My sister, sister-in-law and I went today for the "Pamper me Thea" package today and WOW, best spa day ever! I can't decide which service was the best but I can tell you I will be back again and again. It's a small place, perfect intimate group, where you will be greeted by Mike who will welcome you and then take you from your various treatment rooms throughout the day. I am enraged with this spa. My fiancé has booked a spa day for me and my sister as a surprise for my 50 birthday and it has turned into a nightmare. He booked the appointment yesterday and this lady sold him this queen for a day package. This was supposed to be for next week which will be my birthday. I found out today and told him I wanted something else and asked him to cancel the spa appointment. He called them today and was told that it was booked through a third party and there will be zero refunds. I asked my fiancé if they even explained the return policy and he said no. What kind of a merchant charge consumer 100% of their hard earned money which was around 1200 and the service was never given. We cancelled one week in advance. I told her I will dispute the charge and write a bad review. He did not signed anything. There was no service rendered and we will fight this to the end. This place is a crook. 11/28/2024 this Bella Michelle is unethical when it comes to business. As I have mentioned in my google bad review, my fiancé did not asked for gift certificate. The business did not want to refund to us and came up with the excuse that it was a gift certificate purchase. Anyway the credit card company has been informed of this and will dispute the charges. I read the reviews before I booked my appointment. And thought I'd give it a try. I'm searching for a new place for mani/pedi. The nail tech was great - I'm very satisfied with the quality of the service. The poor rating is due to the bizarre experience. The photos don't show the front door - it's nearly impossible to find from the parking lot, and there were creepy people hanging around outside. There's a doorbell you have to ring to gain entry because they keep the door locked to keep the creepy people out and wait for it - I guess it keeps the clients in..... The place is jammed with product and furniture and is quite unattractive. I received one of the best manicures and pedicures ever. Surprise - when I went to check out - there's a 4% service charge added to my Visa charge since I didn't pay cash. What is this a food truck????? This is supposed to be a classy spa - of course they'd expect people to us a credit card? A cash only spa that keeps the doors locked? Really, sounds more like a brothel. Just sayin' read more

I wrote this email after a visit to Bella. They never responded to me and when I called to discuss this with the owner, she didn't want to hear about it, claims she never saw the email and did not see the point in me resending it. She also said it was my fault for not calling back, even though it was Saturday evening and they were closed at the time. She said "I don't live in the email world", so, you should make sure ignore the email address on their webpage and she also told me that "what goes around comes around". So, here is my email which she refused to read (or maybe just ignored) before she told me off. DON'T GO HERE, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, THE SERVICES PERFORMED TURNED OUT TO BE GARBAGE AND THE OWNER DOESN'T CARE. " My mom and I came in today for pedicures at your spa. I have attached pictures of our pedicures taken just a few minutes ago. As you can see, her polish has become pitted and wrinkled and she did absolutely nothing to mess it up. In fact, she still had her toe separators on up until a few minutes ago, it just dried this way. She is leaving in the morning to go overseas on a month long trip, and I was trying to treat her to a nice pedicure at a "nice" place and now she has a garbage polish job that we don't have time to fix. Our experience while at your spa was less than perfect. We had hour long appointments set for 2:30 with the understanding that we would be out for sure by 4 as we needed to get to dinner. Our pedicures started over 30 minutes late and we did not leave until after 4:15. There was also some issue with communication or attitude with the lady doing my pedicure when I asked for her to shorten my nails. I do understand that she was deaf, and I was willing to work with her, but she was "having a rough day" and seemed to be quite unhappy with me before we even started. Other than me needing to get Vera to fix the corner of my right big toe before I left, my pedicure seems to have turned out pretty well compared to my mom's. I am SEVERELY disappointed with this experience. How can you charge someone $156 for two pedicures and then expect them to be OK with this, our first and probably only visit to Bella. You can void the gift certificate that you gave me and refund my money in full. There is no way I should have to pay for this. My experience at Bella Michelle Day Spa was nothing but pleasant, and high quality. I called the morning of to see if they had a last minute basic pedicure appointment in time for the weekend, and they were able to accomodate me with a late afternoon slot right after work. