We started Bella about a year ago, being a little unsure; however, I have to give credits to all the incredible teachers here! My sons love love Bella Montessori. They came home everyday being so happy and we could tell they've learned so much from school. Special thanks to Ms. Agnes, Ms. Preetika and Ms. Antonella. My sons have moved to a new class recently, but they truly miss their old teachers. Ms. Agnes is just amazing - she is firm but so loving. She is very organized, knowledgeable and establishes positive habits in children. We absolutely love Ms. Agnes' style! Ms. Antonella is a warm and passionate person. She makes learning fun! Ms. Preetika is very patient, caring, supportive, and super sweet to kids. My kids are very grateful that they got yo spend the last year with them. We adore these wonderful teachers! My baby started daycare a few weeks ago at Bella Montessori and I can tell you this was the best decision ever! The Teachers (such as Ms. Iman, Ms. Jenny) are so loving, you can tell they really care so much about all of the children and also for the parents. The Admin Team (such as Ms. Simina, Ms. Alexandra, Ms. Ildy, Ms. Stefanie) are very personable and kind - they always make time to talk to you and answers any questions. You can tell that everyone here loves their jobs. The facility itself is also beautiful, clean, and organized. Plus, there is also a big indoor gymnasium for the children to run around and play. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Bella! We were lucky enough to have a friend highly recommend Bella for our oldest daughter. She was terrified to go to school and frankly we were terrified to send her. We were blessed to have had so many amazing staff members put us and our daughter at ease. She was very nervous and fearful to try new things! Ms Ildy and Ms. Pam really made her feel safe and as though she could step out of her comfort zone by encouraging her to try new things with STEAM and Ceramics. Our youngest daughter then followed in her sister's Bella footsteps at 18 months, when I received the dreaded news that I had to return to office. She started in the caterpillar room and the teachers were wonderful. I was a bit anxious about her leaving the comfort of the caterpillars class, but she has fallen in love with her new teachers; Ms. Brisa, Ms. Diana and Ms. "Tika" ...and so have the rest of the family. They are truly incredible ladies and I hate to think about our littlest lady leaving them. Aside from the incredible staff, the indoor playground is by far the best feature we found at any Montessori that we visited! It is so comforting to know that on a sweltering hot or rainy day the kids still get to play because they have an amazing indoor playground for the kids. This indoor space is huge. We transitioned here after huge issues arising from management change at our previous daycare. We have been nothing but impressed with the staff, environment, and facilities. The teachers are excellent, supportive, and communicative. The facility is able to handle activities for the children with abundant safe space in both indoor and outdoor playgrounds. The management regularly clearly communicates to parents and use an app to send pictures to families. The business is also privately owned meaning it is not managed by these private equity firms or corporations with incentives that can quickly view families in distant terms slowly degrading the care for profit margins. It has given our family significant peace of mind to have our child here. read more

My husband calls Bella the "Apple store of daycare." This is clearly more than a daycare since it's a Montessori school, but also a place where my child enjoys her time and the education they provide. I want to highlight the school's leadership with Stefani always making this a seamless process and always providing a warm welcome to parents and kids. Alexandra at the front desk is a delight, and my daughters teachers - Diana, Brisa and Pam are people who my daughter loves and who clearly have a passion for teaching and nurturing children. The teachers are phenomenal: Ms. Perla, Ms. Sam, Ms. Stephany, Ms. Brisa, Ms. Diana, and all of Toddler 1. They're caring, nurturing, and build age appropriate curriculum (sometimes even more advanced than I expected) and I'm always surprised when my child comes home with unexpected nuggets of empathy and knowledge. Environment: summers and Santa Ana winds are definite concerns so I absolutely love that they have an indoor play area that isn't the classroom. It allows them to rotate classes thru when being outdoors isn't a safe option. This was one of the key distinct features we found when assessing other options. Covid Precautions: Like every other company, they do masks and temperature checks at drop off. They have similar policies to other daycares of sending children home when sick. Protocol or not, people will cut corners so no matter where we go it all comes down to the staff doing the right thing when someone isn't looking, right? I trust that they'll do the right thing. The administration: We had a rocky impression of the school with the previous director but since they established Stefanie as the new director a couple years ago and have consistently maintained the same front desk support with Alex -- it's improved leaps and bounds. They run a tight ship here meaning the school director isn't just sitting at her desk, she's preparing snacks and supporting classrooms while teachers stay focused on the children. This is a daycare not a full on elementary so don't expect this place to have dedicated admin support. If you call and they don't