KinderCare has been such a positive part of our lives. Silas attended from infancy until age two, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience for him during those early years. The teachers here are truly special. Huge thank you to both Ms. Sandy's, Ms. Lesley, and Ms. Nicolette - they were phenomenal with Silas. Ms. Kym's love for music brought so much fun and energy, and Ms. Mimi was always so kind and nurturing. We also really appreciated Ms. Thays and the care she showed Silas, including teaching him some Spanish. We also really appreciated the leadership from Ms. Alycia and Ashley. Communication was clear, thoughtful, and consistent, and we always felt informed and supported. The daily photos and updates were a big highlight and made us feel connected throughout the day. We're sad to move on, but so grateful for the foundation of care, learning, and friendships Silas gained here. We'd absolutely recommend this center to other families. read more

I have been bringing my daughter to this daycare since she was nine months old, January 2024! My son has been attending since he was just six weeks old, May 2024. From the very beginning, the staff has been absolutely wonderful. My children love their teachers and always feel happy and safe here. This is the worst daycare I've ever seen...my son 3 yrs old we recently joined here last Monday.Not even 3days he went there he got severely injured . When asked about the injury they did not know how it happened. After a day they got back and explained he slipped in playground and the teacher comforted him. But they didn't apply ice pack or informed to Us. The teacher who saw him bump his head , after her shift she left Him with another teacher without even informing about his injury and asked to monitor his responses for few hours. We got so frustrated .. 1. The teacher who he was with does not even know he got injured .. 2. He was not given proper first aid or monitored . 3. We were not informed about this incident and when we went to pick him up we were shocked by seeing it..how come they didn't see him even though the mark was there...they're so irresponsible . 4. It took them 1 day to even find out what happened and how he was injured and they came up with a story to cover up their mistakes..which is not at all convincing. They left my child playing in water near wash basin and he got pneumonia and admitted to hospital..which is very sad . First day when we went to pick him up he was playing with the water we thought he was washing his hands and every day he got changed his clothes which we sent. After this incident we lost our trust on them.. children do get hurt but what actions are taken after that defines the day care. Did they give proper treatment and first aid, have they informed parents and get their suggestions. What necessary steps they take to avoid these kinds of accidents ..so please parents think twice before you choose the right one for your child.As a mother I don't recommend this place to get hurt any other child. read more

So I am one of those moms who obsessively researches everything before making a choice. I looked at and contacted every infant care in Aliso Viejo before making my choice and I can confidently say that I am so happy I chose Kindercare. Kindercare has become our second family to our almost 5 month old baby in such a short amount of time. Looking for infant care can feel like a daunting task but Kindercare made the process so easy. I will never forget their kindness to me and my family. I was a nervous wreck for months leading up to infant care because my son refused to bottle from our family. My son did not take the bottle from neither myself, my husband, nor grandparents for two months. We tried every bottle under the sun and he still wouldn't take it. On DAY 1, yes DAY 1 of Kindercare, he drank all his milk from the bottle - twice. Every day since then, he has drank from the bottle. It truly is amazing what these teachers can do. They really are the experts. My son comes home each day in a calm and happy mood. I can tell by his demeanor that they really love him and that he is content and happy as well. They also have an app where they post pictures and detail when he eats, sleeps, and gets his diaper changed. I am so happy we went with Kindercare for our infant care. I've sent both my kids to AV kindercare since they were 6 months old. My daughter just graduated (5 yo) and my son is almost 3. The past 5 years have been so impactful for both children. Humm! I don't know what to share here. Im pretty satisfied with the Kindercare. My son goes here a year and half now. Two times center director has been changed since then. They have three times registration fee per year. Very expensive center they recently increased their fees no part time offer anymore, used to close at 6:30 which was great. I wish they were clearly explained at the beginning of child enrollment. Always surprises! Every center Directors make their own roles and regulations which is obviously unfair. My oldest son was having a difficult time adjusting to kindercare but Ms. Ashley would go out of her way time and time again to make him feel comfortable and welcome him. When he would come home, he'd talk about playing with Ms Ashley and how much fun they had. She had a way of making him feel special even when she has a room full of others to watch and take care of. My son was sent to KinderCare when he was two and a half years old. Usually when I take him to the park, he doesn't want to play with children. When he first went to school, he could not help crying and didn't play with the children either. I was worried that he will not adapt to the new environment. I am so grateful to Ms. Ashley for her attention and support to my son. She quickly discovered that my son refused to eat because he did not want to sit with others, so she let him sit alone, and he was finally willing to eat! Later, Ms. Ashley encouraged him to sit with others and play with others. My son was finally able to sit with others bravely. He was finally willing to participate in group activities! I am so happy! Wow. Where do I begin. I remember when my son was 3 months old, and I had to take him to daycare. I could NOT have chosen a better facility than this one. There were a few directors who had me questioning things, but since Alycia and Ashley have taken over, I have had no issues. Whenever I have a question Ashley or Alycia are very responsive, and I get a message through the app right away. I love planning for the upcoming week, and they always have the monthly calendars ready BEFORE the month starts. They have phonics learning classes and music classes in a 3 to 1 ratio with Ms. Kim (at an additional fee), which makes me happy that my son is able to learn more hands on. I think the staff at this center have prepared my son for the next chapter of his life while making him excited to attend school. My son is currently 4 years old and will be moving on from this center, and my only complaint is that the staff won't be moving on with him. read more