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone was pleasant, and indicated to me that they were located behind the McDonald's in an office building which was helpful. When I arrived, soft music was playing and the lights were dim - providing that initial reaxing atmosphere. I was greeted warmly, and asked if I wanted a glass of wine or water. I was delivered a full glass of white wine, which was a very nice added touch after this hectic week! After filling out some paperwork, which was a little unusual for a pedicure, I was immediately taken back to the nail room and introduced to my technician. However, it was nice to hear she had reviewed the paperwork and it was good to set expectations for styles, colors, and any things I didn't want/like from the beginning. Vera was FABULOUS, and I couldn't be happier with my pedicure!! I've been to many salons and spas, and this is one of the best pedicures I've had. She was easy to communicate with, listened to my concerns with a foot injury, and adjusted her treatments accordingly. I was in no pain the entire time, and she didn't dig into the sides of my nails or trim too short. The best highlight was the new massage chair, which I wish I had turned on at the start of the treatment. This chair is legit! There are plenty of "massage" chairs out there that simply buzz your back. This honestly felt like someone was kneading all my sore spots with decent force. I would pay just to sit for 10 minutes in that chair and relax. At the end, I checked out and paid. A 20% tip was included in the price, but I was asked if I wanted to change it before my card was run. I was not pressured into any sale of items, and was asked to provide a review online about my experience. My mom, sister and I got facials today; mom got the European, sister and I got the 1st timers facial (usually only for teens but they made an exception for me, 19). It was so great, they exfoliate your skin, remove any gunk from your face, massage it, and make you feel calm and relaxed. We added the neck and shoulder massage too and that was amazing. They massage my whole arms and fingers, shoulders and neck. My sister got a massage on her feet too. They really did get a lot of knots out of my neck and back. The do A LOT of talking about how great they are with little follow thru. To clarify some things: massage SHOULD have taken an hour and a half with the amount of time he spent demonstrating. Also, I asked for a relaxing massage and he pushed a combo of therapeutic and relaxation. Probably got an upcharge for that too, but didn't bother to look. Why would I thank someone for giving me extra time that he chose to take away in the first place. Also it's hard to be non-conversational with people who never shut up, without being rude. Which I never was while I was there, unlike Mike who's yelling about "why women put that stuff on their nails" while I was enjoying my complementary wrap... Michelle, Rebecca told me herself she was trained at aveda with only natural products and has about 6 months experience. She was visibly shaking when I first sat down and I hadn't even said a word. I showed her how to do her job, because apparently you haven't. You even admitted to me that she gets freaked out about gel on toes and has had several similar episodes to mine. . Mike coming in and out every 10 minutes checking on progress didn't help her or my stress levels. Even if other salons DO mix acrylic with gel, it still is soaked off and removed in 10 minutes. It took Rebecca 45 minutes just to remove the gel from my toes which is why I cancelled the manicure. At that rate a mani/pedi would have taken 3 hours which I didn't have. Btw. Because the facial was AFTER my pedicure, my toes were messed up. Who schedules wet toes when you're supposed to be covered by a blanket? It took 1 1/2 hours for my "pedicure". I had my fingers and toes done elsewhere on Monday with no issues.... You were the one begging me to come back and leave a good review. After our convo before my facial, I am surprised you would think that could happen. And btw, at that point I would have said ANYTHING to get the h*ll out of there. You all lecture, upsell, and care only for your bottom line. And frankly, I think these 5 star reviews are fake after my experience...just dropped my review to 1 star (zero if I could). END UPDATE*** First, let me say that I booked a 1/2 day of services for a relaxing morning with massage, facial, gel manicure and pedicure. Let's start with the nails. Rebecca is a very sweet girl with little experience. My advice to her is to get experience at a nail place, then move to a spa. Too much pressure on you with Mike hovering. So, BM says they don't do gel on toes due to fungus being transmitted in gel polish. I googled. Nowhere could I find a public source for this info. But if you're worried about sanitation, let me recommend using a liner in the bowl. Due to the time it took to remove gel from toes and replaced with regular polish, I ran out of time for my manicure unless I wanted to be there 6 hours. Massage. Again, I wanted a relaxing morning. While the massage was good, he kept stopping to show me how to stretch the various parts of my