service), food is great! Came on a Monday evening. There are night specials. On mon - thurs they have 2 course for (£10.95) as well as other features. Myself I got the curvy spagetti that was featured. It was great. First time trying curvy spagetti, had a mix of everything in it like chicken and sausage. My hubby got a seafood linguine (pretty average). We got apps as well, he had a very interesting app called whitebait and it looked Iike fries but it is actually deep fried fish, very good. I got the mushroom risotto ball, was hoping it was more cheesy. Came in 4 balls. It was great as an app. We ordered a glass a white wine as well as a chocolate torte for dessert. Dessert was superb, warm and sweet with gelato. It took us a while to get the attention of the server, very slow to get our food. But the server was quite friendly to us. Will come again! read more

I had very low expectations since I knew it was a chain. (A second Bella Italia is steps away down the street.) But I was starving, lazy, and just wanted to eat some pasta. Service was nice, but then again I was a freak and eating dinner at 4:45pm. I had a glass of wine and a plate of fusilli with spinach, mushroom, and chicken in a gorgonzola sauce. The pasta and the sauce were completely tasteless and texture a tiny bit too mushy. Toppings were pretty good although I had to ration out the meager portion of chicken over the course of the meal. :) Decently cute decor inside and outdoor seating if you want it. Prices are probably too high, but not worth making a fuss over. Not quite deserving of three stars, but honestly, I will probably end up going again at some point. This little restaurant was a huge disappointment to me. The service was pretty good and our waitress was sweet, but the pizza was really bad, like embarrassingly bad. The food seriously reminded me of the times that I've microwaved a pizza that wasn't supposed to be microwaved- just not good. What a freaking dissapointment. I have always liked Bella Italia but they seem to have all gone from my local towns so I try to eat there whenever I see one when I'm out and about. This restaurant was nice perhaps a few too many tables in the available space but it wasn't too busy when I went so it wasn't a problem. Our waitress was good and made suggestions and gave opinions which is all too rare in many restaurants especially the chain ones. Both our meals were good and we took advantage of their very reasonable lunch menu. Overall I would recommend it as a nice affordable place for a meal. read more

Bella Italia is a chain of Italian restaurants across the country. The one in Queensway is no different from the others and there's a sense of familiarity in the brightly coloured interior and the italian posters dating decades ago. The atmosphere was really cosy and the staff were friendly and seemed to be more caring than they are at other restuarants. The menu is the same across all restaurants, although the specials change on a daily basis. The restaurant's greatest attraction during lunch time is their set menu, where you can choose two courses for £7.95. The choices change on a regular basis and the variety of dishes means that there is something for everyone. The main menu has a wide choie of pastas and pizzas for reasonable prices, and they also offer main meals. The portions are just about right, not too small, but didn't fill you up too much that there was no room for dessert. Although it is part of a chain, it does still retain a sense of individuality and I would definitely recommend it for an enjoyable meal with friends or family. read more

We totally regret going here. Service was awful, we were there for over 15 minutes before our order was taken. Then we waited another 20 minutes for our food to arrive. Our waiter literally dropped it off and disappeared. I made the mistake of asking the busboy for some grated Parmesan cheese for my husbands meal. He was pleasant and got it right away. However, I watched in horror as he put down the wet rag he was wiping tables with and grabbed the block of cheese. I had to send my food back to the kitchen (something I never ever do) because it wasn't even close to being edible. The shrimp was way overdone and dish was nothing like it was described on the menu. By the time we flagged an employee down about my meal, my husband was almost finished with his. They remade my dish which came back better then the 1st attempt but, far from tasty. The bill for 2, was about 55 pounds. A total waste of money and time. If you want really good Italian food, do yourself a favor and avoid this place. There are 2 Bella Italia places on the same street about 200m apart, i thought that was kind of odd. The food was so so. I had spaghetti Bolognese, which was ok. Decent sized portions, but nothing special. The servers were lacking as we had to ask several times for things like parmesan cheese and olive oil. I don't think I'd go back again, but I left satisfied. Filled my Italian fix in a foreign country that wasn't Italy. read more