My son is not the easiest 5 year old to manage but the staff at KinderCare did everything they could to help him be successful everyday. Our daughter (5) and son (almost 1) are so well cared for at this center. The kindergarten program is teaching our daughter and helping her grow. The infant program gets them using their hands to learn about their world while giving them a peer group and play. The teachers are loving and caring. The center is clean, my kids love the food, and the safety protocols with covid have been excellent. The director and assistant director are both very professional. That was what struck me most when touring- they were organized and knowledgeable but came off as friendly and interested in what was best for my kids, my family. After talking to director Rebecca, there was a misunderstanding with why she wasn't calling me back. They had their family event that kept her very busy. I also talked to the regional director for the Kindercare in this area, Charlotte because I really had to explain to her what the Groupon's fine print was very misleading. And it sounds like there was a miscommunication between Groupon and Kindercare. As a customer, I always try to keep my communication open and try to let them know what's going on because sometimes they don't know... Luckily, my 2yr son will be returning here for a week while my C section heals up... There are 2 staff here that also works at the YMCA that knows my boys. I have no issues with the staff that cares and watches my kids here. I do trust them. And as always they have an open door policy. read more

All of my stars go to Miss Elsee (pronounced as El See), miss Christina and miss Melissa. AV KinderCare was the first home away place for my son. He was in the toddler room. He went half day so drop off was around 8ish and pickup is at 11:30AM. They were flexible with drop off and pick up time specially when I'm running late to pick him up. This place is expensive but it was worth it for the care takers really did a great job in easing him and comforting him when he had separation anxiety. Food is served (breakfast, snacks, lunch - breakfast is not served for half-day goers). They have breakfast at 7:30am, snack at 9am, lunch at 11:00am and nap time starts at 11:30am. My son took about 4 weeks for him to get the grind and when Miss Else is there to receive him I knew for sure he will be alright soon. I'm glad I had a good experience here. Payment was every week or bi-weekly or monthly. They accept discover card (that's the only card accepted). read more