body and to do it every hour. I did mention that I've been doing yoga for 20 years, but that didn't sink in. After being lectured for quite awhile, I said "OR, I could just come see you once a month" (hint, hint). His answer? He's just trying to get me to take personal responsibility. Okaaaayyyyyy. Thanks dude, just what I came in for... Mike. You are overbearing. I DID NOT, nor have I EVER had acrylic on my nails. You have an inexperienced girl doing a job you are charging spa prices for. $55 for a pedicure and a $25 up charge for gel on toes?!!! Also, I couldn't even smell the $30 upcharge for aroma therapy with my massage. Stop nickel and diming people to death. Michelle did a good facial, but when I said I just wanted a regular hydrating facial, she said Rebecca did that and she would get her. Well she was at lunch so michelle ended up doing it anyway. She did the best she could given she came in at the end, but by then the experience was more than ruined and I was just trying to get thru the day without being upset as it was my anniversary. I have to say this was the strangest spa experience I have ever had. I went to this spa based on the consistently good reviews it has online. First, the attitude of the man who answered when I called for an appointment. He bordered on being rude. I called to ask if they had any appointments open for January 3rd. He put me on hold before answering my question, then when he came back on the phone he brusquely asked for my credit card information - BEFORE WE EVEN SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT. That tells me that he doesn't care about me, the customer. He only cares about getting money. I should have hung up right then, but since it is the holidays and most places are booked, I took the appointment. I arrived 10 minutes prior to my appointment, but wasted most of that time driving around trying to find out WHERE exactly this spa is. It is tucked away in the very back amidst 10 - 15 other businesses, behind a McDonald's. It would have been nice if the guy on the phone had mentioned this and given me the building/office number, given that I was a first time customer. When I arrived at my appointment I was a little ticked off that I had to wander around before finding the place, but was greeted by a pleasant receptionist. The owner - Michelle - came out and introduced herself while I was filling out paperwork. After looking at my skin she recommended I get a Pom facial for acne, and I agreed. As I was being taken back to the facial room, the receptionist told me that the person who was to perform the facial is deaf. I was very surprised but glad she told me. The girl who did the facial was nice, but unfortunately she misunderstood what type of facial I was supposed to get, and gave me one that is not effective for acne prone skin like mine. At the end of the facial, the owner asked me how it was and I answered honestly. She was very surprised at how it turned out and she spent the next hour giving me the correct facial that I had requested. She was very apologetic about the mistake, and I do appreciate that she took the time to correct it, but it was a very odd and uncomfortable experience. Michelle is very knowledgeable about skin care, attentive to your skin's needs, and skilled at what she does. I just wish my original appointment had been with her! I ended up buying a couple of the products she used on my skin, and she threw in a couple little freebies. One thing though - when I got home I realized she had given me a sample of the cleanser I had bought. When she was giving me the sales pitch (which is to be expected no matter what spa you go to), I told her that I like to sample products before I invest a lot of money in a line of product. She told me that she didn't have any samples to give me... this is obviously not true, since she threw in a sample of the product I bought. Beware of this place!! When i called to book appt they take your credit card info over the phone. I told them I would be using a gift card for the balance of my service. I showed up last week to this place. Right off the bat...it was weird b/c the door is locked and you have to talk through an intercom for someone to come to the door to let you it. Some man wearing shorts looking unprofessional unlocks the door to let me in. Not overly inviting atmosphere. He right away asks me for my gift card so they can run it and then gave me some forms to fill out. In the meanwhile, I am filling out the forms I can hear him and I'm assuming the owner (female) whispering back and forth to each other behind the wall. Weird. So, the lady comes out with the clip board and proceeds to tell me the cost of the massage. Mind you, I upgraded b/c she told me the massage I booked didn't really have much pressure so if I wanted a more intense massage that would be $10 more, so I agreed. Then she proceeded to tell me that there is an upcharge if you use a credit card (3 or 4 percent I don't remember) and she then told me the tip I owed! All of this BEFORE the service! Now I have been to much nicer places then this hole in the wall (safety harbor spa/Innisbrook, etc) and never once been asked to pay for services ahead of time and especially not the tip! She