answer, it's probably bc they're in a classroom helping our kids. One of the trade offs of having a very involved school director is lack of consistent timing on email communications like snack calendars but that's not a big deal to me. Overall, I think they're trying the best they can -- especially during Covid. If I were to rate this place on our first year, it would have been low but everyone makes mistakes and if we judge everyone for onesie/twosie events -- we'd all be low ratings. Taking it all in and understanding how they operate and some of the constraints they have to work around -- they're definitely doing great. Kids get good care here in an environment where there's room to change scenery if outdoors is not an option and I trust the staff and teachers will do the right thing for the children. My wife and I could not be happier we chose Bella for our daughter. She's been in the infant room since she was 4 months old. She's now almost 9 months and having her at Bella has been nothing but a positive experience. I wish we would have pulled our daughter Katie out of her previous school and into Bella sooner!!! After a bad experience somewhere else, we came into Bella with a guard up! I am so happy to say that in less than a month there our baby girl is adored and thriving! Miss Simina, Rachel, Kate, Diana and Priya are all so amazing with her and Katie's face lights up at drop off when she sees her teachers! The level of details we can and the nicest anecdotes from Katie's day really makes me like like i was a part of it and makes leaving her at Bella that much easier. It is obviously that Katie is getting some quality one on one time as she is now crawling and signing better (neither of which was happening by 10.5 months at her last school). My husband and i appreciate that the staff is helpful and offers advice to us in regards to scheduling as well as meal ideas. As first time parents we appreciate the insight from the pros! Feeling discriminated by this school. My family are navigating our way with raising toddler who is on the spectrum for autism. We have been turned away by so many day cares. This school was so welcoming at first, and constantly following up with us to find out if we were interested in touring, if we had any questions...etc etc. They assured us they had enough staff in their pre-primary classes, etc etc. As soon as they found out our son was on the spectrum for autism, their demeanor changed and all of a sudden; they were concerned they didn't have enough staff and asked us if we could get an ABA shadow. They asked if we could bring our son in first for a trial run. I was trying to schedule it afterwards, but they didn't get back until the day of (my only day off, which are hard to come by). They told us they no longer had enough staff, and we could be put on the waitlist. I love my son, and not once do I ever think anything is wrong with him. It's hurtful and shameful with the way this school has responded to us. But it's their loss, because they are missing out on a beautiful, intelligent, and sweetest soul. read more

My daughter has been attending there for a while and Ms Gity is a absolutely wonderful. She made sure our daughter is ready for kindergarten in a few weeks. Our daughter will miss her very much and we hope that she at some point gets promoted or is appreciated. She is a true asset to the school! My wife and I had an amazing experience here at Bella Montessori. Rachel and Simina were always so sweet and nice to my daughter Taylor. She was always so excited to go to Montessori and spend the day with them. My wife and I always knew our daughter was in great hands while they were watching her. We have our 6 month old at Bella and we absolutely love it!!! My wife and I toured several facilities around the area and we really like the atmosphere that Bella Montessori provided. The Director Mrs. Rosie and Asst. Director Ms. Vanessa run a tight and well managed program. Everything always seems in order and we never had problems or concerns. The facility is super clean, well maintained and has a large indoor play area (in addition to an outdoor play area). We love the fact that both infant rooms were interconnected, which allowed for the children to interact and explore with all of the other similar ages infants. We are lucky enough to have Mrs. Samina lead our son's infant room. She is always incredibly attentive and genuinely concerned about the children in her room. Ryder loves his teachers Mrs. Rachel and Mrs. Mariam. Even though our child tends to be fussier than some of the others, they definitely are incredibly patient and make sure he all gets the attention he needs. His teachers let us know how his day went and if they did anything fun or learned something new. The other teachers on the opposite side of the room, are equally as caring. They are always super nice and happy to see our baby. Mrs. Diana is always full of energy. I would definitely recommend this program to others. If you are considering a daycare, I would highly suggest at least taking a tour of the facility... you will understand why we chose this program over the others once you have. read more