Great Daycare/School! My daughter attended since she was 5 months old until she was 2 and a half and made some great friends with the other kids and staff. We only left because we are moving to another city. She will really miss her good buddies and teachers. This day care does more than change diapers and feed the kids. The teachers take time to interact a lot with the kids and they have daily classes on various subjects and they provide a "report card" daily of the activities and your child's highlights of the day. They also have great on site facilities as far as class rooms, educational toys, and outdoor playgrounds. Behind the playground is a creek with trees and birds which adds to the nice environment. My granddaughter has been going to this Kindercare for almost two years, and it's been fine -- Ms. Rebecca is a wonderful director. However, they stepped it up a big notch when they hired Ms. Jill and implemented a "kindergarten" program for the older 4 year olds (my granddaughter is a normal, bright, fun loving, and active one). I initially thought a kindergarten curriculum would be too advanced for her, but it didn't take me long to realize that, in the right hands, this can be done and done well. Kudos to Ms. Jill! I happened to pick up my granddaughter on a rare occasion a few months ago and accidentally arrived a bit early. Ms. Jill was still finishing up her lesson. I was amazed at her ability to capture the attention and respect of her 4 year olds. Shortly after, I found out about the "Class Dojo" app. Ms. Jill uses this tool (in addition to traditional hard copy flyers) to post photos of your child so you know what they're learning, and to communicate with the parents. What a great tool for working parents -- I wish they had this back in the day! Although I've never formally met Ms. Jill, it's amazing how one can get an impression from little snippets that come out of your little one's mouth. One day, my granddaughter was on the home computer and casually said "I need to calibrate this". What!!! Where did she learn this word? Turns out Ms. Jill uses this word and let's the kids help calibrate the size of the screen on the overhead projector at school. On another occasion, my granddaughter said "pretend I'm Ms. Jill...". That's the height of a compliment to a teacher. Thanks to Ms. Jill, these kids have an early exposure to traditional Kindergarten, all done in an engaging and "hands on" manner. They have made great strides in their handwriting, phonics, reading comprehension, math, science, art, and social studies, all at an appropriate level and in just a few months' time. Times and teaching tools may have changed over the decades, but the skills, care, and passion needed to be a phenomenal teacher have not. My granddaughter is very fortunate to have Ms. Jill as her first "real" teacher. She has certainly set the bar high! read more

Rebecca Nehez, is by far the best director we've worked with at this KinderCare. (Please note: there was previously another director by the name of Rebecca -- this is not the same person.) Rebecca Nehez runs a center that is child-focused, clean, fun, friendly, and full of opportunities to learn. So I spoke with the director today who said parents won't be allowed to interact with other kids & my child won't be isolated if that parents comes in to interact with her children since they do have an "open door" policy for parents. As long as this one situation is taken care of I have no issues with this daycare. They really are amazing with my kids, especially my younger ones. They helped transition my 15 month old off bottles very easily & they are really are kind to my kids. The center is also clean. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of what that one teacher said & the manner she said it in. There was no mistake she didn't mean my child would be sent to another table with other kids she said ok so I'll send her alone to the table to read a book. The director is very helpful though & my kids are all when care of well. Especially the younger ones. If it wasn't for that one incident with that teacher and the other child still hurting my child then I would give them 5 stars. For young kids I think they're amazing but they need to stay watch the younger school aged kids more closely. read more

They have no idea what they are doing. Poor kids. this is my email to the director after she lied to me over and over again. She was given basic instructions to give my son medicine to control his teething. My son will no longer be attending Kinder care Aliso Viejo due to neglect and the constant lying from you and your weak staff. I have filed a compliant and I will make sure that my voice is heard since my son cant speak. You lack professionalism and basic morals/character. You will never ever come near my son let alone for me to leave my son alone with you or your center for 1 second. You are the director, the leader of your center and you failed today (miserably) you lied to my face about my sons care. You should be ashamed of yourself. You are a grown women and you lied to a mother only to blame your assistant director. I called 4/5 times. filled out papers and even checked out with you before I left to make sure Leo had his Tylenol. You told me you gave him medicine. The principal behind this scenario is you lied. you could have easily told me you didn't give him medicine but you told me you did. My son started your care center 9/17/2018 and it has been one big mistake from day one. My son had a fever over the weekend because of the neglect from Tammy and Kristy. You have two grown adults in an infant room. they got hot, they opened the window that is my sons check and face level. they allowed my son to stand by the window and he got the flu. My son was sick. -medicine not being given to him when he is in pain and doesn't feel good -my son has come home again and again with diaper rashes because he was not changed on time -diapers being on too tight -hands and feet being too cold because the has been sitting on the floor for too long -food not being given to him on time -Water never being offered. i measure his water every single day and he never gets his water. i have proof and documentation for everything -my son came home with a bruise on 12/28 i documented it. I asked who changed him and you have one too many rotating people in and out of the rooms. Every single one of you lie. -my son comes home dirty; his face is nasty with food crust. -dirty nose -dirty face -dirty clothes- he is an infant. he is not outside to play. -i've walked in on leo sitting on the hard rock floor without any clothes because he had a blow out and Kristy was talking to another teacher facing the opposite side of where his clothes were room toys are not cleaned -floors are dirty -changing booties are never changed or new (they get used over and over again) -sick kids in the class -crying kids in the class -no one attending to the kids -lack of common sense is mind blowing None of you deserve to be around children. They cant speak or defend themselves. Tammy and Kristy are there for the paycheck. I have caught them lying to me again and again and again and again. Enough is enough. I'm sick and tired of your lying and neglect. You will answer to someone. it may not be me or leo but you will be questioned for your actions. read more