said NO ONE ever complains about it when I balked at it. Apparently they do from the reviews I read (after the visit). She proceeded to say if I was not happy being there they would just cancel my massage. So, I told them I would like to cancel b/c the whole thing is odd. Best part...when I asked for my $25 gift card back...she said they already ran it and they can't return it?!? I was like ...you have to be kidding me?? Why would you run a gift card before the service??? They could have offered me $25 cash back...but nothing. I was not happy so I left. Oh, and I was locked in...so I had to unlock the door to let myself out. Should have called the police for them stealing my gift card without providing the service. Weird experience is right. We went to Clearwater for girls trip 4 of us from different parts of the US major cities all of us and we are very familiar with spas and their practices. We had great massages; the therapists are excellent however beware that the prices are expensive and the gratuity is already tacked on. 20% which is fine but typically I would like to tip AFTER the service and speaking of after the service that's when i like to pay too. We scheduled two days of service and we were told on day one that we needed to pay for all in advance - our second spa day was 5 days after the first. We agreed to pay. After we got back to our senses we checked our bills $600 got three services for me $900 for one of my friends- way more than we have ever spent/ this is year 13 of girls trip - we have done Chicago Denver Dallas Vegas and have hit good if not great day spas- just saying pretty pricey! We tried to cancel a service 4 days prior well within the 24 hour cancellation and we were told that we could not. I insisted and was told no refund just gift certificate. I agreed as we had a late arrival and she was to receive a service; I would just apply to her massage no big deal right? I was then informed that gift receipts were not transferable!!! It was s GIFT receipt. The owner of the spa did back down but not until I exited the spa in the middle of my service and threatened to call my bank to cancel transaction. This ranks among the worst spa experiences that I've ever had. There are a ton of positive online reviews for this spa, which is why I decided to go here. Frankly, after my visit, I suspect most of those reviews are not real. The first odd thing that this spa does is take your credit card information prior to your first appointment--in case you don't follow their cancellation policy. That is not a sign of a reputable spa. Reputable facilities cater to their clients and they know that things sometimes come up and clients can't make it. Anyway, I had no problem arriving on time, but it should have been a red flag. From the moment I first walked into the spa, everything was a big sales pitch. A gentleman showed me around the entire spa and talked about all of the wonderful treatments they provide. It is a beautiful, clean facility, but the tour felt too much like an over-the-top sales pitch. I had scheduled a facial, and Michelle, the owner, was the esthetician that performed my treatment. I was not impressed with her at all. My main concern with my skin is acne. I've been working with a dermatologist on getting it under control and after getting an IPL laser treatment a few months ago, it is much improved. To be fair, I shared with Michelle that I'm not 100% happy with the results because I obviously want the acne completely gone (it's about 95% gone). Michelle focused on telling me why everything the dermatologist has done and recommended is incorrect. She seemed to overlook the fact that my skin is much improved at this point. I mostly need continuing maintenance of some kind. I had originally planned on getting an oxygen facial, but Michelle talked me into upgrading to an acne facial with the oxygen as an add-on. She was very unorganized during the treatment, although she did apologize and mention that she had to keep leaving the room for supplies because the last esthetician who had used the room did not put them back. I've had many facials in the past and there was absolutely nothing special or unique about this one to justify the final price of $175. The "facial" consisted of a quick clean (and I mean quick!), steam, painful extractions (she really dug into me), the mask (I was left alone in the room for a long time for this), removal of the mask (which was again quick and rushed), and then the oxygen and LED light. There was nothing soothing or relaxing about her technique or the entire experience. After the facial, Michelle spent quite a bit of time trying to sell me a $375 product line because the results of my facial would be "ruined" if I didn't buy it. In spite of the fact that I told her that I had just spent a significant amount of money on products that my derm had recommended. Michelle definitely used a high pressure sales technique, but I resisted. I had told her that ingredients are important to me and she showed me the "active ingredients", which make the products look great. After doing my own research though, the products are no more natural than anything else. Also, you can purchase them online for much less. Michelle didn't