My husband and I are both in the education field, so choosing the perfect fit for our 2.5 year old daughter (at time of enrollment) posed to be quite a challenge! Nothing in the area seemed to fit the criteria we were looking for. As soon as we walked into Bella Montessori, we knew it was the place for our girl. A caring, warm and safe environment was our top priority, and that is what we knew we would get if we enrolled there. Our daughter has now been there for about six months and we all couldn't be happier! We highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a place that will tend to the social emotional needs of your kiddo, all while providing them activities that allow their creativity to grow and flourish. We choose Bella in the middle of Covid due to their stricter Covid protocols to help keep kids safe. Since then, we couldn't be happier with the school. The teachers are caring and supportive. They plan fun activities for the kids that our little one always looks forward to. The teachers have been great at communicating any issues or concerns. They use a nice app to help communicate with parent's, provide daily pictures of your child, and update parents on the day's activities. You can also message staff thru the app and get a response pretty quickly. The school is clean and the building is relatively new, which is so nice. The outdoor play area backs up to the back of a kids gym so the area is kept pretty private and away from other businesses. They also have an indoor play area, which I think is great as it gives kids another option when it's rainy, too hot, or too windy. The have long hours too to accommodate working parents. In the summer they do a whole summer camp full of daily activities. On the Covid front now, they still check temperatures of the child and parent at drop off, parents must wear masks at drop off, and kids are encouraged to wear masks but it's not required. Staff wears masks all day. For all the time we've been there, there has never been an issue with Covid cases. We looked at a few schools in the area, but this one was and still is the best one! But the way that the management has handled the whole coronavirus situation is dangerous and careless. I understand that there are parents who still need to work and don't have childcare. Bella Montessori is a wonderful school. Our son has been going since he was 5 months old and I know the growth and social skills he has learned are because of the wonderful caregivers at Bella. Ms. Simina and the entire infant room staff are so loving and caring for my son's well being. He has recently transitioned to the toddler room and he is loving it. The process of assimilating the infants to the toddler room was very thoughtful so that the changes would be accepted and positive. I love that Bella is always focused on the emotional well-being of my child. Any concerns I've raised have been immediately addressed with respect and care. Terrible management. School refused to shut down even the orders from state due to corona virus was to shut down. After I called and told them my son was sick with cough and fever.... they didn't even care to ask if he was tested, or anything. Clearly safety of the kids is not first on their list. This is an awesome school! My daughter went here, and loved it! She would come home telling me about "Ms. Anna and Ms. Lucy and a classmate Lily her best friends". Haha! This school is incredibly clean, safe, and absolutely wonderful! I cannot think of a better place. Although my daughter now goes to a school closer to where we live (Irvine) we are so happy at our time at Bella Montessori. This school exudes professionalism, and Ms. Anna is truly educated and spectacular in the Montessori style of education. After having a terrible experience at a different school, I enrolled my twins at Bella Montessori. They are in the pre primary room with Ms Allison and I could not be happier. The facility is extremely clean and my kids are always so happy at drop off and pick up. I started them off 2 days a week and was so impressed that I've now increased their days. As a first time parent dropping my kids off at preschool was a very scary and overwhelming experience, but I now have so much peace of mind knowing that my kids are in good hands. My son had a fantastic time in the infant room with Ms. Samina and Ms. Diana. He was fed and took naps according to his personal schedule, loved all the toys and activities, and made beautiful art that still hangs on my fridge. The teachers read stories, sang songs and did sensory activities with all the babies sitting together around a table. There is a quiet space with cribs and calming music playing to help babies sleep. Ms. Rosie, the director, checked in frequently to make sure the classroom was running smoothly and everyone was happy. They would even go on walks in a large stroller to get a change of scenery! My son started at this school when he was only 2 years old in Ms. Elizabeth's class. Let me just tell you, I was amazed at how fast she potty trained my kid with such ease. She was such a fun and loving person to my child. I could not have been more pleased. She prepared my son for Ms. Jamie and Ms. Sydney's class, and again I have nothing awful to say about them. They are both strong young woman who have a passion for what they do. Since my son has started in their class, he can now fully speak in clear sentences and now won't stop talking. Haha. I am not a super fan of reviewing on yelp, but I have to express my great appreciation here this time to Bella Montessori especially to Ms. Simina, Ms. Sima and Ms. Preethika! My little one started in infant room when she was about 9 months old. At first we were a little bit worried about if the little angel could get used to the brand new environment since we were having some feeding issues for months. Also the little one wouldn't go to sleep during the day time without someone holding her. However, Bella and the teachers there surprised me even during the first month. They took good care of my little one, and they would also follow whatever specific