My daughter has been at KinderCare for 4 years. It has been a fantastic place for her to learn and grow. They have an excellent curriculum. The staff is enthusiastic, loving and fun. Also, my daughter has a special health condition that doesn't affect her everyday activities, but is serious and we must watch out for signs of medical problems. The staff knows her so well, they have actually pointed out issues before I noticed them. I am so thankful for the close eye they keep on her. My son has been going to AV KC for 3 years. He started in the infant room at 4 months. I am a firm believer that it takes a village to raise a child and without the teachers at KinderCare I don't know how I would have survived the last 3 years. I specifically chose a center closer to my work so I could still nurse my son on my lunch breaks. The 6 months of him in the infant room I spent about 1.5 hours a day (15 min drop/pickup and 1 hour at lunch) observing and learning about the infant room and how the school operates. It is a well oiled machine. Ms. Kristy, aka The Baby Whisperer, and KinderCare have very specific procedures for taking care of all those cuddly babies. Every diaper change is documented and kids are either changed or sent to the restroom every 2 hours, if not earlier. All food and how much is eaten is documented as well as duration and times of naps. I love reading the notes of what my little did while I was away, playing with feathers, splash day, learning about different textures, etc. Every day is something new. My son refused to take a bottle when I went back to work and Ms. Kristy got him to take it. No one could get him to take it but she was able to. BABY WHISPERER! She taught me tricks on how to give medicine to a wiggly baby/toddler or how to teach him to walk (he walked at 10 months). He was advanced because I had the best to teach him. The best thing about KinderCare AV is Ms. Kristy and Ms. Tammy, as of the last 4 months or so. Parents need strong infant room teachers and the first year is so difficult. As my son aged, he moved through the toddler, twos and threes rooms. Ms. Melissa (toddler), who has left since, taught him baby sign language and the first stages of talking, colors and counting. Licensing changes at 2 years old. Its a hard cut off and a lot of newly turned 2 year olds have trouble with the transition. At the time of my son's transition, Ms. Tammy (now infant room teacher) was the toddler whisperer. You would walk into her room and 8 to 12 toddlers were all playing quietly, following directions, or eating a meal together. They would say please and thank you when she gave their snack/meal, they would scoot their chairs in when she said "bellies to the table", take their trash to the trash cans when done with meals and the greatest magic of all is when all kids are asleep at the same time! HOW DO THEY GET ALL KIDS TO SLEEP AT THE SAME TIME? Now my son is in the threes room and we survived potty training with Ms. Zelinda's help. My son didn't hit the terrible twos until he turned three so Ms. Zelinda helped my SURVIVE that lovely stage and reinforce using our words and not our hands. I've seen several directors come through, for varies reasons, and Ms. Rebecca Nehez has made some MAJOR needed improvements to support the teachers, kids and school. She is honest with me and has helped work with me when my son had challenges with transitioning rooms. My son is a busy little boy but very well mannered. I get compliments all the time how advanced or well mannered he is. I attribute this to the KinderCare village that has helped with the highs and lows of the last three years! I'm currently expecting baby number 2 and will starting the process again with Ms. Kristy and Ms. Tammy later this year. read more