stop there though. She also tried to sell me her mineral makeup line and SPF sunscreen, even though I told her that I was completely satisfied with the high quality products that I currently use. Without even knowing the brands, she tried to discredit the products and tell me that they probably weren't high quality. Also, she tried to use the technique of playing on people's insecurities, which I found to be a huge turnoff. I'm almost 30 and I know that I do have some sun damage. But I'm frequently carded and told that I look like a student still, so my skin can't look all that bad. Michelle mentioned that she could fix up my undereye area, as I'm starting to get some wrinkles. Even if there is truth in this, I didn't care for her approach. The results of the facial are disappointing. My skin looks worse at this point, since I did breakout in spite of using samples of the product that Michelle promised would not cause my skin to breakout. For $175 (plus the tip that I graciously gave even though she didn't deserve it), I would expect my skin to look phenomenal. I've had better results with $50 facials. I can't recommend this spa based on my experience and I won't be going back. read more

I'm writing this review after 2 weeks because I'm still disappointed by my experience at this spa. I was a first time customer and stated on my form that the reason for my facial was for relaxation. I hardly ever get days off so I was beyond thrilled to have the rare opportunity for a facial. I booked the 69 dollar basic facial and waited about 30 minutes before I was taken into the facial room. The esthetician, after examining my skin, stated that I would benefit from the oil control facial which was twice the price. When I asked about the differences between facial regimens she stated, and I quote "The 69 dollar facial is basically fluff and doesn't do anything." Against my better judgement, I decided for the more expensive regimen. It started with a mask application and steam that was to stay on for 10 minutes. After application, the aesthetician left the room. Now, I've traveled extensively and have been to numerous day spas around the country so I was extremely surprised that instead of a hand massage, scalp massage, etc that the esthetician just left the room. When she returned, she slapped on some more serums and started trying to sell me these products. I was obviously disinterested in talking because I was trying to relax; however she just kept talking and even brought in products for me to buy at the end of my service. I left Bella Michelle with this extremely disappointed feeling that I grossly overpaid for a subpar service that didn't afford me the opportunity to relax. Not to mention that my face felt so horrible and tight that I washed off the product the second I got home. All I can say is WOW!!! I wish I lived in Fla. as I was just visiting, but what a pleasant surprise. I have been to other Spas and never received such great treatment. The music alone was so relaxing.. The facial made me glow and feel 10..yes TEN years younger. I had the privilege of having the owner Michelle so this was a bonus! The mud wrap was awesome and the massage over the top..I explained I can't have deep tissue and I got just what I needed..Thank you Bella Michelle.....your hands are a gift from God...Looking forward to my next trip to Clearwater..I know where I'm headed first!!! Being new to the area I was looking for a place to have a spa day and based on reviews, I chose this spa and I was so happy I did. I had a massage, a body polish and then a pedicure. This also came with a delicious organic lunch and a glass of wine. I love the decor in the spa and with so many other spas being cookie-cutter, This one was a breath of fresh air. I'm writing in response to the owners response of my review. You LIED!! I DID NOT LEAVE A 40.00 tip! I left a 20.00 because that was the smallest bill that I had. I was NOT there over 1 1/2 hours! She was just about done at 30 minutes and I commented on that so she continued. I NEVER asked about wearing mascara with the extensions as that's why I get extensions I can't wear mascara! Technician did not "comb" thru my eyelashes because they were so clumpy you can't! I NEVER TOLD YOU I WAS HAPPY WITH THEM! When you looked at them I could barely open my eyes! A bit watery you say!? My eyes burned and watered uncontrollably I had to pull over on the way home because I couldn't keep my eyes opened due to burning so bad and watering so bad. When you said they look good my comment to you was are they, I can't see them, I told the technician the same thing. You should not lie in your response to make yourself and your business look good. I had never gotten a massage before this one, so it was all new to me. The building itself was kind of hidden, which they explained to me on the phone when I made the reservation. However it wasn't too hard to find. The inside was cute and peaceful, they have cosmetics in the front to buy. Staff was very kind. Everything was clean. I have been a long time client of Bella Michelle Day Spa and have loved every treatment I have received. From facials to body wraps I always leave there satisfied and relaxed. The spa is beautiful and has