instruction we provided. The little one slept well there during the daytime. Most importantly, the magic part happen, the previous feeding issues were all gone and save us a lot energy and effort on feeding either bottle or solid. Well, I couldn't even come up with more word on describing how well the teachers are doing there. I would like to say thank you again to Bella and the teachers there! Our baby LOVED it here- we were really picky but felt like Bella had a good staff and facilities. Above all else, I'm happy to say the infant room teachers were amazing! Each morning, Ms. Rachel would greet us and I could tell she genuinely cared for our daughter- It's so important to feel assured that your baby is in good hands, and she was. Ms. Kate was so good with her as well- she took HUGE naps at Bella since she was held much of the time. I credit Ms. Simina for running a tight ship and ensuring that there was nothing to worry about! I also noticed that the place is buzzing with activity even early in the morning at 7:15- kids are playing, the Director is checking the rooms, and the place is generally well run and "buttoned up." The teachers are eager partners to the parents. ADMINISTRATION I am consistently impressed by the administration's openness, honesty, and investment in the families. Before my daughter even began the program, we were invited to together visit the infant rooms to start getting comfortable with them. During the first week, the administrative staff quickly and patiently answered my worried emails and calls. One of the finest examples of the administration's skill and dedication, I think, is the way they responded to an issue that was detected during a site visit. The school is required by law to notify parents of these issues but Bella went above and beyond to promote transparency - in addition to being notified via email immediately, the administration answered a large number of questions from me openly and honestly and without a hint of defensiveness. Many of my questions revolving around their plans to avoid the issue reoccurring had clearly already been discussed at length and I was provided with full visibility into the changes they would be making. I have watched those changes getting implemented as promised. HAPPY BABY! At the end of the day, I want my daughter to first, be safe; second, to be happy; and third, to be enriched. This is a great school. The facility is very new with a huge indoor playground. It is the best facility in the Lake Forest area as I have toured all nearby options. All the staff members are very friendly and it's a great vibe. My daughter is always very happy to be there as she will tell me "Go mama" when I dropped her off in the morning (she is only 2, so you know she really love being there!). My son (22 months) started at Bella Montessori toddler class about 3 months ago. My son is very shy and was new to the classroom environment. Teachers and staff at Bella Montessori were very caring and patient with him which helped with his transition tremendously. Now he loves school, and have made good friends. I am very grateful. The school itself is clean, bright and has a huge indoor playground. The owner and director truly cares about the students. I hope that they continue to bring in experienced and qualified teachers in for the pre-primary and primary class room which my son will be transfer to soon. My 4 year old son has been in the Pre-K program at Bella for 4 months. He had a bit of a rough transition coming from the in-home daycare that he attended since he was 3 months old. He cried at drop off every morning for 3 weeks, but the teachers were amazing and reassuring everyday during this transition. He now absolutely loves going to school and I sometimes have a hard time getting him to leave! I also love the skills he's learning in the Montessori curriculum. Today he was helping me to fold laundry and his folding was impeccable! I had no idea he even knew how to do this but he told me he'd been practicing folding at school. They also work on other skills like zipping jackets, tying shoes, and using manners at the lunch table. The school is also beautifully designed and remarkably clean. I am very surprised by the good reviews for this place and I realized I should have reviewed earlier. We went there about 2 years ago when we moved to the area. We had been at another preschool in the town we moved from and were at first happy to find a school that had openings. We attended Bella for 2 months before we left, but each day my son would come home dirty, wet, messy. His teacher was always frazzled and didn't seem to know what was going on with him. They don't seem to have any organization as far as curriculum and to be honest I did not like the industrial feel of the building. It seems cold to me. I got to a point that I would cry when I had to drop him off. When we pulled him out for another school in the area that I love the director offered us a discount but it wasn't worth it. It also used to bother me that they would not answer their phones promptly when I would call during the day for whatever reason. It was definitely more of a babysitting experience than a child care or preschool. Definitely was not for us. Maybe they have improved since then, but I truly believe there was a reason it was so easy for us to get a spot at this school. read more