My son is almost a year old and started here when he was just over 4 months in the infant program. I did an extreme amount of research when deciding on a daycare location, and settled on the AV KC still with some apprehension. To say I was a nervous first time mom is an understatement. I was terrified to leave my little guy who couldn't fend for himself on his own with strangers. Today, I can confidently say he could not be in better hands and is thriving. My son's primary teachers Miss Kristy, Miss Tammy, and Miss Christina are absolutely amazing. My son lights up when he sees them, and cries if they leave his classroom. All of the teachers and staff my son interacts with truly love and care about him. Teachers I don't even know say Hi to him and he grins from ear to ear. The center changed directors a few months after we started and Miss Rebecca Nehez is welcoming, organized, caring and kind. There have been a few small things I was concerned about, but I spoke up and changes were made quickly and without pushback. I love the report we get each day telling me what he ate, what he did, when he napped, diaper changes, etc. I have noticed there is a bit of turn over, but for the most part my son's teachers have stayed consistent. My son will be moving to the toddler room soon, and Miss Rebecca is working to make sure the timing is right and it's a good transition for him. I'll update my review if anything changes, but know that if you're considering this location, especially for a first time mom leaving a young baby, you can feel confident with selecting AV KC for your child. read more

My kids attended this KinderCare for several weeks in 2016. I planned a mini summer vacation and I explained to director Rebecca several times on the phone and in person that my kids will not attend a summer program. Rebecca kept my kids on the roster during that time without my knowledge and charged me $383. I told her I wasn't going to pay since I informed her several times and my kids were out of town. So KinderCare sent it to collections. They are crooks, please stay away. I wish I could give negative stars. read more

The location is comfortable and the people are professional. We started our two year old here and he didn't cry at drop off and knew his teacher by there name. This is one of the few locations really not in a urban area/shopping center or but more in a park. And it feels safer. There also some nice touches here. With the kids putting their photos on the wall and the free coffee for the parents. This probably applies to all Kindercares, but the food service seems better than average and the schedule of the day seems structured but still fun. The price is reasonable and is all inclusive (not more for materials or food). read more

My daughter and son have attended for over a year. We were new to Southern California, moving from the Midwest and we are VERY happy with the teachers and staff. My two boys have attended Kindercare for about 2 months now and they love it. The teachers are great. Especially my childrens ones. They are always smiling. Answer any questions I have with a thorough response & make sure I keep clothing & pull ups for my baby stocked in his cubby. Overall, I love this place & I'm very greatful to know that they truly do care about the kids. :). Also, even though my kids aren't allergic to Peanuts, I was very shocked to hear that they don't serve it. I was even told that if I wanted to bring a snack for a birthday or something it would have to be store bought so they could look at the ingredients & I must say I fully appreciate & respect this!! read more

We made an appointment to tour the school. We showed up and rang the bell a few times and no one answered. Finally we saw a maintenance worker in the parking lot And we asked where is everyone no one is answering the door. He said he guessed the lady was late and we sat in the waiting area. While we were waiting no teachers came out to talk to us or explain where Polly was. One teacher saw us and said oh are you waiting for Polly we said yes and that's all she said no explanation nothing. We finally left after no one came to talk to us after 15 min. My daughter started Kindercare when she was 3.5 months old. The teachers in the infant room was a huge help in helping me transition my daughter to learning to drink from the bottle. I loved how the center was open and supportive which allowed me to nurse my daughter on my lunch break. My daughter is now 15 months and she is learning something new every day. This is a great school and my dauthers are happy whenever we drop them off. The teachers are very friendly and the directors are fantastic! They kids love their teachers and there is always a fun theme for the week which keeps things exciting. The only bummer is that there are mandatory naps/down time which are pretty lengthy in my opinion. I wish they had a special room and teacher for those kids who no longer need to or want to nap. Because of the nap, my daughter now goes to bed closer to 10pm - hence the four stars. read more

Took my daughter here for about 6 months while I was traveling for work. Compared to the KC I regularly enroll her in, this one wasn't quite as good. They combined the infant and toddler room (which while I know is how it normally is, I'm spoiled with my current KC that has 3 separate rooms all for kids aged 2 and under). The infant room morning staff varied more than I would have liked, but overall the teachers were really nice and caring. KC is pricey, but you get what you pay for, and nothing is too expensive when you adore your babies! read more