equipment seems so advanced for this area that I haven't seen anything like it at other spas. They do offer many different skin products and it seems that the owner Michelle really knows her stuff when she recommends them. Have never had a problem if I elect not to purchase and expect to be offered a product as I have been at some pretty high end spas and cruise ship spas and always been offered products no matter which one it is. The location is perfect for me as it is just a short drive from my home and I plan on trying some of the more wrinkle fighting treatments as I am getting older and do not want to go the botox route. I've decided I want to stop acrylic nails and was looking for a gel nail alternative that my sister in Canada highly suggested. It's not all that easy to determine which product is better and after being told that the woman who does the Bio Gel was off for a month, they suggested that the gel would work great. After having 3 fall off, I couldn't wait any longer. A little out of the way as far as frontage, but it was explained to me over the phone before I got there. Very friendly greeting, tour of the facilities and finally where the mani was to be done. A lovely girl ( I didn't get her name but she is deaf) did my manicure, fixed all the botched work from 2 other salons and I came out very very happy. My nails are shorter then they have been in 8 years, but it's my natural nail, the colour is gorgeous and I can say it's the best experience at a spa I've had in my 3 years living here. I found this place online and was looking forward to trying it out for pedicures with my husband. When I called the salon and spoke to "Mike" I was told that I needed to give my credit card in order to secure an appointment. I have been to many upscale salons before and have NEVER been asked to give my credit card details PRIOR to even walking in the door. I have never heard of such a practice. I decided to not book the appointment because I do not agree with this business practice. I am so glad that I cancelled because now I see other reviews where people tried to cancel and were still charged for the service or they had gratuity automatically tacked on. So glad I trusted my gut that told me only a shady business would require your credit card upfront to book an appointment. read more

Absolutely horrible! The "spa" is in a executive park and very hard to find - I kept thinking we were in the wrong place. The inside is extremely small and the locker rooms consist of 6 small lockers mounted to a hallway wall next to the 1 stall bathroom. I took my niece there for her birthday after reading some great reviews and wasted a lot of money. The massage was okay although an up charge of $30 to have peppermint oil versus lotion was quite unreasonable. The lights were barely dimmed and during the session one of the receptionists slipped a piece of paper under the door telling the therapist to finish at a certain time. The same thing happened to my niece. There was no take your time and have some water. It was, "I'm done" and they flip the lights on. Next we finally got to change into robes and then got manicures. Great view of a parking lot and some complimentary champagne that was flat. From the start, my technician's hands shook the entire time and I ended up with streaky polish and even with 2 coats had missing spots on most nails with no polish. Then the "ice cream" pedicure which consisted of a bath salt fizz ball and hardly any massage. Shaky hands again and more streaked polish. Twice while getting our mani/pedi a receptionist came in to tell the technicians that they needed to hurry up as they had another appointment. So much for relaxing! So $450 later we walked out and headed out very disgusted. You can, and I did the very next day, go to a strip center and got a $45 mani/pedi that is 10x the quality. I've been to some amazing places and if I could give a zero I would. To end, as I was backing out of my parking space I ran over something. My niece got out and found what remained of a glass pipe (yes the one you smoke out of). Calling this a spa is a huge stretch and the prices are in line with a Ritz Carlton spa but none of the quality in service or product. Do NOT waste your time or money. read more

Don't waste your money or time. I am vacationing in the area and needed a Bio Gel nail fill. Their website says they do it but when I called Mike, the so called manager, said they did not use Bio Gel but had Gelish which is the same. It cost me $55 plus tip to have my nails break off below the nail line (painful) after only 5 days. The tech, who tried her best but was not familiar with BioGel, took 2 hours to file and soak off the residue and paint over with Gelish. When I called to complain that my nails were so weak they were breakng, Mike said to send him a picture. I said I would come into the Spa to show him and I expected a refund. He said as the "manager" he was not authorized to give a refund but they could try again on the nails I had left I guess. Shame on them that they did not have Bio Gel remover and did not tell me. He became rude and condescending and I told him I would write a bad review. His response..."go ahead..you would have anyway!" Shame on them.