I'm going to be completely honest...this was the first and only school we toured before deciding to enroll my 2-year-old son here. I'm not going to pretend that I'm a perfect mom and that I researched all the schools in the surrounding areas first. Prior to Bella Montessori, Grandpa was watching our son for us but he wasn't getting the social interaction with other kids his age and there was no planned curriculum like he'd get in a school setting. I figured any school would be more beneficial to my son's learning than staying with Grandpa (no offense to him, though, as he did a great job keeping him entertained, fed, and clean!). When I saw that Bella was literally right outside my workplace and that it was practically brand new, I decided to check it out and was WOWed from the start. I felt immediately welcomed by Mary the director and her staff. I like that they combine the Emergent Curriculum and Montessori Method for their curriculum, they provide AM and PM snacks, and they have very reasonable flat rates and no "extended hours" rates as other schools do. As everyone has already mentioned, this is still a very new school so everything is very nice and clean, and I LOVE the huge indoor playroom that they utilize on rainy days and even on really hot days. Ms. Mirian, Ms. Mollika, and Mr. Scott are so loving and very attentive to all the kids. I know my son is in great hands when I drop him off every morning. He has learned so much since he started school and he has definitely become more independent, more social, and more talkative as well. I feel that enrolling my son here has been the best decision we've made for him so far! read more

If you're looking for both Montessori and non-Montessori education, Bella Montessori is the place to go. Our son attended this school since 3 years old but we had to pull him out because we moved to another state. We finally settle down and it's time to write this review even a few months have passed. This is a great school. Everyone from Director (Ms. Rosie), Assistant Director (Ms. Stefanie), his teachers (Ms. Juanita & Ms. Vicky) and all the way to the receptionist will greet my son by his name every time he went to school and I'm impressed. They were very welcoming like a big family and it was so comfortable that we felt like home. What a great sincere team. One of the highlight of this school was the STEAM Lab where not many other school offer. They had a dedicated teacher in the STEAM Lab and I've to mention that Ms. Shadi, our all time favorite teacher was teaching there. Check it out because we really loved this school. Even after a few months have passed, my son will still tell me that the last time in Bella Montessori, "I did this and I did that." I highly recommend Bella Montessori. We met with the Assistant Director, Ms. Gigi, and were immediately impressed by the mission of Bella and how they approach caring for children. They have good communication, superior facilities, and loving caregivers. We met with the infant room lead, Ms. Simina and fell in love with how she valued the wellbeing of children. The infant room has lots of engaging activities. We especially liked the nap room because it was situated in the middle of the large infant room facility. The nap room had windows so that the infants could easily be watched but had an ambiance that was comforting and dark enough for infants to sleep. They are also very flexible with regard to what parents would like for nap schedules. Bella also has done a great job during COVID ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children. They do temperature checks and take very good precautions but also use creative ways to ensure that children still get the socio-emotional support that they need. At every step of our journey with Bella, the leaders and teachers were always very approachable and answered all our questions fully and with care. After placing my daughter into a school that turned out to be a horrible fit, we found Bella Montessori. It was such a breath of fresh air to walk into a welcoming and professional environment and I knew within minutes that Bella Montessori was the right place for our 3 month old and almost 3 year old. The entire staff is exceptional in every way. They are incredibly understanding and helpful and it is obvious that the teachers at Bella Montessori are hand selected. They are the best of the best. In such a short period of time, my 3 year old's attitude has drastically improved and she is again excited to go to school and share what she learned that day. My 3 month old is always content and the teachers in that room truly feel like an extension of our family. We feel very privileged to have the wonderful staff at Bella Montessori School to educate and care for our little ones. read more

Our child has been enrolled in the infant class since 4 months old and is now transitioning to the toddler class. It has been a very positive experience for all of us. We were able to go to work and know our child is in good hands and being properly cared for. All the teachers (Ms. Simina, Ms. Preetika, Ms. Sima, Ms. Kate, & Ms. Agnes), have been very friendly and caring. Thank you Ms. Simina, Ms. Preetika and Ms. Agnes for all the advices as our child progress through the stages of development and for watching out for the infants when it was suspected that our child was not feeling well, as we would want that for our child too. With the switch to the Brightwheel App, we enjoyed seeing our child's daily activities, pictures and videos. We have enjoyed watching our child go from exhibiting stranger danger behavior to being very fond of the infant teachers (blowing kisses and giving high fives). Our child has been here for a couple weeks, but she settled in really quickly and is enjoying herself. The staff is great, and they have built themselves a great facility. The class sizes are small because they are still growing. read more
